Surely the Best Comedy Film of the Year! Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak!

Wednesday, April 13, 2011

I am so lucky! I don't really meet celebrities that much these days but I was so glad I got invited in the press conference of Pak! Pak! My Doctor Kwak! at ABSCBN's Dolphy Theater. Watch this!

Star Cinema and MZET Productions finally released this great film from the one and only Prince of Comedy "Bossing" Vic Sotto and Romance-Drama Princess Bea Alonzo. Directed by Tony Y. Reyes this surely will be another unforgettable comedy film for the whole family. I got there on time and boy I was really star struck with Bossing. Just look at this humble, handsome guy up close when they walked in the venue.

I was thinking "Oh my God! There he is! Ang Idol ko! Heheh" as Bossing (which he is fondly called) walked inside the ABSCBN Gardens. He is a household name and everyone knows him weather they belong to class ABCDE. Not that there is a caste system here but I was just pointing out he is loved by everybody!

Look at who he's also with on that press conference... the pretty Bea Alonzo. She's an eye-catcher to say the least and we know here from her films and TV team ups with local cinema hearthrob John Lloyd Cruz. Apparently this is very new and who would ever thought they would be in the same movie together. There was a lot of discomfort from the movie press and the viewing public because as you can see in the cast, a lot of them are from GMA which is an arch enemy in Philippine television of ABSCBN; Star Cinema's parent corporation.

From L-R Jose Manalo (GMA), Pokwang, Direk Tony Y. Reyes, Wally Bayola(GMA), Vic Sotto (GMA), Bea Alonzo, Zaijan Jaranilla and Xyriel Manabat.

The cast ain't no small thing too. The best comedians from both channels are in this movie. You can expect a riot from Jose, Wally and Pokwang. The throwing of lines and antics will surely get you in a strain of laughter once the movie starts. Did you know Jose and Wally are named Phil and James? Yeah I know! The AZKALS must be jealous! LOL!

Bossing Vic Sotto was serious before the interview of Ms. Korina Sanchez in TV Patrol.
See how pretty she is up close? That's Bea Alonzo for you!

This film wouldn't be possible without the help of Ms. Malou Santos, the Head of ABSCBN Entertainment Group. This must be her pet project!

Bossing and Bea laughing it out while being interviewed live on TV Patrol on this snap shot.

This movie is all about Vic Sotto, a quack doctor that fell inlove with a real doctor played by Bea Alonzo. Zaijan Jaranilla (who played the role of an Angel) fell from heaven and made the miracles true. The story revolved around this but I wouldn't want to give away the details. That, and the great comedic cast... you should really watch this movie. You won't see anything like this happen in the near future because it is so hard to get people from different networks together. Make sure you buy tickets once it opens on April 23, 2011. Yes that is Black Saturday and this feel good movie will surely be a treat for the whole family!

The cast and director of Pak! Pak! My Doctor Kwak! Vic Sotto will surely make you laugh all throughout the movie as the Quack Doctor. Please watch it! I know I will! =)

This film is Directed by Tony Y. Reyes.

P.S.

I saw one of the greatest models in the Philippines interviewing them. Ms. Angel Aquino, please let me have you in one of my fashion shoots! Pushing my luck here! Ha-ha!

It's UNISILVERTIME!

Monday, April 11, 2011

It was just a typical evening when I suddenly found a friend posting a promo in Facebook. It was about UNISILVER TIME and to tell you honestly I haven't seen any of their watches yet. I know Unisilver for obvious reasons like the silver products that I absolutely adore. I probably have bought hundreds of pairs (no joke!) because I gave some of them away to friends too. I knew them by name recall with that but I was glad to have known Unisilver Time... why you ask?! Take a look at this! >>>>>>

This is actually one of the most stylish good looking watch I've ever seen. It's not too glittery or fancy. It's interior even bears the map of the Philippines which I absolutely adore! The black and white finish on it makes it the perfect accessory to pair with any relaxed/outgoing clothes, non-formal or formal outfits bar none! To tell you honestly I don't own a watch now because they usually get ruined after a few days. I'm one of those guys who sweat profusely under the sweltering heat of the sun and with leather straps plus metal casings it wouldn't paint a nice picture. This was definitely perfect for me so I did the deed of joining their FB page's contest and shared it as well to my friends.

A few days after, I received a private message from Unisilver Time's Marketing Manager Ms. Cathy Ygoña and the good news was... I WON!!!!! =)

Instructions on how to claim the prize was all there and it was nice because I got to hang out with my folks afterwards because it was in Binondo (haven of the best Authentic Chinese Restaurants and Savory Chicken). When I went to the building I actually remember it from a previous photowalk I did with some of my fellow photographers. Let me just get that photo... ahh here it is!

They got me balling when they gave me the watch! Oooh I was so excited about it! It was right there! It was true! They gave me my own Unisilver Time watch!

As a matter of fact, I sooo Love it! It's so perfect for me, I was ecstatic and even decided to wear em right there and there! My Dad was envying me all the way to the restaurant and wanted to have one too! I'll probably buy him one soon. Let me just take this chance to say THANK YOU to Unisilver Time I love the watch so much I'm going to wear it everyday and tell all my friends I got it from you guys! Again thank you so much! =)

It's Unisilver Time!

They Must Be Crazy!

Sunday, April 10, 2011

The actual reason why I named my site in such a way is because some people think I'm crazy. I self diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I am extremes since when I feel depressed; my whole world collapses. If I am happy I can turn gray ones into clowns. People have been telling me that I should still seek professional help. I actually did but they said I'm normal so let's not spend too much time on that issue. I am worried though because there are people who take medications for psychological conditions that is really harmful. Imagine pregnant women having irreversible birth defects, unusual bleeding here and there, vertigo, hallucinations and a lot more horrible things that can happen upon intake of it. I would never recommend it to any of my relatives or friends and if I have to I'd participate in depakote lawsuit then say my piece against the medicine. The bad effects obviously outweigh the good and if I were in their shoes, I'll never even think about it.

It is horrible that babies could just die like that. How could they still prescribe this legally? Life is so precious; and if someone who undergoes depression needs it but later on gets the horrible effects that would be so appalling! What would you do if you were in that situation? Would you still take the bitter pill if it would cost the life of your child? I know you know the answer to that question.

Good News and Bad News: Taal Volcano

Well in some not so special news, Tagaytay is really nervous because of increased volcanic activity and Phivolcs have issued Alert level 2 on the volcano. People don't actually know that the island in the middle of the lake is the actual volcano. That should be a no man's land but there are approximately 8,000 of them living in it. Imagine what horrible things could happen there if it does erupt. I'm not surprised but government should make laws to get this done soon. I wouldn't want to see Tagaytay, our land and our house there just go to waste. There must be some other way things could get better soon.

Tourism is their main industry and if they don't take care of their people the industry would just die a natural death. Agriculture also is trying to recover but this situation wouldn't help. I'm as worried as the people who live there. I have relatives who are permanent residents there and if there are no permanent solution given to them, it'll just be an unending cycle that also would cost thousands of lives. I hope the volcano ceases to do anything and releases its pressure because as experience taught any volcanologist, any active volcanoes that don't erupt for a long amount of time turn out more destructive afterwards. My prayers go out to them too. Hope nothing big would happen soon.

Do you have relatives in that area? I suggest you call them and tell them to be prepared. You need to remind them. I'm telling you!
