Fans have been eagerly awaiting this film and why not, it's the hottest love team in Philippine TV and Cinema who's starring this flick. The beautiful princess Kim Chiu and the hunky Xian Lim in celebration of Star Cinema's 20th year is going to answer one tough question: Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo?
In the blog conference, they answered some very tough questions as bloggers and fans get to ask those that's about the movie, and their personal life. They gamely answered but you can feel how Xian reacts to kilig questions because he smiles first before doing it. Kim Chiu on the other hand never fails to charm us with her quirky anecdotes and experiences while doing this film. This is their first team up on film and onlookers have nothing to say but good things since it's also directed by the one and only Bb. Joyce Bernal.
Kian's role is Edgardo, Kim's bf who turned EX and starts Sandy's depression. Xian's Lim is a rich boy who owns the company and later on promises to change Sandy played by Kim Chiu. Sandy is from the city of Busobuso, prolly fictitious but it shows how much she was a little late both in the looks and personality department.
Xian just celebrated his birthday and says this was his happiest because he feels how important it was to celebrate it with the people he loves. When asked what gift Kim gave him, they both said "sobra sobra na" then laughed it off.
Kean Cipriano says everyone probably has felt and gone through the situation and they agree that it is very realistic. Writer says it's a hundred percent loyal to the book where this was based from and they didn't have to do much in creative production. Ramon Bautista also has a hand in making the film and Direk Joyce had very good execution for this romcom.
They are excited too as this is one of the few instances where Star Cinema is doing something based on a book. Kim was so glad that the scenes were so light and totally different from the heavy drama they usually do on TV.
We had so much fun hearing their answers especially when Rod Magaru asked "What is beauty?" A very beauty queenesque question, so funny!
People should truly watch this movie coming out in July 31! You'll see a different kind of Xian Lim, a different Kim Chiu and a different story that will surely surprise fans soon!
One of the nicest things ever for a photographer to see is to have his work printed. It kinda gives you a real world feel on how your images impact yourself and other people. It's how you see the quality of each shot and physically hold it rather than just see it digitally on computers. It's like honoring the quality and having people appreciate it. I haven't had may done in such a long time.
This is Canon's Pixma MX527. This is one of the most talented, multi function Inkjet printers that Canon has on their belt. It's a printer, scanner, copier and fax machine all in one. Best of all, it's wireless, so you don't really have to worry about logistics of running wires, networking cables around your house. Just plug it in, install the drivers and have it connected to your wireless network.
Have you ever had that problem about always having to turn on that computer that's got the printer attached to it so you can use it as a network printer? Well you don't need to do that on this one because it can stand alone. With it having designated IP on your network much like a print server, you can save a lot of standby power and don't have to have that PC ON all the time just to get other pc's on the network have this function. It's also got a more ergonomic interface which can easily be learned in just a few minutes.
To get the best output possible, it's also a must to have genuine Canon printer cartridges. The Canon Pixma MX527 uses #740 Black and #741 for color. Boxes come with hologram stickers so you can spot the real ones from the fake.
I tested it's scanning abilities by doing myself the best editing job yet for a photo. I plan to restore my graduation pic haha (so don't judge LOL).
It's got water damage, spots the whole thing as it got wet during a storm (coz Mom wants to show it off to relatives in our living room, it's got a window). So cleaning that up would probably be a nice thing to do with my photo editing skills.
Just press the scan button, then the green button to execute.
The scanner was solid. It was fast and I didn't have to wait too much for the output. As for details, it did deliver so I don't need to do much when editing. Maybe it would take me an hour to do this plus my other prints. I'm loving every bit of it!
I installed the cartridges... and it was easy!
Take off the seal, pull down the levers and insert the cartridges. Then after that, just pull the lever up and get the printer cover on again. It's that simple!
I installed the drivers and used LPR or IP printing. You have to connect the printer to the wireless network and after it gets the IP address, you just have to let your computer search for a network printer. It was pretty easy for me.
Press the MENU button then choose to scan and select the Access Point
If you have security employed on your network, you must input the passphrase. I have WPA2 on mine so I went in and did that.
You have to choose the source and can even get it online directly from the printer. I chose the one from my laptop computer as the source.
I edited the photo I scanned on the Multifunction Printer. It took me a few minutes. Then after that, I printed it out. It took a few seconds per photo and I figured this was what I'd expect from a Canon Pixma printer.
No more water damage! It's even better looking! =)
The Canon Pixma MX 527 has great printing speed. It's usually measured my PPM or IPM. The term stands for pages per minute and images per minute. This is an ISO standard set for all manufacturers and this one stands at 5.5 IPM.I didn't settle for just looking at the specs of course! I did the next best thing and tried to print some of my shots from Philippine Fashion Week!
Then of course after a few minutes, I had the best photos printed out!
Some of the stars that have graced my lens are here! Sarah Jessica Parker, Apl de Ap, some of the Glee cast, Lee Min Ho, Richard and Lucy, Jennelyn Mercado among others. Then after that, I got Furne One from Philippine Fashion Week also done!
