Staying Stylish in Ystilo Salon Greenhills

Thursday, June 06, 2013

An afternoon of pampering was about to be done at fabulous Ystilo Salon in Greenhills. It's actually my first time here because I always frequent the one that's near my neighborhood. I heard so many good things about this brand that Vina Morales owns and it has been the talk of the town with celebrities, actors and actresses. I'm sure this brand only would only give the best. That's what I was about to find out.

Just when I was about to get into a chair, we saw Julian Estrada. He's the grandson of the former President Joseph Estrada and consequently part of the few who made it to Star Magic Circle 2013. We had a small chat and this guy was really nice. He had that overall good vibe. He wasn't too "celebrity" if there is such a thing. He's very optimistic now that he's part of ABSCBN's pool of actors and he feels honored to have been able to be in this group. He's in the salon to get some cleaning up on his very tall hair. He tries to keep it simple and very easy to go out with. Wash and wear is probably part of his vocabulary. Men can take time with their hair of course and if it would make you look a LOT better, why not right?

Senator Jinggoy Estrada must be proud of his son. He's not a spoiled brat, he's very accommodating and he knows how it is to talk to people. He's very genuine and I think he'll be really successful someday. Pretty cute, and I'm sure he'll be one guy girls would fall for... more pretty soon.

See what I mean about seeing stars in Ystilo? Well you know what? There's more!

Penshoppe Holiday 2013 for Philippine Fashion Week!

I have been so blessed last Philippine Fashion Week and what gorgeous way continue this series but by showing you the runway looks as if you are in the front row. I've been doing that for years and this time is no different. I bet you are excited as I am about one of the best brands from Golden ABC which has began stamping it's brand internationally. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Penshoppe Holiday 2013!

They opened up the show with sleeved shirts, probably cotton based. It looks light and airy. They paired that together with pants of the same material, the other had cargo pants. The one below had leather and denim jackets together with skinny jeans and a more straight cut faux denim fabric on the latter.I love the shiny look though.

Then they followed up with ladies wearing faux leather skirt, pants, denim skinny jeans, and colors on the guy's pants too.

Key Pieces: Jackets, beanies and Man Bags.

It was at this part where I was kind of recognizing the overall vibe of the collection. It was almost looking like Oxygen because there was only little hints of color then most of it are grays and black. I thought the Brand Director was Alex Mendoza because of the shows of Penshoppe in the past. They are definitely going on a different direction. It was because the new guy was showing us his none edited taste, this is the work of Jeff Bascon aka Jeff Bacons.. no wonder it's looking more adventurous!

The Nokia Lumia 720 Unboxing and Review

Hi guys! This is my first attempt at making a video review for a gadget and I think I did a pretty good job at it (hey be nice! LOL). Thanks to the great people at Nokia Headquarters, Nokia Philippines and Fuentes Manila for this unit.

Sorry about the audio in the beginning of the video, I'll probably do a better thing with that soon! :)

The Nokia Lumia 720 rocks! It's cheaper than other Windows OS phones too. If you are looking for bang for the buck quality in a handset, this is the one that you should get! Thanks and watch out for more reviews soon!

Jobstreet.com x POEA Anti-Illegal Recruitment Campaign

Wednesday, June 05, 2013

Jobstreet.com and the POEA is now hand in hand in launching an Anti-Illegal Recruitment campaign to rid the country of these unscrupulous individuals and entities that prey on soon to be overseas Filipino workers. The MOA was signed at the Blas Ople Building in Ortigas, Pasig City. It is part of the agency's continuing preventive measure in streamlining a more efficient and strict renewal for recognized agencies. They also offer free legal services to victims if in case they fall victim to these agencies. They also are shaping up measures that would be able to get them to enforce stricter penalties to violators more today.

They also are continuing to furnish trainings and overseas worker education for the benefit of the Filipino workers in order to make them well informed once they step into foreign soil. It is also being added as a requirement for all jobs. They also have some new requirements to make sure that each company that will be in their database are all legitimate. It's one way of making sure you won't be victimized by illegal recruiters which this campaign is gunning for.

POEA also just launched the Balik Manggagawa Program to schedule and secure appointments for OEC's so you don't have to line up with the crowd. It's quite similar to DFA's appointment system. It's available at POEA.GOV.PH
