Superdynamism @ Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences

Monday, June 17, 2013

It's so volatile, so unique and you can see movement in lines, shapes, and colors. I think I've been able to at least get a grasp at Superdynamism in its simplest form. I can't see why, there's mysticism on why I can pinpoint if it's violent or not just by looking at the details. This is the work of famed artist Eric Tabuena.

HERO Foundation: It's time to be HEROES for our HEROES' CHILDREN!

Sunday, June 16, 2013

I went to Trinoma a few days ago to attend the launch of the new donation boxes that the HERO Foundation was putting up in strategic locations nationwide. These new boxes actually contain something evidently touching because on the half part of it are dog tags. It symbolizes the soldiers who have donated their lives for the country. Now it's your turn to help them out!

You see, we have men and women working in the Armed Forces to keep our country safe from those who want to wreak havoc or occupy it. Some also are insurgents in the South or communists rebels too. In the battle field, there are heavily armed men and these soldiers can either get hurt or slain while serving their country. What happens is that they leave their families and relatives behind. Who's going to take care of them? Who's going to pay for their education? That's where the HERO Foundation comes in to help.

HERO Foundation has helped hundreds of kids to go to school and they continually are getting huge corporations as sponsors so these kids who had their parents killed in action or disabled still have a chance to finish their studies and help their own families too.

Take for example this gallant solider who nearly lost his life to an ambush by rebels in Mindanao. He couldn't work anymore and he has kids who are still studying. He wanted to have himself killed even so the enemies won't get information from him. God and some of his fellow soldiers helped him and after he has survived, HERO foundation helped him to get his daughter be sent to school.

Celebrities and bands like SixCycleMind and Callalily also attended the event so they could show their support for HERO Foundation. This is Kean Cipriano's birthday so it was really special for him to finally get to help a foundation such as HERO. These bands know how important education is for these kids and they didn't hesitate to help when they were asked. They even performed for the crowd and made it even more special by dedicating songs to the cause. Here's an excerpt of their performances that afternoon!

Famed Japanese Brand UNIQLO Opens Shop at SM City Fairview!

From the likes of CHINA, FRANCE, HONG KONG, INDONESIA, JAPAN, KOREA, MALAYSIA, RUSSIA, SINGAPORE, TAIWAN, THAILAND, UK and the US, UNIQLO has definitely made headway in launching new stores in the Philippines. With it's partnership with SM Retail since January 2012, they have created one of the most promising convergence of minds and retail power through Fast Retailing Philippines Inc. They have now put shop at the grand SM Fairview in the Novaliches district and this will surely delight shoppers from the North which the mall mostly caters to.

I've been a fan of their fashionable, quality clothes since their arrival and now that it's quite near my area it'll surely be doubly fun to see what I could wear. I also hear they will have more branches nationwide!

One look at the store during their VIP/Celebrity induced opening had me gasping for my breath because this just looks like a mecca of all the greatest styles, colors and sizes that I have ever seen! The choices are unbelievable so I made myself ready for one heck of a shopping day! True enough, I had my eyes on some of the neatest stuff they have on the store.

The special opening price of 590 on most items had me wondering are they actually giving this away? How can something of this quality become so affordable? I did the next best thing and grabbed a basket, then tried on a couple of things.. I found very cute shirts, and comfy jeans too!

For ONE PIECE fans out there, this will surely make you giddy because they have different characters of the MANGA in their full glory. They are also available in very whimsical colors too! I wanted to have the yellow shirt but I found some other things I'll show you... get ready!

Who in the right mind doesn't like Mickey Mouse? Or maybe Donald Duck? I grew up with these characters and there's nothing like vintage cartoons to get me in the mood. I also saw some other great shirts beside these.

If you are into Japanese street fashion, these pieces are just the thing to take off the rack. It's a wonderful representation, and now that it's here in the Philippines, I wouldn't mind have this one as well! Fighting!

I grabbed one of these comfortable Easy Care Oxford Shirts because I needed it for work. It was light and got me so excited to try on a matching jacket right beside it. What makes it totally sold on me was the materials made for each piece.
