Coca-Cola Music x Spotify

Wednesday, April 02, 2014

Coca-Cola has been surprising me every day. Aside from the common place it sits on every meal we have at home, the numerous concerts and holidays I've celebrated with them and the countless bottles and cans they shipped at home, here they go again and got me something cool with all the Coke madness that runs through my house this afternoon. They gave me MUSIC.

I guess this is still part of their celebration. They are now 125 years in existence and the pack that they gave me got this commemorative bottle that started it all.

They did not just leave me hanging of course. After this awesome memorabilia, they went ahead and gave me something that I'll be listening to in MY BREAKTIME. Have you guys heard of Spotify?

Spotify is one of the biggest music platforms in the world. It's the leading online music streaming service to ever land in the face of the Earth. Unfortunately, this is NOT AVAILABLE in the Philippines yet but Coca-Cola hooked us up and partnered with SPOTIFY to give us the chance to get exclusive access to over 25 MILLION songs worldwide!

Since I'm feeling generous today and Coca-Cola said we can hook you up too, we're giving this FREE SPOTIFY Accounts to you too! It's easy!

1.) Just go to your email client (Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo etc.) and put in Coca-Cola Spotify on the subject.

2.)  Send it to Social_CokePH@coca-cola.com.

3.) You'll receive an auto reply email that contains a specific and UNIQUE CODE plus a link to the secret SPOTIFY registration page so you can download it off the net.

Just install it according to instructions and launch the software on your PC. I allowed it on my firewall when it asked me to. If you've got it installed just launch the program and you're good to go!

Spotify also gets you to create your own community by either connecting with other Spotify accounts or Facebook if you are into it. Aside from that, the software also shows what songs or artists are trending around you. If your friends/neighbors are into loca band Eraserheads, Chicosci or Rivermaya they've got that too! If you're more into foreign ones, you'll have millions of songs to enjoy too using Spotify. I'm a child of the 80's, 90's and house music so you pretty much know where I spent my time favoring each track when I found them all! Aside from that, you can create playlists so you don't have to go back to each individual album when you want music right there and now. You can even get your friends playlists too if you've got the same taste in music.

Out of all the features I've loved in Spotify, I was so surprised when I connected my iPod which I originally just wanted to charge. The thing detected it immediately and asked if I wanted to SYNC music on it too! Geeze, now I don't have to open a separate iTunes software to get the lovely local content I have into my gadgets. The application also classifies tracks by genres, artists, albums etc. so you don't have to have others hogging your resources. I did this on my netbook and it was still working together with my browsers and downloads in the background. Isn't that amazing?

Now that you've got Spotify on your PC, you can stream all the lovely content that Spotify can only bring into Filipino homes. You just have to get it installed on your PC, then your other gadgets when it becomes available soon!

Thank you so much Coca-Cola for not only giving me a great break time but a really a better one because of Coca-Cola and Spotify Music! You guys ROCK!

Hair Emergency Solved at Belleza Y Estilo Salon

I am not my usual self again and quite grumpy. I was not in the mood to go out and have fun with my friends because they were already making fun of my hair. As you can see I have this weird black line since my hair is growing out of the blonde color it originally had.

So I called upon hair stylist to the stars Cher Nogara and asked to have my hair done that afternoon then rushed to their salon over at the 2nd Floor of the E.K. Building (No. 50 Don Antonio Heights 2, Brgy Holy Spirit Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City 1105) and said I had a hair emergency. Aside from the fact that my hair already grew like that, I felt I was turning into a gorilla. Funny I know, but do you get that feeling of ugliness and stress sometimes and you want to do something with it? That was exactly how I felt yesterday.

They understood my weirdness and got on with the work involved with my hair. They assured me not to panic hehe. I sat down on the comfy chair and got on with the coloring.

After a short rinse of my hair, we got on and bleached my hair again (I did have it bleached the first time a few weeks ago). The bleaching process is a little complicated. It's not for everybody because it is kind of a little painful. You just had to have guts and higher pain tolerance than the usual for you to be able to go through it. That, plus a LOT of air conditioning which the salon comfortably has. :)

I rinsed again and completed the bleach process. Now, I've got that very light hair shade I needed to start with the color process. The salon uses Davines products which are also organic. It's an international brand from Italy that promotes sustainable beauty. It's high end and got zero impact on nature. Isn't that amazing?

