UNTV Cup Season 2

Wednesday, February 05, 2014

Back from the very successful games last year, UNTV now presents UNTV Cup Season 2 and this time it's even BIGGER than ever because there will be 10 teams joining this charity. They are the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP Cavaliers), Congress (Congress Legislators), Department of Justice (DOJ Hunters), Local Government Unit (LGU), MalacaƱang Palace, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA Equalizers), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth Advocates), Philippine Judiciary, Philippine National Police (PNP Responders) and Senate. Malacanang and Philippine Senate teams are new additions whilst LGU separated from congress building the official list.

Commissioners say that this would be a great venue to get together and help their chosen charities. Aside from that, change the public perception about these offices and get them informed about their individual projects so people can tell that they are doing something. Ka Daniel Razon admits that most of of them are victims of bias media reporting. He says "Sometimes the news isn't what we want to hear, we would like to request that each department should have a reportage team and UNTV will give proper space in newscast without any edits. Content will be all yours. Bring forth what you want the people to hear. It will be a good vehicle for your agencies to reach the proper audience."

He also welcomed new teams like the Senate, Malacanang and LGU's (which separated from Congress) and was happy that it completes the 10 team lineup they were gunning for. They are planning to have three point shootouts plus an all star game later on and they have noted to get some players that have not been able to qualify in the games too.

Charities are going to be chosen by the respective teams and UNTV will not suggest so as to not have influence over it. They are monitoring these agencies silently and have ensured the money is going to them. They are also considering to put up Volleyball matches for women soon but that is still in the works. They would like to ask the agencies how UNTV can help, that alone is satisfying.  All games will be also played in historic Smart Araneta Coliseum and broadcasted live every Sunday at 2:30PM in UNTV. It will also be streamed online at http://www.untvweb.com.

Colored Right and Pampered at Belleza Y Estilo Salon

It's been a while since I visited my hair stylist extraordinaire Cher Nogara. She's with a new salon now called Belleza Y Estilo Salon in Holy Spirit Drive Don Antonio Heights in Quezon City. I've been wanting to have a platinum blonde shade on my hair and it's a process of bleaching that you have to go through before that.

Yes, I went blonde a few weeks and had to retouch a bit before this visit. Had to have a few days of people staring at me, but as they say in France - you've got to go a mile before you get to your destination. It was fine because I'm used to it.

The bleaching process too is a little painful because it naturally is hard to get black off our natural hair. It's not for everybody, you had to have high pain tolerance- I must say that if you want to try this out. But if you're not that adventurous and would just like normal color and highlights for your hair, it's damn easy for these people who has done hair of celebrities. That's a good conversation starter, you should ask them who frequents their salon and you'll be surprised! Even WLS FM DJ's go there on a whim!

Plus the place is clean as a whisk. They're on soft opening now, but you won't have to worry about their services since they are pros. They are really a nice bunch of ladies in the salon and you won't be intimidated at all. Coffee's on them too. Oh before I forget, they use organic treatments from international brand Davines. You should check that out to know a little something about this brand, then experience it in the salon.

The moment I went back to see Cher, she already knew what I had in mind and started the last phase of doing my hair. So after a few hours, a rinse and blow drying...

Then here it is, wish granted! The perfect hair Platinum Blonde color that I was trying to achieve. I don't like boring hair as you can see. I don't even like anything like those you usually see magazines worn by stars. I like my "do" now and I'm wearing it gladly on events. :)

Aside from that, the new Belleza Y Estilo Salon has nail spa services so I wen't ahead and tried getting a pedicure plus foot scrub to take care of my tired feet (I've been walking miles in Ilocos and just got home). What's great is that I even got a foot massage along with that. The lady who also rinsed my hair after the color treatments even gave me a scalp massage. I almost slept on the chair hahaha!

With what it's worth, get your face painted, get your hair did, your hands and feet pampered with some of the best ladies in the industry. Please visit them on the Second Floor, above Dog City at Holy Spirit Drive, Don Antonio Heights 2 in Quezon City. If you are coming from Quezon City Circle went right on Commonwealth Avenue, take the U-turn slot after Ever Gotesco and turn right on Holy Spirit Drive. If you see their sign or Dog City, that's it. You can't miss it on the right side.

I surely had my hair color fix, my nails done and boy I'm glad I did. You should do yourself a favor and get yours done now. You work for money, now is the time to spend it and take care of yourself okay? :)

Living in the Philippines: Find it on Property24.com.ph

Monday, February 03, 2014

Selling your pre loved items has never been easy. Dominant buy and sell website in the Philippines SULIT.COM.PH has unfolded another feather to its hat as they conquer the real estate sector. It has been one of the highest in terms of traffic in sulit.com.ph and the time of partnering with one of the world's best PROPERTY24.COM.PH is but great timing. The companies are all part of the multinational Naspers Group. The company doesn't just engage in selling property but also holds all the logistics behind that as well says JP Farinha CEO of Property24 who came all the way from South Africa.

Property24.com.ph says quality scores will be given to brokers and properties, some automatically penalizing and ranking them on the site. The local site will also be customized according to general brokers needs. Although they admit that they will need data and algorithm that will make the site and its features better, they are going to work on it. Sulit.com.ph will not abandon its current posts, it will still have that together with property24's Business to consumer features while they cater to private listings verified through their current systems.

Steve Santos Property24.com.ph's Property Manager in the Philippines says "We see sectors growing further and the housing and real estate loans are on an uptrend. We want to concentrate on local residential properties and listings. We have sections on the site intended only for developers , design and lifestyle so we get more input from real people who rent or buy on the website. We also have mobile apps that is easy to use and connected with the sulit.com.ph."

Definitely something to look forward to and it can help pinoys get that dream place in a single click! We tried out the app and the site. It was easy to find rented properties and real estate finds in Quezon City. It was also easy to find some in other places. I guess this will be the best thing to have if we're going look for properties we can afford or dream of. Just click it!
