Summer is hotter with Banana Boat Sunscreen Lotion, Schick, & Nuffnang

My ideal Nuffnang summer is...

DSC_0012

A breeze that would make your summer nights colder, a tall glass of Tequila Sunrise, a beach that stretches around 7 KM of white beach sand and a hammock tied up in 2 coconut trees while watching the majestic sunset happen in its shores. Now how's that for a Nuffnang Summer? =)

DSC_0009

This happened just this February. I had a blog hiatus at this time and I just needed a break from all of the stress in the city. This vacation gave me more than what I bargained for because this sunset shots I got just made everything worth it! It's like "Schick. Free your skin." because the freedom I got there totally disconnecting from technology made me understand how much love I have for my self and my family. It's like saying "Banana Boat Sunscreen Lotion. We've got you covered." to me because I felt that everything I did at this time Boracay really gave me the time of my life!

Looks like Nuffnang is going to hook us up again this coming week in HUNGER GAMES. Thank you so much for making our summer a tad bit nicer! =)

I Voted... You Should Too! The BENCH 1M41M Campaign!

Sunday, March 11, 2012

What can a single tweet do? What can your statement do in this campaign? In this day and age you probably think it's worthless to just message friends and family. BENCH knows how powerful social media is; and your social network would be the key ingredient to make this particular campaign to work. Simply put it, they are donating through their 1M41M program a million pesos to the charities of these artists. As you know I am campaigning for two people but BENCH has been thinking about the charities and they will give this now 100,000 every time that your favorite tops the votes. Who's faring better?

Here's the latest tally!

1

Yes it's our beloved Jason Francisco on top and when he keeps this lead he'll surely be getting a 100,000 upto 1 Million Pesos for his charity Mother of Mercy Home for the Elderly. I love his cause and will be campaigning for him of course! I know how the elderly needs all the love they can get. They only have a few years so giving back to people who have spent their lives in the Philippines is just right. MELASON, Pexers, Tropang Jason and other clubs... asahan ko ba ang tulong nyo?! =)

Serious na si Pareng Jason oh! =)

Iboto natin ang may "SWAG" pag Philippine Fashion Week! =) go to http://www.benchtm.com/1m41m/ and vote for him now!

I also have my other bets like Rocco Nacino, he's rooting for the Cancer Warriors Foundation. This guy also has gone leaps and bounds in his career and he sternly believes in helping some of our less fortunate and ailing kababayans. It's really expensive to go to hospitals and have treatment for Cancer, my Grandma died from complications of it and I hope people see they need to help people, isang follow sa twitter lang. That's all they ask for and you would have your idols help their chosen charities. Go to www.benchtm.com/1m41m and get yourself counted! Let's give them all the help they can get!

1

Now, I won't force you guys to vote for those who I voted for because this is a free country. There are other celebrities in the campaign too so if you want to vote for your favorite celebrities, please do.

Oh and I almost forgot to tell you, I met Jake Cuenca, the beautiful Janine Gutierrez and the gorgeous, statuesque Isabelle Daza through Bench.

Isabelle Daza would like you to vote for her and the charity she's helping EPHESUS, HOME OF THE ABUSED GIRLS in BULACAN. Teen pregnancy has been very rampant and without family to help or support them, this foundation would do just that. Isn't that reason enough to follow @benchtm and vote for her cause?

Jake Cuenca is rooting for C.R.I.B.S. Foundation (Create Responsive Infants By Sharing). Kids/Babies who have been abandoned, neglected or been born to teen parents who can't raise them are been taken cared of in this agency. Kids do not have the capability to choose their parents and there are less fortunate ones who go through this. The number is quite alarming and this foundation is to help them, would you want to help these kids? Then Jake asks you to vote for him here http://www.benchtm.com/1m41m/.

It was my first time seeing her since Philippine Fashion Week. Although we didn't talk that much she had this very nice aura. She was tall and beautiful. I used to watch Lotlot and Monching's show in Channel 9 (pardon the age) but I didn't think she was going to be this gorgeous. Ganda no? =) She's helping White Cross Childrens Home in San Juan. It's quite close to where I live and I have been there a couple of times. Kids need you and your help, it just takes you a couple of minutes to press buttons and vote for her charity. We should do it and help these celebrities help these charities now!

1

I don't think I should convince you further, it's your turn to help and I know you are going to do your part in helping your idols. Please follow @benchtm and vote these celebrities and their cause on this website http://www.benchtm.com/1m41m/.

Affordable, Porkylicious Chickentastic Food at FLORING'S Fort Bonifacio

It was a fine quaint afternoon when I decided to go and eat out with some blog friends at Bonifacio Global City. I needed to get my Pork and Chicken fix that weekend so I never hesitated to drop by the newest restaurant in this side of town. It's called FLORING'S and it's in 4th Avenue cor 31st Street. Their best seller is the pork barbecue and I had to have that plus the chicken; I went inside to take a look.

