Chef's Classics: Chef Mitchie Sison's Line

Wednesday, March 30, 2011

Okay. I know you guys feel weird why I'd attend something that should have been gone to by Mommy bloggers but hey... I CAN COOK... so I've got quite a lot to say about this. I was so happy to be invited to the launch of Chef Mitchie Sison's line; which is part of the Chef's Classics collection by Sunnex.

I've seen a lot of stuff that would be the envy of my Mom specifically their saucepans and indoor smokeless grill. That would be nice to have if we're having my favorite Bangus and steak! Just thinking about it makes me so hungry!

This modern version of a Wok could be the perfect replacement to the normal kawali we Filipinos have. I was educated a bit about how we'd be able to save a lot from using aluminum based pots instead of stainless steel. It's a good conductor therefore it distributes the heat evenly. You won't get the hotspots that we usually get with the latter. Good thing I brushed up on my engineering subjects in college. Strength of Materials anyone?!=)

Oh look at those modernly designed Oil Pourer and Sprayer. You'll get the perfect spritz for that salad that you don't want it drenched with. The salt and pepper shaker grinder was a great tool too so you would get the freshly cracked pepper and salt when cooking. A secret Chef Mitchie Sison shared with us.
Chef Mitchie got on the mood and made us special chicken with mushroom sauce and upside down apple crumbles which tasted so awesome. She cooked everything last night just so we could share it that day. Thanks Chef!

Voila! And here is her Chicken with Mushrooms. 3 kinds of mushrooms + potatoes cooked in the same pot because you can attach a steamer on top. Get two things done at the same time! That just saves a LOT of energy!

Mr. James Sy congratulates Chef Mitchie Sison for something that has been long in the works! This surely was a very happy occasion. Congratulations Chef!

Mr. Sy didn't wast time... he also educated us about the differences between Aluminum based and Stainless steel made pots and pans. It was surely an eye opener for most of us.

It was pretty sad where the design taste of the Filipinos went. It was nice he made the case in point; and showed us why Sunnex has been producing the best ones in the market.

Don't be fooled by the sound of thick Stainless Steel. He illustrates the difference between that and Aluminum sandwich based pots. He won us definitely!
Congratulations Chef Mitchie Sison! I'm sure your adoring fans (famed KATOQUE) and followers would be raving about this new line! It hasn't been released yet but it will surely be a hit!
Thank you so much to the good people at SUNNEX, Aprica, Goody and Philips Avent

Maximizing Your Online Presence

I think I have spent quite a number of years trying to learn a lot about how SEO works. It's a love and hate relationship but just like anything I'm open to any changes. I've dug deep to try and see what would make my site work for the category I fall on which is lifestyle. True enough the words that popularly should have been functionally perfect for me isn't appearing for my site. That makes me a perfect candidate for a reputable ppc agency and the best way to approach this is through experts like them. It would be beneficial to invest there if this site was new or if I plan to pursue communicating words and change its density to something that would relate to my niche. Yes it will take a lot of work but I am optimistic that this would be sufficient.

The effort in making this site recognizable if the words related to it are typed in on any search engine would be really hard. I want to start as early as possible because there are more things in store for me and where this hobby is going to take me. I want to ride the clouds of cyberspace so I can brace for new heights and possibilities. I won't quit until this becomes successful. What have I got to lose anyway! If I'm going to invest time and money on this I have to make sure it would be a success. Do you have plans on making yourself on top of the best search engines? How would you do it? Why would you do in order to achieve that? Would you go out of your way and pay for it too? Let me know!

CITYPOYNT.COM Media Launch Par Deux

Monday, March 28, 2011

Since I'm in the mood for more photos from the Citypoynt.com Event I went to last week, here's some more!

This blue torn up gown was nice and happy. A little form fitting on the top (corset like) and the above knee + tail treatment on it made the whole look really nice for cocktails. Stars with big chests would probably look good at it since it deviates away from the top half and shows the legs instead.

The gray glitter + oversized bow didn't really work for me. This is one dress that can probably only be worn by size zero to one women. Chiffon like fabric for the ribbon made it quite off putting for the whole garment. I think this dress would probably live alone on its own. Don't you agree?

Vavavoom! Very nice execution! This tiny black dress definitely did it... although that chain belt on it made it look cheap. Maybe some other ones but still with the silver tone for a belt can work.

Now for the guys...

This shiny silver looking coat and slacks looks nice on him. Still this is going to be classified in a not so formal cocktail evening. Preferably better if it is worn by fair skinned men if you want to have that Vampire vibe. Edward will surely envy you hahah!

I didn't think orange was going to work but just look at him. If it fits nice and the patterns are easy you won't go wrong with it. These things look like a modern take on the common barong just with different fabrics and colors. If that is what he wanted to have its going to work. Maybe because the guy was a little dark and chiseled on his face it looked way better than what its supposed to look like. I wouldn't wear this on a normal day.

Ahhh.. see what I mean about the barong thing earlier? Yeah, I think I've seen a couple of these from Ben Chan's store. I bought a lot of that but I pretty much outgrew them LOL. The guy wearing it wasn't working the clothes. It looked ordinary on him... sorry!

Nope. Saw this guy in Fashion week a year ago but if you talk about what he's wearing now and the one I saw he used from last season, this is an absolute bore. Blue ain't working. It looks Ateneish if there's a proper word for it. The body didn't match the wardrobe.

Here's more shots from the event..

Raymond Guttierrez and DJ Mo Twister hosted the event!

The toast for the success of Citypoynt.com
It wouldn't be complete if we didn't have champagne of course! Ha-ha!

Thanks Citypoynt.com! I had so much fun!

Photo op time with Mo Twister! Sorry its blurred. I didn't take the photos obviously LOL

Raymond Guttierez and Richard Guttierrez... ahmm John Regala?? LOL no we're not related!
Again thanks to Citypoynt.com I got to enjoy the evening at Republiq! =)

CITYPOYNT.COM Media Launch - Get Signed Up!

The world lost a second but this one made it stop. Citypoynt.com launched this Thursday March 24, 2011 at the posh Republiq, Resorts World in Pasay City. Hosts DJ Moe Twister and Raymond Gutierrez brought the grand evening's ceremonies a quirky touch to the delight of marketing professionals, advertisers, bloggers, fashionistas, and peeps from the Citypoynt Community. It was impressive to say the least; I got to feel the vibe they wanted for us to experience... and after a few cocktails in between... I was in for more!

To tell you honestly, I was thinking about what Citypoynt.com was all about when I went and registered through their site. The concept is pretty simple. They have only one thing in mind... the consumers. Imagine a social network platform that offers unimaginable deals and only shows you what you want.

The system itself is that smart as it filters only those which you are interested in. This is one amazing feature so businesses would be able to concentrate on the audience that buys and would be interested in their services. You won't have to go through the rummage of SPAM emails that doesn't work at all. This is ingenious!

As if the evening wasn't enough to celebrate that, there were dancers and models who came out to entertain us all. I'm a fashion photographer and this was a great thing to start off the Fashion Week season eh?!

Check em out!

Plus there was an overload of models that night! Perfect for the Fashion Photographer in me! I won't compress these so you get to enjoy the photos! =)

It was a hot sizzling evening! Now if that wasn't enough fashion and entertainment for one evening they also gave away IPADs, Blackberry units and a brand new Samsung Galaxy Tab! Oooh the possibilities are endless with Citypoynt.com because the Deals are Designed for you! so make sure you go and get signed up now! Click Here then like them on Facebook for updates by logging in on http://www.facebook.com/citypoynt
