Conviction, Courage and Comrade: Coco Martin's New Scents for Bench

It must have been so hard for Coco Martin to reach the top. He's done his dues and got so much to thank for in the industry he now calls his own. From doing indie films to making mainstream ones, to making his own commercials from national and global brands, to TV and his hit show Walang Hanggan, Coco Martin now is the main guy to carry a brand new perfume for BENCH. I got to see him during the launch cum fashion show a few days ago and for me, it just felt right. It was time to see what fragrances from Grasse, France and this pretty boy had concocted for all of us as they called these deo cologne sprays Conviction, Courage and Comrade.

A guy suddenly swings out of nowhere and got down on the stage. 

 

They burst into a dance number. Oh my it's the freakin awesome Philippine All Stars!

Gorgeous guys came out in their opening salvo personifying the first scent Comrade. Clothes are nice and I dig the tops, jackets and jeans. Then look who just came in to the delight of the cocoholics!

It was like 2000 decibels of women screaming all at the same time LOL

Coco Martin took out his gun and did this! :)

Then he shoots some more before he went out! :) He must have enjoyed it hehe :)

Then a second dance number commenced. Now this must be Courage :)

I wonder where they got the tuxedos. Maybe a designer that did a collab with Bench as well. I must figure that out next time.

Looking good and dapper in his outfit on this bit. I'm not surprised they were screaming still, even the media on the other row agrees, just look at their faces LOL

Then a more hiphop and urban kind of music played. Philippine All Stars just brought it!

They were flipping and making passes while they did their thing. It was awesome!

Now that set was colorful, form fitting and quite nice. It's very young and hip which is perfect for the crowd. I think that part was Conviction. I love this particular fragrance because it was a little lime and very fresh... very citrus. It was light and perfect for that small hints of accents you wanted to have on your body. This is perfect for me :)

See what I mean when I said they were colorful? :) Those awesome clothes and equally YUMMY scents from Coco Martin just made my day. Even if you were not as good looking as he is maybe just a spritz of this newest addition to the Deo cologne line of Bench would make you smell a tad more like Coco c^^,) I'm actually using it right now and it's just great! I love it!

National Geographic Channel Presents Doomsday Preppers!

I know Earth will end some day. I know this rock will also cease to stop spinning. I know there will be thousands of earthquakes, storms, fire, meteors, comets which I won't probably see in this lifetime. Well I might if we end up really having that end of the world thing come December 21, 2012 according to the Mayan and Egyptian calendar. Weather it is going to happen or not it pays to be ready. When getting ready for the end of the world, what would you do? Well they've got people and whole families doing that just now in the USA. Case in point are these doomsday preppers!

Yes, National Geographic Channel wanted you to stay in your shelters and see these extreme preparations that other people elsewhere in the world does to survive any threat that his end of the world prediction has brought upon us.

Imagine the sun having millions of atomic explosions suddenly sends a huge solar flare from the sky and sends immeasurable damage to communication, electricity and totally disabling every bit of man made technology there is in the planet. We probably would live a very sad and uncomfortable lives but there's this guy who prepared for this. He made his own shelter underground, stocked on thousands of dollars worth of supplies like food and all the necessities this early. 

He can survive all of this comfortably while we depend on others too much and probably perish from hunger and other means. Coleen and Scott has a full pantry, prepping and stockpiling food, water, protein (yes they have tons of meat in bottles etc.). They can even morse code in the dark and speak tagalog. Cathy prepares for black swan events like earthquakes and grows their food in the backyard, they are that prepared. Dennis on the other hand and his whole family prepared for economic chaos/hyperinflation and does prepare food, cans em almost the whole day. They can last for a whole year without going out and buy something in a grocery. He also delegates labor to his family members making them better equipped than any other family in the US and in the world. It is rare but without them doing this and disaster strikes, how can we ever get prepared?

It's a good thing National Geographic Channel has got the next best thing we should do instead of just minding the warning signs.

Watch how they do it and more come September 17 on your local National Geographic Channels at 9PM. We already got to watch a couple of episodes during the launch and you'll surely gonna think about what will happen if it does occur. We can just never be too ready so make sure you watch this tomorrow okay?

Seen in the photo above, Jeff Barber, the Vice President for Mid Range Storage, Systems and Technology Group for IBM explains that the data we are gathering from an enterprise and corporate standpoint are increasing exponentially. The Asean region alone utilizes a huge chunk of these storage requirements and the only way you can cope up with this is by smart systems that has the intelligence and efficiency of handling this big data. We were shocked to see the numbers but it looks like they've got that covered. With things that can understand and automatically manage your data for you even in several brands that would normally not work together, the IBM Smarter Storage can run with your evolving infrastructures which even in some way future proof your systems. Now isn't that smart? 

If you know about Watson and the wonderful things he did for championing Jeopardy, that's exactly what they are going to be implementing in these storage systems. The proper management of data via virtualization, de-duplication, automated (even multilevel) tiering and cataloging can't be done by other known systems but IBM has that on their sleeve.
