The Voice Season 2 on AXN Asia!

For those who moved like Jagger last year, The Voice Season 2 is back and showing soon on AXN Asia! You'll still get to see your favorite judges/coaches: POWER BELTER Christina Aguilera, HUNKY Adam Levine, PHENOM Cee Lo Green and COUNTRY SUPERSTAR Blake Shelton. Watch them bicker anew and find talents without the faces on February 6, 2012 all on AXN Asia!

This season, there is a new twist! Mark Burnett has gotten more fierce by letting 12 contestants now for each coach; so this will be a tougher year to choose talents, a tougher year to pic who's going to have a bigger kick out of the bucket. Just imagine the auditions that this particular program has to go through just to choose a couple of people for a life changing prize! Just ask Javier Colon who just started recording songs with Natasha Bedingfield and working with his mentor Adam Levine... things are just getting brighter! Not to mention runner ups Beverly McClellan and Vicci Martinez who are getting their own respective breaks too! Will you just stand there and watch mediocre reality shows instead of watching THE VOICE SEASON 2?! Exactly! Make sure you get those cable providers informed and get ready for a GREAT season! This is SomeDayDream!

Dreamy. That is SomeDayDream.

I saw SomeDayDream aka Rez a couple of months ago during the Terranova launch. I wasn't really a fan of his music because I'm a purist house/trance fanatic. I guess I didn't open my eyes and ears that day because I didn't know... that I was missing a lot. Before everything became so phenomenal with his career he was into bands and he really enjoyed times with them quite obviously. When that didn't get too far and went on his own, he had so much creative freedom and a lot of people took notice of it. That was the time when Arthur Bernard Dolino Lui Pio aka Champ former front man of the band Hale signed him up as the first artist of Mecca Music his own label. Someone this famous and artistically inclined believing in SomeDayDream only spelled quite a formula for success. Today, after getting so much airplay and fame on MYX and other media channels... SomeDayDream is enjoying the perks of being the only artist with a Electronic Pop genre in the Philippines. His success in 2011 was quite evident, we're all excited what he has in store for 2012!

I was lucky to have been invited in his first bloggers night. Saying YES alone to this occasion was a confirmation on how he sees online media and its influence on the public, after all he was a product of YOUTUBE and he is quite a phenom up until now. His style is original; and he barely listens to other music because he wants to concentrate on his craft. This is my second time to see him perform live, but this time it is a bit different. I listened to his first song... and I got it... I totally get it now.

The vibe is totally different as he makes use of synthesizers much of the track. It sounds so cool and funky. It's very reminiscent of those DJ tracks from European artists, but this one is truly Pinoy. No wonder people initially thought the commercial jingle was from a foreign artist. Add to that his boyish charms and great attitude, SomeDayDream will surely go places! If a guy only had a positive disposition just like him, women would probably be falling on their knees and go gaga. I'm not joking. Listening to his tracks is like clockwork, you kinda can't help but dance a bit. It's perfectly put together and not cheesy. Actually, I'd put this in the classy category but VERY tasteful all the way through. It's not awkward listening to and if you ask the throng of people who listen to him now, take a few passes on his songs because once you love and get to him through his music... you'll never go back. That's how infectious it became to me. I told him point blank after the show that I'm a fan now... and I'm not embarrassed to say that even if I'm a guy.

Speaking of places, he's also got mall shows on February 11 at SM Las Pinas, February 18 at SM Bicutan, February 19 at SM Marikina and on February 25 at SM Sucat. All of them starts at 5PM so make sure you catch him there! Don't forget to also grab a copy of his self titled album SomeDayDream in all record bars nationwide! This is your chance to listen to the full version of "Hey Daydreamer!", Delivery Boys, Do-Do With You (which is my personal favorite) and a lot more.

Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz Stars Unofficially Yours in theaters February 15

It looks like John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin will give you a February you won't forget as they star on their latest film called Unofficially Yours. This is again brought to us by Star Cinema and Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina. Hit after hit this particular production company didn't let go on coming up with the best romantic comedy films which have worked for them quite well in 2010 and 2011. Now, the much awaited team up between John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin (both big stars from ABSCBN) will glitter on the silver screens come February 15, 2012.

We got the chance to witness the red carpet press conference a few days ago and believe it or not this was my first time to see John Lloyd in the flesh. We didn't get to interact that much because of the huge crowd of media people seen there. I could barely even shoot to tell you honestly but since I love you guys that much, I got some nice closeup shots while they were asked some questions about the movie.

