Miguel Tanfelix's Touching Birthday with Special Kids

Friday, September 19, 2014

Yesterday, we went all the way to Dasmariñas Cavite to visit a publicly funded Dr. Jose P. Rizal Elementary School. It's right off the beaten path of Cavite which is very near Technological University of the Philippines in Dasmariñas. The school offers the regular Elementary curriculum and Special Education courses designed for kids that are differently abled or with special needs. We're here to celebrate the birthday of one of GMA's prized possessions and star of Niño, actor Miguel Tanfelix. His show battled with a real tough one over at the other channel but his show really held up mainly because the story was new and who wouldn't love an adorably guy playing it right? He chose to celebrate it with special people because just like his show, the cause somehow is really close with him. Other than that, it's worth the trip to his hometown because he lives quite near the school. It's his birthday but he wants to be the one to give gifts to the kids. Isn't that sweet?

The kids, their teachers, some with their parents and family patiently waited for the program to start. This is one of the few public schools that have special education facilities. It's not often that it happens and they're more lucky because even if it's not in Metro Manila, they have this.

The kids had so much fun going up on stage and playing some games with Miguel Tanfelix. His best friend who is also part of the show Renz Valerio came along to show his support. We talked to him after the show and he told us how important it is for him to be here. He's not just a friend while on cam but he makes it a point to be there for Miguel more if he's doing things like these off cam. He knows how kind hearted his friend is and he wants to be there in important occasions.

Find, Tweet Your Perfect Home from Property24 Philippines and Win!

The property sector in the Philippines is really getting busy. The boom everyone is anxiously waiting for is actually happening now, whilst some don't even know it. The economy is improving and people are actually earning relatively more than the previous years. Investing in this area has always been a really good thing to do, a bit of frustration comes when the issue of trust and confidence comes into play. We're talking about a great amount of money, if that wouldn't be something to be careful about then I don't know what else would. In the Philippines, there's one place everyone trusts when it comes to getting property online.

Have you heard of www.Property24.com.ph? I've written about them a couple of months back here. Backed by one of the most trusted online selling portals in the world OLX.PH, Property24 has been able to establish itself as the go to resource for finding House and Lots, Condominiums, Apartments, Farms, Commercial and Industrial properties, Developments and Foreclosed properties in the Philippines. It also covers some developed African countries, listed some major cities in the Philippines and they even ask you if you want to see them all too.

The site can also accommodate and refine your search if you have a specific budget to work with just by indicating the minimum and maximum price. They can also indicate how many rooms, bathrooms they plan to have and the type of property they are looking for. As for the quality of listings, Property24 makes sure you won't be wasting time seeing unverified ones as everything goes through a strict screening process and applies the same strategies in other countries since they've been doing this for years now. They also employ point systems so you get to see reputable ones from those who are not. For brokers, agencies or  developers, this would be a dream too because you don't have to go out that much in the sun or rain in selling or renting properties anymore. Just imagine, 16 Million views a month would expose your listings and your brands with your target market. They'd also be cross posting this to OLX.PH, be seen in proprietary apps in iOS and Android. It will definitely spell your success. This would also be perfect for those planning to transfer to non flooding areas which we've seen these past few days.

To make your Property24 experience even better, the number 1 property website is launching a Twitter promo. You can get the chance to win an overnight stay in a 5-star hotel, isn't that neat? All you need to do is Follow the official Property24 Philippines Twitter account @Property24PH, find your perfect home in www.Property24.com.ph and tweet "I found #MyPerfectHome here: (URL of the listing)" and tag @Property24PH on Twitter. Your privacy settings must be set to public so they could see it. You can also tweet 10 times a day. This means that the more entries you make, the more chances of winning. They will also be giving away 5 consolation prizes aside from that 5-star hotel stay mentioned earlier. Just read the fine print below and you're good to go.

Finding your dream home shouldn't be complicated. It's easy when you use the website, iOS or Android app by Property24. I've used this a ton of times when friends ask me to find them a place near my neighborhood. If you're in the hunt for one, maybe this is the opportune time to do it. Investment wise, it's always a smart choice. It only takes a few minutes to see why Property24 is the number one resource to find your dream home, take a tour and don't just take my word for it.

