AYALA Christmas Lights Show!

Monday, November 19, 2012

Where have you been lately? Been going out in the mall? Going to parks? Dating someone and not able to think of places to go? Well don't despair because there's something new in Ayala that would definitely make your Christmas a tad better!

This is the AYALA Christmas Lights Show which happens at the Ayala Triangle Gardens in MAKATI. It's right across the Philippine Stock Exchange and the place get's packed at night. This particular display is absolutely free so if you don't have anything to do this Christmas and you want your family, friends or loved one to enjoy here in the Philippines, then this is definitely the place to go!

I never thought I could have something worthy to be my FACEBOOK cover but am now the envy of my friends and family. Facebook cover images like these just give me the chills. It's the perfect thing to have if you want to show off your kind of photography. It's been ages since we've changed the ones on my pages too. It's a pretty neat way of attracting people to interact or just like your page (which reminds me you ought to do that right now!). So now, it's the cover page of my site. Isn't it neat?

Going back to AYALA, even though it is a business district you should always have something to spark the interest of the people inhabiting the place. People who work in nearby tall buildings flock the area to see a glimpse of the lights to the latest tunes, which is available in Philippine and English contemporary Christmas music. You'll see new things happen before your eyes and you wouldn't believe they can actually do these wonderful things in one spot. It actually runs from 6PM up until 9PM with 30 minute intervals. Then after that they just leave the lights on until 12AM. You should definitely visit this place because if you've seen what I've seen last weekend you'll probably come back and bring your friends too. Nearby restaurants would make your trip so convenient because you can grab something to bite when you're hungry. Else, you can just opt for a cup of coffee and share it with the one you love!

We had tons of fun playing there. Now it's your turn to do the same! Come and join the thousands who throng to AYALA this season and make sure you drop by the AYALA Christmas Lights Show too!

Lee Min Ho for Bench: Photos from The Press Conference

Sunday, November 18, 2012

I'm not a fortune teller but I know people would go gaga over this guy right here. Who is he? Well it's no other than Lee Min Ho. He's an Asian Superstar. He's also the newest GlobalBenchSetter. Yes you heard that right, he is the newest endorser of global brand Bench; and we were able to see him when he arrived in the Philippines. Without further ado, here are the shots from the afternoon press conference held at Makati.

We were really near the stage. This is my first time seeing him in the flesh but you know who were giggling at the sides? Some of the press people were fans of Lee Min Ho too.

Oh Sang-mi also known as Sam Oh (of popular cable channel ETC) hosted the event. Yes she is Korean and can speak Filipino and English fluently too. She was just the perfect person to host this event without the need of an interpreter.Genius!

Then he was called in! *insert screams here*

Then he introduced himself. They could not contain themselves on this bit because some of the girls kept screaming and we couldn't start the interview.

Of course he was asked about his personal style, and he says he likes dark clothing. He only wants what would fit him nicely and Bench definitely was a brand he'd wear anytime of the day.

He had fun answering questions about his time spent in grooming himself too. He's not ashamed to admit he spends about an hour just fixing his hair, making sure its perfect because its what the girls usually check out. No wonder he's getting them! LOL! But really no joke, because when you go to Korea, the men's room are usually full because most of the guys spend so much time doing the same. It's already a culture for them.

Okay, so I don't want to disturb you looking at your eyecandy. He's the reason you're here anyway hehe!
He finds Filipinos so warm. He's never felt so welcome and he feels so at ease here because of the proximity of Korea to our country. He says it's like I'm just having a vacation here.

Pretty soon he wants to take a moment and stop the action or drama roles he's been doing. He wants to play the role of a University student and wear the same clothes Bench has. It's relaxed and he wouldn't want to wear something that doesn't fit him; so Bench is really perfect for that he says.He says he's going to work hard so he can come back to the Philippines and explore the beaches. He also wants to go back for his fans which he's so surprised about because he didn't know he's this popular here. He knows how much love is being poured out online because he reads the tweets of Filipino fans. He wants to taste adobo (which he already did recently) and maybe when he comes back soon he'd be able to visit the nice places in the Philippines.

If he comes back next time will you be this excited again? Of course! Minoz would surely be happy if he does right?

Then after the interview he stood up and got some shots with the executives of Bench. Mr. Ben Chan wasn't at this press conference because of Zoren Legazpi's and Carmina Villaroel's surprise wedding just for your information.
Then he had to say goodbye to everyone. I am so thankful to Bench or bringing him to the Philippines. Seeing him wearing the shirts, jeans and using Bench Fix products is just surreal. Bench and their GlobalBenchSetters will surely burn the eyes of millions of people all around the world! Just you wait and see what they have on their sleeve. Wouldn't you want Lee Min Ho to come back soon? =)

Hope you love the photos! =) Please ask your friends to see them here. No grabbing please thanks!

Windows8 Touch Enabled DELL XPS12

Dell has been a recognized brand for hardware, specifically for laptop and desktop computers worldwide. This particular event I went to was the launch of something special, though not out of the ordinary they've revved up some of their former designs and got them on this new Dell XPS12.

