I've been to the south a few days ago to see what's happening over there and was happy to see Mercato Centrale finally opened it's doors in the Alabang area. There was pounding music and proud waving flags in Avida's South Park District. This hosts artisans and new business owners on a market laid on a 6.6 hectare land which was previously the home of Nestle Philippines.
The space had so much mouth watering food that you would forget your name every time you pass by each vendor. Your favorite grilled beef kebab (shown above) looks so good (which is in its gigantic form) so you would really love how it looked like right off the grill. Then you go ahead and smother it with their special sauce... by this time you would really have lost your mind.
Your protein diet won't end there because they also have Chicken Kebab. The lighter more soft meat just adds to the multitude of grilled wonders served in Mercato Centrale. If you fancy a more adventurous eat, then why not get some of your favorite ISAW! Oooh this is so good!
Perfectly cooked, parts are hot and crispy then you dip it into slightly chili-fied vinegar oh you wouldn't stop with one stick. Don't let anyone tell you to stop! :D
Roasted beef slices tucked in a soft pillowy pita bread with slices of onions, tomatoes and more roasted veggies plus garlic + yogurt sauce puts you in the perfect picnic mood right in the heart of Alabang.
Bringing in Mercato Centrale to Avida's South Park District was a no brainer because this was something that they have envisioned to be their thrust as soon as everything has been put up. They are planning to have 8 towers in total to this 6.6 hectare property. The property will have it's own Ayala mall which also means it will get all the brands existing ones carry (like Trinoma, Greenbelt etc). They will also be calling it Southpark mall. The towers will eventually have their own different name but it will have the typical avida tower size which is around 22-36 floors. They will also be putting up a park in the middle and they want to make it grand since this is the first township project of Avida.
Entertainment for residents and shoppers will be provided by the mall on a regular basis. They plan to put up the park by next year so people can enjoy that while waiting for the towers to be built. There will be BPO companies and hotels also in the plans so there are opportunities to work within the area. Two big companies already purchased floors. They have invested around 5 billion just for the mall so you get how GRAND this is going to be, and trust Avida because this is just the beginning.
Ms. Joyce De Guzman, Avida South Park's Marketing Manager and Ms. Rowena Cruz the Project Development Manager showed us around the property and promises your own eden within the city.
No worries too on traffic and flooding because they are working with the LGU for road capacity and traffic. They are also putting up a huge retention tank and putting the actual properties a meter up so your cars won't get wet even on its tires. This is an 8,000 square meter park that we are talking about here so it's pretty huge. All these residential units are on medium price range and they are excited to offer this to even locals. They already have people from Cavite, Quezon and nearby provinces inquiring and acquiring units so make sure you do that too before it's too late. They are hoping to have acts like the Supremo by Ballet Philippines or similar ones plus other music acts lined up as this gorgeous location so if there's a perfect time to get your units down south, this is it!
Southpark promises more but you better check it out yourself and see what promise this property has to make your dreams come true in the South of Manila.