Jake Cuenca Readies For Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute New York

Jake Cuenca
In a small gathering last Friday at the ELJ Building in ABSCBN, Jake Cuenca told us good news about his plans to study in New York at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute. He seems so grateful about everything that is happening with his career and it's going to be a gamble for him to be out of the limelight this long because as you know people tend to forget you when you're not on TV.

He wants to evolve, he loves his craft and his wish to have it mastered is his ultimate dream. Being accepted there is hard but he prioritized it and now it has beared fruit. He will continue to protray heavy roles and pick more quality ones than quantity. He is also renewing his contract with ABSCBN for two more years so you're going to surely see more of him when he comes back. If the antagonist role is pitched to him and he sees it would be good for his career he's not gonna think twice. He's also leaving with a "Maalaala mo kaya" episode opposite Jessy Mendiola on September 20. Also, he's still going to appear in the upcoming Bench Jeans and Underwear Fashion show entitled "The Naked Truth" this September 19.

He got so inspired after doing the Ivanna Chubbuck workshop with Star Magic a couple of months ago. He'll try to do theater and still want to do TV series and movies when he goes back to the Philippines. He's not thinking of getting a project there because he wants to learn, but if the opportunity presents itself he'll see what it can do for him in the whole picture. He feels blessed to also have done "Ikaw Lamang" even if a LOT of people already hated him for doing the role of Franco. He loves doing it and thanks Kim Chiu because almost all his scenes were with her. For the record, he never slapped her real. All of the scenes they had were cheated in that part because he had to take care of Kim like what she did for him. He will see to it that in his next shows, he would have to apply everything that he's learned and even go the extra mile to experiment by asking Directors nicely.

He wants to do a project with Joel Lamangan if they'll be doing a play when he gets back. He's thinking to have this year's The Naked Truth to be his last fashion show and let the young ones do their thing, but of course he'll be finishing this with a bang and will make sure everyone remembers it so they'll have to watch out for that.

Louise Delos Reyes Spends Birthday with SPED Children

Thursday, September 18, 2014

One of GMA's most sought after actresses and lead star of the highly successful "Kambal Sirena" (Twin Mermaids) Louise Delos Reyes just celebrated her birthday at the Special Education Center of Bagong Pagasa Elementary School (New Hope) in Road 10, Quezon City a few days ago. It's where kids of special needs, deaf and mute undergo education modules so they can later on be productive members of society. I must say, they've made the center quite conducive for learning, you would mistake it for a small resort judging from the things you see in the facility. Their goal is to take care of them and hope to pretty soon have a similar one in other public schools nationwide. I see the reason why Louise chose this to be her charity, because the cause is very close to her heart.

She was surprised to see them suited up and was ready to perform that morning. They're very talented and I must say they've really learned a lot from this institution judging from their behavior. They might be in different age groups but everyone looks so ecstatic and excited to greet us when we arrived at their library.

Host Tess Bomb was happy to see how receptive the kids were. She also told them that instead of Louise getting gifts on her birthday, she will be the one to give them gifts instead. She also gave the kids food and drinks, played games with them too.

The kids performed 2 song numbers and a happy birthday song for Louise. She thanked them a lot and couldn't help buy cry while doing that. Seeing the kids sing was priceless. She immediately said that this wouldn't be the last time that she's doing this. I'm sure she was so happy to see them do that for her.

Louise would like to thank GMA Artist Center, BS Mobile, SASA Active Wear, Active White, Sundance, Monreo Biscuits for their help and the things that they gave the students that afternoon. They'll surely make use of them in school, especially the pens and papers which the kids used right away.

The Principal of the school thanked GMA Artist Center, the sponsors and Louise for having this done on their SPED school. They also wished to have the same facility possibly in all public schools soon.Thank you to GMA Artist Center for letting us tag along in this occasion. Happy birthday Louise! :)