It was so nice! I had both Photoshop and the Printer manage my color settings. It was really awesome to see my shots physically here!
The Fax Machine was too advanced that when I tried to send something from our other line it printed out like a copier machine on this end for the black and white text that it had. The sending on the other end was slow, but when this machine received it... I couldn't believe it took around less than 3 seconds to do it. The copying was good, I even tried different paper sizes and it didn't have a problem at all. The scanner was so smart, I didn't have to crop anymore because it seemed like it detected the photo all on it's own when I did it to my graduation photo. I'd like to thank Canon for letting me experience printing off a truly world
class device. The Canon Pixma MX527 indeed has delivered for printing, scanning, fax and copy features. I am just truly impressed! I hope this isn't the last time you would get me to try one of your machines. I just got addicted to its speed, performance and color. I have to give it to you guys, this is really your forte!

Macaroons. One of my favorite desserts in the whole world! I've been seeing some of these in the shelves of my favorite bakeshop Red Ribbon. I never knew it would mean a lot for other people. I never knew it would mean a lot for the education of young Filipino kids in places like Zamboanga, the whole of Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao... especially Metro Manila where the population explosion has greatly affected how we live life. Little did we know, these Macaroons would be part of the solution.
Mom to cute Cooper, host and radio DJ Delamar Arias knows first hand why education is important. There was a Manobo native who wished to study, ventured out to Manila and worked hard to earn a diploma. It was hard to do this in Mindanao because of the lack of opportunities. It was also unheard for to do this in that region. He succeeded, had a family and 5 kids. One of those kids is Delle. She wouldn't be where she is now without her Dad doing this in the first place. That opportunity should be available to every Filipino, but it's not. Red Ribbon, Apl.de.Ap Foundation and Franklin Baker Company made head way and got the best thing to benefit kids. They will build more schools starting in southern Philippines. It should start making their lives better.
Red Ribbon's executives find this as an important synergy of companies, individuals and organizations who wanted change. They wanted to pull up their resources and make this a project that could sufficiently do it for a long time. That's where they decided that whenever someone purchases Macaroons from their bakeshop, a portion of it goes to funding the Apl.de.Ap Foundation's projects which builds schools in some of the most remote places in the country.
The Franklin Baker Corporation supplies the luscious dessicated coconut that is found in all of Red Ribbon macaroons. Their world class products not only appear in Red Ribbon but also other companies around the world. This particular cause didn't escape their radar and they see this as an opportunity to give back to the community. She might look foreign to you guys but her Mom is actually Filipina. She takes pride in this lineage and knows she wants to get back and help the same people and country where her Mom came from. A noble gesture indeed.
We all know Apl de Ap. Aside from being one of the Black Eyed Peas, he's an inspiration to us Filipinos. He was born and raised here and had a very colorful life.
Seeing him talk so passionately about his cause and saw his hunger to help the less fortunate. It has touched me in so many ways. He wants to help. Through this cause, a part of the purchase of these Macaroons will go to Apl de Ap Foundation which will build schools and provide education in some of the most remote areas in the country. He appreciates the help of both Red Ribbon and Franklin Baker but the real job starts now. We must ask our friends, relatives and other individuals to get these special Macaroons so we can continue to build more as the years come. They are spearheading this project called Macaroons for a cause. These guys need your help. The next time you visit a Red Ribbon branch, make sure you grab one of these bags so you can do your share in alleviating poverty and give the right of education for our less fortunate kababayans. It's our time to care!

I'm sure you have probably been waiting for this for a long time now. It's a lot so I couldn't really put it all into one post. I think I found the solution by putting it into a slide show. Hope you love these photos as Ive been painstakingly editing them these past few days. This experience wouldn't be possible without our good friends from Bench, the global lifestyle brand. I'm so happy they have been able to get us first dibs into the best shows, events and launches just as long as it involves your favorite Benchsetters. Thank you also to all the Minoz who has been sternly supporting our live tweet coverages these past few days. Thank you also for sharing your photos with me so a lot of other Minoz could get to catch what you've experienced during the show.
It started with cute songs and some small dance numbers. He also shared in the small interview his favorite Line character. He also paid attention to those who are in the patron seats on second and third rows... which he always waved at during the concert. He told us his favorite Filipino dishes and I've been eating them since yesterday LOL. He also gave fans lots of prizes! Best of all, he gave them hugs too! He promised that he'll come back probably to take a vacation and tour around the city. He hopes to see you guys real soon.
For what it's worth, I was so tired but this is Lee Min Ho. I'm sure if you guys were in my position you would do the same. I hope for those who weren't able to go to his concert, this sort of give you a glimpse of what transpired during the show. For those who were in the concert, isn't it just amazing to reminisce? To think about how he made us all happy while he stayed in Manila these past few days.
Thank you Bench for hooking us up and getting some of my followers tickets to the show.