She's so pretty I know. John Lloyd even said that Angel Locsin REALLY deserves the title SEXIEST WOMAN IN THE PHILIPPINES since he did a couple of scenes with her during the film. He jokes sometimes Angel even took off her clothes without thinking so much about it because she wants everything to be fluid. They didn't want any hitches or more drama shooting it. Angel Locsin was so sexy that afternoon... she turned heads and John Llloyd did the same for girls. People were tweeting me non stop telling me "Pakisabi kay John Lloyd I LOVE YOU" hehe.

The Martinez girls also are in this movie. They said that this is a big opportunity and they weighed it was time to do so even if they were still studying. Mom Yayo convinced them and why not, they would be working with John Lloyd, Angel and Director Cathy. It was a done deal just from the cast alone; and the Director too.

Angel was actually a little uncomfortable answering some of the questions because she really felt she was in the same situation. She loves someone and felt that they never even have a title yet. Just like in the movie.

John Lloyd Cruz on the other hand is proudly IN A RELATIONSHIP. They never really lost touch (referring to Shaina Magdayao) and they are getting stronger everyday. He doesn't diss what Angel has though because he believes that whatever makes a person happy; he/she should pursue it!

The writer agrees that this film apparently tackles something similar to the No Other Woman formula which discusses something that already exists in the society yet nobody talks about it.

Edgar Allan Guzman, Boom Labrusca also are on this film and play some of John Lloyd's confidants. They bring some sort of ingredient to the discussion of just plainly having friends with benefits/One night stands and the advantages on the side of the guy.

I guess John Lloyd has a lot of things to say but in LOVE there is no right or wrong way to do it. They believe in doing whatever means to make an individual happy. Angel Locsin admits to everyone that she is into love but not into titles. Isn't that just sweet?!

A Breath Of Fresh Air: Sabrina in her latest album "I Love Acoustic 4"

Sabrina. She's a breath of fresh air.

I was in a room full of media people when I got to meet her in person. As always I put my personal taste in music aside and had to have my senses open to new ones. I'm so glad I did because I couldn't imagine what would it be like without me knowing her closely like that.

I'm a skeptic to artists who do covers but I have a friend who I frequently go out with; and I saw his CD collection ~ all in his car. There were only a couple of them but three definitely stood out; it was the name Sabrina in all of them; so I immediately asked my friend about her. Laughed about his song choices too. What makes her so special?! Why acoustic?! What does she sound like?!... he immediately grabbed the CD's out of my hand and inserted it in the car's player. That's when that "Oh, so that's why!" moment happened.

Listening to her was one thing; then I actually saw her during the Greyson Chance concert in Eastwood City. If you saw the multitude of people screaming for Greyson I'm sure you'll be nervous, but she went right through her set and opened for the International artist. This is the first official time I listened to her live!

She was well received by the throng of people that were there. Remarkable voice and the song choices was another story. Then I said "She's good!"... it takes a whole lotta time before I do say that. To say the least, I was impressed.

In her first bloggers night, she was just sitting and doing interviews for media. Her presence was really not condescending. She waved and made sure we were a little comfortable above anything else. She made us feel right at home. I adore stars who do that to me, (ie Rocco Nacino, Kris Bernal, Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales)... she gets me this time too. Now that I like her, she gave us a very nice chat. We felt so nice talking to her that way. It was so comforting that an artist who racked in multiple PLATINUM awards in Indonesia had her feet on the ground. She never alienated anyone while we were there. Plus the fact that she obliged to sing a couple of songs... now that takes a lot and she did it to the delight of online people I was with at that time.


She has got a lot of things planned for this year, now that she's also broken through the South East Asian market it'll be a lot busy this time. She's got a couple of originals also planned. Her versions of new songs in her NEW fourth album is just as impressive. Make sure you get your own copies of "Sabrina: I Love Acoustic 4" nationwide. I adore her "Last Friday Night", "Rolling in the Deep", "That should be me" and "Moves Like Jagger" version and if you get to listen to it, pat yourself in the back because you did a good thing. She's got 17 tracks and a bonus one so if you purchase it from record bars, it's totally worth it! I promise to buy another one for myself since my friend's going to get this one which she happily signed.

Thank you Sabrina! Stay nice and genuine; and you'll go a lot of places! I believe you'll start change the Philippine singing landscape that only knows belting and equate it to the greatness of their music. You totally deserve the title of Asia's Acoustic Princess! You are way better than that! xoxo