Good thing the line wasn't that long yet because it was a little too early for lunch. The place get's packed at that time so make sure you get there early or maybe a little over 12PM because it'll be easier to order. They have a fast line but you can't discount the fact that people flock here because two things: 1 is price points and 2 the gorgeous food they had to offer!

Yes, you are seeing it right. The price point is unbelievably low! In a place like Fort Bonifacio it's literally impossible to see a restaurant serve at these rates. Then we had barbecue and chicken for lunch.

For 99 pesos I got these two sticks of barbecue and its packed quite nicely. The servings are generous and what's more jaw dropping is that they even serve UNLIMITED RICE! O_O! If you are in the mood to eat and get the best value for money food in this side of the world, make sure you drop by this establishment when you are in the area. I had 4 cups of rice so just imagine how hungry I was for this! You can also opt for the JAVA rice for 120 and get unlimited too!

Don't forget to try out their Pork Sisig! It's the best thing with hot white rice. I love how they have available condiments like Vinegar, Soy Sauce and Hot Sauce nearby for those who love it spicy. Loved the crunch on those bits of pork too.

You can cut the pork flavor with the salty - fresh tasting Ensaladang Talong that's sooo good with the shrimp paste aka BAGOONG. Isn't the picture enticing? You'll have the same experience and more if you visit them now.

Lechon Manok never tasted so good. Imagine these huge servings which you can get whole (299) or half (165). Or take a bit of it for 99 pesos. Choose from Regular or Diablo version and you'll never regret the experience. It's that good!

If you don't want it roasted you can ask for this Crispy Chicken Tastic viand with gravy. Ooh it made my mouth water just thinking about the gravy pairing. Don't you just love how they make everything easy for us?! Crispy, juicy and right on the budget.

Make sure you don't miss the Halo Halo. It's the perfect way to end the meal. It's the perfect thing to have this summer... you need to get cold ye know! =)

Congratulations to the proud owners of this project; Restaurateur Ricky Laudico and Chef Florabel Co-Yatco. You are now venturing something big in the Filipino mainstream food business; you really can't deny this is a successful venture. Just look at the line when the clock struck 12. Yes, they are not even surprised that the line grew to somewhere outside the restaurant!

The Ambiance:

The restaurant boasts of a hole in the wall vibe. The walls though are adorned with graphics and interiors signifying the roasted content that they have on the menu. If you opt to have a more private space, check out the second floor as the place really gets so packed in the afternoon. I love the lighting fixtures, I love the graphic boards that are suspended in the ceiling. The place is pretty much well thought out. So please, do yourself a favor and check out FLORING'S. It's at the corner of 4th Avenue and 31st in Fort Bonifacio.

Don't take my word for it, make sure you get your money's worth and try out the special things that FLORING'S has to offer. You won't regret it!

Capisce?!

Call 02-9666873 for more information. They are open from 10AM -11PM everyday. =)

BUM Releases More for "Dare to Evolve" Summer Collection!

Thursday, March 08, 2012

Since a lot of you guys went haywire on the Daniel Padilla et al photos from BUM, I have more of these now since they have released their new collection. Shying a bit from the punk rock line that they had last year, they make this summer release a thing to talk about because they'll play a little classy this time. With the addition of Daniel Padilla as their new endorser, it's perfect for those teens who prefer quite rowdy yet toned down look. They also have colors now which is not what we have seen last season. Are you ready?!

Kshirts

They call this a K-Shirt probably because of the layers they can do with it much like the KPOP scene wardrobe seen in those Korean boybands. Obviously they are not afraid to get these on your favorite shops to make your BUM Equipment a tad colorful. You can mix and match this with the ones you had last year and it'll still look great. BUM thinks about investment clothing for the youth which mostly is their market. It's a smart choice if you get one of these!

aztecbtw

Influenced by the tribal minority in Mexico, BUM actually uses the patterns and figures to create a new look and print on their shirts. Wearing one or more of their wares is a lifestyle; and to fully capture that vibe that they want to express in this collection it is tantamount that you understand where the brand wants you to go. It's something a little tribal, playing with the figures of the past and making it part of the wardrobe now. It's a great attempt for a clothing brand.

chunktee

For girls/women who adore loose fit blouses/shirts then this is the one for you. Funky and colorful, BUM gears toward a different vibe now. They are staying a tad away from plain jane black and white and experiments with colors to the delight of girls who still want to be beautiful yet a tad different.

aztecgtw

Just like in the Men's collection BUM makes use of the more feminine symbols to capture the AZTEC vibe in these shirts bared by Bea Binene. Matching what they currently have in their closets plus these colorful tops with exaggerated prints is a must have this summer. You got to have more busy lines in the eyes. Make sure you get attention that you need when you have to just by wearing these shirts and more from BUM!

Oh and I just passed by their stall in SM a few nights ago. They've got these huge tumblers given away to patrons who purchase P 400 worth of their items which will give you one sticker. You need to collect five (5) of these stickers and put it in one (1) card and you can get it for free! This promo started last March 1 and will run until April 30, 2012. Make sure you get these collectibles! I'm sure you'll have a grand time! This is SWAG!