After a short rest, they put in the Silver color on my hair and waited again for it to take effect. This process is time consuming as you may understand since it requires bleaching which you saw earlier. The color was REALLY awesome and got my hair back into a great state in no time!

Belleza Y Estilo Salon also has other services. After the color, they went the extra mile and gave me more pampering via a Keratin Treatment. They massaged my scalp during that session too and it was very soothing. That relaxed me a lot and it was the perfect way to get my scalp back to normal after a little stress on the bleaching process I did earlier. I was surprised because my hair immediately become a little straighter than usual. It also went shiny on me, as in SHINEEEE! Then after that, they got wax and styled it again.

And now we're back to GREAT HAIR! :) Thank you Cher Nogara! You really know what to do on hair emergencies! ;)

I'd like to thank the great people of Belleza Y Estilo Salon. Just look at one of the owners right on the front counter, gorgeous vixen Ms. Heart de Guzman. Guys, take it easy LOL

Had to disturb her while she was doing a rebond procedure with a client. She's the very talented Ms. Beng Manuel. She just gave birth a few days ago and she's already here working. Congratulations on the new baby! :)

Thank you Cher Nogara for taking care of me and my crowning glory. Thank you also for saving me with my hair disaster. Now I've got my hair back to AWESOMENESS and it's all because of you guys at Belleza Y Estilo Salon. Let's do another great haircut soon shall we? I'm looking forward to that!

If you prefer to have an appointment with them and get your hair did... call or text them at 09225554419. Or you can just come over to their salon located at the 2nd Floor E.K. Building No. 50 Don Antonio Heights 2, Barangay Holy Spirit Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City 1105. I know I'll be back soon! :)

I'm Enjoying My Tough Backpack From OUTDOOR PRODUCTS!

Just got this pack from Urbanize: Supplies for Urban Life with stores located at Gateway Mall and Shangrila Mall. I was surprised to find out what was inside but the note on the pack probably summed it up.

Got so excited seeing it was about bags. Aside from shoes, this is my next kryptonite. I still have some bags in my closet that I haven't used because I didn't want them to get damaged. This one already says that they're going to be TOUGH. So I did the next best thing and took it out of the paper bag.

OMG it's OUTDOOR Products! How can you not love this backpack?! The material is so tough nobody could probably tear this apart with their bare hands. Aside from that, this thing still work with the classic school backpack design. It won't be too bulky, but it's got room enough to fit your stuff like clothes, books or gadgets. I was actually also fond of seeing those straps on the zippers because it'll make opening or closing your bag really easy. You can also see that the color is bright and the textile they used on this isn't cheap. I can tell just by touching it.

It's also well made because on a quality standpoint I'm not seeing any defects on the nooks and crannies of this bag. It's all so clean and probably passed international standards. I'm not surprised though because in the few years that I've known this brand, they're on a league of their own. That, and the price is so reasonable unlike some brands on the same quality level but costs an arm and a leg literally. I'm loving this Vintage Day Pack!

I've also checked out their 2014 Spring-Summer catalogue and amazingly found more backpacks in really cool designs plus some in ultra suede bottoms. You'll get that weathered effect and dirt won't stick to the bag for all the right reasons. It won't be dirty fast.

It seems that I've got this bag on the bag! It's a Basic Daypack model and they've got it in different colors. If you want something basic that's also got so much room for your stuff, then I highly suggest you get this one!

For those that often go to the gym, this one is perfect. It's their Boston Bag that's available in different dimensions. Get the biggest one so you can fit your workout clothes, shoes and toiletry so you can shower after a game or gym time.

There are also some bigger bags available in stores. Don't worry ladies because you also have some handbags that are well crafted and styled with you the user in mind.

OUTDOOR PRODUCTS are available at Duty Free Fiesta Mall, Fashion Rack (Baguio, NAIA 3, Subic), Landmark Makati and Trinoma, Lonely Planet, Robinsons Department Store (Abreeza Mall, Calasiao, Ermita, Galleria, Magnolia, Palawan, Pampanga), Rustans (Alabang, Gateway, Makati, Tower), SM (Davao, Las Pinas, Lipa, Makati, North Edsa and Pampanga) and Tripologie (Alabang, Bonifacio High Street, Tripologie East Wood).

Now that there's more places where you can get these wonderful bags from, make sure your next purchase of a school or everyday bag comes from OUTDOOR PRODUCTS. I'm enjoying mine right now and I'll take it around for a spin in events. This will house my camera and gadgets. Hope yours become an everyday thing too. ^_^
