Arrived from the office and have a horrible stomach ache. It must be the Mogu Mogu or Orange Juice that's makin me acidic. It's a terrible way to start the day.

I had a blast this weekend. I went out with the D60Krew and rode the Pasig River Ferry. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It was nice and measuring from the 200 shots I got from it spelled a lot of subjects. It's a breather from those long walks we had but I'm currently burnt right now. Or shall I say Crispy?! LOL

I went out with friends to Malate. Its been a long time since I went there. The place has indeed changed. Lots of other establishments popping up offering the same old service. I miss the old days... but that doesn't mean I'm old okay?! Clear?!

I got my Eheads collectible now. Paid a hefty sum for it but its darn well worth it! I am the envy of my friends now hahaha!

I see some Christmas decors being put up as early as now. Weird but this is the Philippines after all. If there was somewhere that earlier celebrated Christmas it would probably be Bethlehem hahaha.

There are several dead in a bus again in India. They were shot point blank. Now where are those commentators who thought it was just an isolated incident, aren't they going to see this as an international situation?! See what I mean?!

Today, I'm happy but a little bit wee sad. I don't know why but I think it is related to my past rants. I bet it'll be over once I get some sleep. No headache yet and I think I'm good.

I didn't go to gym today, I need lots of sleep and probably go there tomorrow. I'm trying to run at constant pace for at least 5 kilometers because I plan to run a marathon haha! I know I'm laughing with you. =P

ERASERHEADS The Heads Set

Saturday, September 18, 2010

If you followed what I have been writing since time in memorial, you probably know how dead serious I am being fanatic with my idols the ERASERHEADS. I don't understand myself sometimes too but you know that feeling of nostalgia when you see someone you idolize?! Mine's like a hundred times magnified than that. What I like about this experience is that I get to reminisce all the music I love in my genre. It represented who I am culturally. Deep huh?! Haha! I know... its kinda weird but it is what it is.

I did go out with a bang in the 90's. I was with a band, it was called Infinite Pulcer. Pulcer is latin for things that are beautiful, beauteous, fair or handsome. So now you know where we fall LOL. We did a few gigs. That's the cool way to say it. I composed some songs, my friends did too. I sang backup on some of em heheh. Our sound was more of a pop rock thingy. You can differentiate our sound from other noisy ones at that time. We were mostly goodlooking guys LOL this is my site after all so live with it! Hahahaha!

So here you go, I need to do this so my friends would envy me haha! It did cost a lot but its well worth it. I'm going to get is signed too once they go back to Eastwood for a gig. Enjoy!

Nice set huh?! =) It made me smile the whole day!

Meeting Mishaps

Friday, September 17, 2010

Today I went to a special meeting of minds. I met some of my masters in photography and checked a lot of their work. I have to learn and emulate some of their techniques. I try to at least see if we can get some of our businesses to grow since they probably have more connections than me. If you think about it, I will need another day with them to close some deals. I literally had no time for this hobby but I did my best to attend these big ones since almost everyone in the fashion industry is there. That's the ideal place to meet people. One of my biggest mistakes though is not getting enough business cards. I wish I had 123 print make them for me so I wouldn't be problematic. In times like these you need a lot! The office just makes generic ones that are not related to what I'm actually doing. It'll be funny how they'll find out that a geek would actually be their photographer. They'll probably say "It's a weird day!" and I wouldn't tell them otherwise.

I met the best photographers, fashion icons, designers, stylists and make-up artists. I love how the day ended because I definitely learned a lot. I got a couple of people in my phone book and we're doing bigger projects in the next few months. My regret though is not having that much cards to give out to prospective clients. I learned the hard way. It could have been more money for my business. I will have to rethink my strategy next time. Here's hoping for more transactions with the greatest people in the industry! Let's rock!

I think I have to order Jollibee again. It's like staple here so we can't order in the wee hours of the morning for other restaurants because that is the only one open. Choices? It's either that or Rufo's which only get's us to choose on fried saturated induced food stuff. Healthy choice?! We have no choice!

I'm going to Plaza Mexico for a photowalk with my buddies over at D60KREW. I had a blast the last time we went to Binan, Laguna. This one in particular is a journey in Pasig River. The ferry ride starts at that place but I haven't been there before. I'm preparing as early as now so I won't get lost. Then again I wouldn't know til then.

I'm planning to buy a couple of light stands, a softbox and 2 flashes plus triggers and receivers. It's going to cost me a lot but I think I need it more than ever to move forward with my career in photography hehe. Otherwise, I'll just quit! haha!

It's my first time to wear my new contact lenses. It's kinda on the Hazel - light brown shade. I hope it does look good on my eyes. I'm gunning for the GOODLOOKING Spaniard look and I hope this completes it. Don't make kontra! I'm gonna hit you! (Bangasin ko mukha mo!) Hehehe...

Someone revived the Anti Littering Law again in Congress. Don't they have too many laws to think about other than this?! It has been done so many times already and did we really get cleaned up? Were these laws really implemented? Were there people jailed because of it?! I don't think so! But this morning there were a couple of agents who caught 190 pedestrians loitering around town. It includes drivers who didn't have trash bins inside their jeepneys. They are all going to get fined today and forgotten tomorrow. Welcome to the Philippines where we always practice Ningas Cogon!

See you later! Tataaaa!