Chris Papa the Country Manager for DELL says its another milestone to launch xp12 among their other great models soon. He says this too will come with services unprecedented in the Philippine territory because they will cover nationwide. They will also extend it to nearby Asian-Oceania countries so if you are frequent traverlers, you can take advantage of this awesome ultrabook which transforms from a laptop and into a tablet via a flick on its screen. The latest ultrabook is made slim, very powerful, and functions as a fully featured tablet. This is by the way their first touch enabled device on Windows8 platform. Though I'm not a fan of the OS they are gearing to take advantage of its full touch capabilities which other manufacturers haven't that much been really doing on their devices (well some do but that's another story).

Aside from that, the DELL XPS12 is one tough cookie. It doesn't look and feel tough but when I held it, structurally the swivel display does not look flimsy at all. As you flip the display over, you can close the lid and you can use the XPS12 as a tablet. Tried to change orientations but the Windows8 response wasn't that great. I don't quite know the gyro capabilities but it wasn't following that fast.

Alvin Go, Dell Philippines Product Manager showed how remarkable the device is. Made mostly of carbon fiber (one of the lightest in the market), its hinge is also machined aluminum so it's quite sturdy even if flipping transpires on the display. It's got a 100% SSD hard drive so data response is very fast. The 12.5 Full HD WLED and Corning gorilla glass just makes the display quite vivid for the video or photo connoisseur.

Then another big thing was announced! Support services for these models are now available for free nationwide and a couple more countries outside the Philippines. It means that no matter where you are, if you need help with your DELL equipment they can easily help you within 48 hours (that's if phone support won't be able to help you right off the bat!). This is world class On Site Service and is free for 1 year with notebooks and 3 years for high end PC's.

Ricky Banaag, Country Manager of Intel boasts of better, longer battery life and faster processors for more models of Dell products. Intel also worked with brands that have ultrabooks on their line and receives positive feedback from consumers. The area of convertibles is gonna grow; and technology among all things will have to become well adaptive to what the consumer wants. It's quite nice to see these brands launching in places like Manila now. Be sure when you check out the stores, find out if DELL XPS12 would be the perfect powerful companion that would satisfy your gadget hunger. You don't have to stop what you're doing; this will surely change the conversation wherever, whenever.

Congratulations on this launch Dell! I am impressed!

Urban Athletics - SUPRA ASIAN TOUR 2012 MANILA

Saturday, November 17, 2012

It's one of the places I've enjoyed going to because of its culture. I'm not going to pretend I have the same lifestyle as these guys do but I do appreciate the shoes and the unique personalities that endorse them. They were definitely killing it at the Urban Athletics store in Greenbelt 3. We were fortunate enough to cover the Manila leg of the Supra Asian Tour of these skating and extreme sport professionals. We also had a grand time seeing the faces of these hardcore skaters light up because they got to connect with their Filipino fans. The Pinoys obviously love them that much to, to the point of even having the emblems or monickers of their skate heroes tattooed on their abs, arms and necks. This is the SUPRA ASIAN TOUR 2012 in Manila!

Providing mood music was gorgeous DJ Summer! She was dressed for the occasion too! :)

Skaters from all around Metro Manila and nearby provinces flocked to the Urban Athletics store. They were all eagerly awaiting their personal idols/skating gods. They all had their skate boards with them mind you. Yes there was free flowing beer available but not everyone was served, there were minors in the crowd. Good job getting that taken cared of!

A few minutes later, I couldn't move around anymore because dang these guys filled up the room! I haven't seen the Urban Athletics store this much since the last event held here. They were a rowdy bunch!

Just look at the cities that are included in this tour and you'll know why we're proud hosts of this gig. Manila just looks extra pretty alongside these ones! Leveling! LOL

There were more things to celebrate for other than the Skate heroes, it's these set of shoes. I haven't seen Supra or Ellington this up close. Then I said to myself, "Dang I want one too!" *insert puppy dog eyes here*. For what its worth all of the Skate superstars who went there had this brand worn. It tells you they have good taste.

Steve Williams, Erik Ellington, Neen Williams, Keelan Dadd, Boo Johnson, Kevin Romar and Spencer Hamilton suddenly stormed the venue and the crowd just went wild!

You mix Men + Ladies + Beer + Rowdy crowd =  that just means a lethal party in Manila! Just look at their faces and you'll know they are enjoying the scene in Manila. It was epic!

It don't matter if the place was crazy! It was just the right time for these skating superstars to get in touch with their fans from the Philippines. To aspire to be them and be with them, how can you not be happy with that!

Hundreds of people lined up patiently to get a glimpse, get some of their gears signed and take photos of them. It was one awesome night of connecting and getting to know their Skate gods up close like that was but a dream for some of these guys. I can relate!

It was a blast and but a successful event for Supra, Ellington and of course Urban Athletics where you'll find all of these brands under one roof. Thank you so much to PRC Inc. and everyone behind this launch who hooked us up with this awesome event! I had so much fun and am looking forward to see the next one soon!
