I Feel the Need to Ride Again!

Thursday, April 15, 2010

Did you know that I learned to ride a bike when I was about 3 or 4 years old?! I remember my cousin guiding me about half way and I told him to stop pushing me but when I looked at my back no one was there so I was literally on my own at a very young age. I did fall down at the end of the road but what made me mention that is because I really miss riding my bike. I was really small when I started and the hobby continued when I was in high school. I got into it competitively but I guess it was not really for me. I didn't win small competitions because there were still some kids better than me. I wish there was some way I could get back into riding again and form the symptoms of my gadget acquisition syndrome for dirt bike accessories. That would really be expensive since lighter, tougher bikes are getting to be the trend today.

It is another healthy alternative to my gym routine. I am trying to get another one so I would not be too acquainted with what I am doing now. The change would make me eagerly work out more but I think it is going to be a huge mistake if I often go out and eat or drink with buddies right after my shift. I am sometimes dead tired too but if I want to make this work I need to make necessary adjustments to my lifestyle right?! I need a trip to the bike shop and probably check out a few things in sites like BTO Sports to get ideas how to jazz up my gear! Wish me luck and cross your fingers as I try riding this weekend.

A Superhero Workout!

It was my first day back at gym yesterday. I guess I did enjoy it quite a lot. I never felt tired while running for 1 and a half hour so just imagine my stored energy. I did run quite a long while, I was dripping wet. I never imagined I enjoy running till I did that again. It did remove quite a lot of stress.

After that, I did a couple of sets in benchpress which is my favorite. I guess it was high time I did that again. It did firm me up a bit. I need to work out my tummy more though. It's getting bigger by the day. I am trying to eat less but there are times I need to drink a couple of rounds of beer to keep me a bit sane. You know how it is if I'm a bit lazy I just go home and sleep on it. Eating is really not that much of a big deal for me but I think my portions are way too big for ordinary humans. Heroes like me are on a special diet LOL.

I might not be able to fly if that is the case. But I can still lift a ton or more. I am invincible! So wish me luck on my second attempt at gym! =)

A Truly Noble Profession

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

Being in the medical profession is a very noble job. That makes me think; almost all my cousins are care givers, nurses or doctors. It has been like a trend I guess and I wouldn't blame them because this has been in demand for years now. The aged population for the US, Japan and Europe increased over the decade; and since we supplied medical workers for these countries the medical assistants position has been in dire need too. Since it has been in demand, the chances of getting a job are easy and special assistants for medical specialists are a must.

The medical assistant course can be also achieved through on line programs. In as little as 6 to 8 weeks you can go through the normal procedure of learning on line and taking the exam for this profession through institutions like St. Augustine School of Medical Assistants. There are a lot of people already taking up this course which is quite new to medical professionals in this side of the world. I am optimistic that pretty soon we would be able to also fill up the need for the medical assistant position and still lead in terms of quality in the labor force wherever we may be in the world. I am proud that my family has been part of this industry since the 1940's and helped a lot of people as nurses and doctors for the UN, International Red Cross and Doctors without Borders. I hope I would be able to help too in the near future. It will be in my own little way!

Thank you Ms Daphne Osena Paez, F and OLAY!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Daphne Osena-Paez and the well missed TV show F... and of course OLAY for this package they sent me in the mail this morning. This is the perfect thing for Me, My Mom and My Sister. Mom's been using this since she was a teenager; she got it shipped all the way from the US so imagine around 40 years or maybe more she couldn't remember ha-ha! I liked how her face just light up when she saw the package because she knows most of the products she is using is there and I wouldn't mind sharing. After all she is the one who started this all. If you only could hear the WOOOOOWS and jaw drops in between when we opened the box. I'll treasure each and every bit of it!

Thank you Ms. Daphne! This is indeed a summer to remember! We've been following your site for the longest time and as I said, it pays to be an avid reader! Can't wait for F! (if ever you plan to get together again)... thank you for the opportunity to be part of this... thank you to OLAY too!

=)
