Powerbanks by Airborne Technologies

Thursday, November 20, 2014

We visited the newest shop and showroom of Airborne Technologies placed right beside the MyVape store at L23 & 24 of Greenhills Theater Mall in San Juan. They are sister companies - and since the place is also littered with gadget shops, they got Airborne Tech products inside the store. I must say, I'm one of the few guys who get irritated when my smartphone or laptop runs out of juice - and a place to get power banks that can cater to all my gadgets in one place would be something I'd really appreciate. Their company is already distributing power banks internationally, but what I'm proud to also note is that they are fully owned by Filipinos; and their operations are based in the Philippines. They've been doing this since January 2014 and is part of Jason Borne Technologies Inc., which manufactures power banks, induction speakers, memory and storage devices.

Airborne Technologies prides itself with quality, their own research and development team, plus strict quality control. In the event, we were schooled about what power banks we have now in the market. They showed us how China made power bank units mostly are comprised of recycled and reconstituted laptop computer batteries - it's one of the reasons why there are a ton of computer waste from China too - they salvage it and sell it as new power banks elsewhere and in the Philippines. Scary? Yes, that's why Airborne Technologies only use legitimate Samsung parts to make their power banks. That's why you'll feel and experience what a power bank should be like when you purchase a unit.

This is their Arsenal Powerbank. It works with Laptop computers and your other gadgets because it's got 24,000 mAh capacity. It's also made of Lithium Polymer so it's lightweight. They are also throwing in a 1 Year warranty, an 8GB cute Airborne Tech Cartoon USB too!

When I say it's cute, it is cute! Just look at Spiderman, a Zombie from Plants and Zombies and a lot more! They've got these in different designs and mind you the 8 GB storage is so useful for your files, movies and photos. Remember, you get this free if you get that Arsenal Powerbank, they also sell this separately.

Hype Powerbank

Another impressive line is this Hype Powerbank. A whopping 16,800 mAh capacity, made of Samsung Cell Lithium Ion Rechargable cells, it's available in Lime, White, Pink, Black, Sky Blue and Purple. It's more impressive because it only costs Php 3,231.00 in the AT store. One more reason to come and visit right?

For those who just need small ones, they've got the Minibank Powerbank at 2,600 mAh capacity. It's made of Lithium Polymer and has got a 1 Year warranty. You'll feel it last longer than usual powerbanks with the same capacity because of the cells they use for these units. It's also easy to carry because of it's small form factor. Put in in your pocket, or bag, it'll be the best thing to have when you run out of batteries for your phones. At least it'll last you until you get home.

Stone Powerbank
At 11,200 mAh this one called Stone Powerbank is something that can last you the whole day. It also uses Samsung Lithium Ion Cells and has got a pretty tough exterior. For those who doesn't want their power bank units to slip or slide off their hands, this is the perfect choice. This and one year warranty, isn't that a great deal?

The one on the left is the Booster Powerbank. It's got 14,000 mAh, same Samsung Lithium Ion Cells and available in Red, Silver, Gold and Gun Metal colors. The red and silver one in the middle is the Revive Powerbank. It's got 10,000 mAh and a Lithium Polymer body. The one on the right is the Cube Powerbank. It's got 8,400 mAh and the Samsung cells too. It's got a display in front telling you the percentage of the batter which was quite neat. It doesn't eat up power because they use LED's for that. Pretty cool because all these are covered with a 1 year warranty.

Speaking of cool, this is their Tough Rock Powerbank. It's their shockproof, waterproof powerbank and they proved worthy to be the official powerbank used by the Philippine Wakeboard Team as they battle other countries in Thailand! Now that's world class! It is 10,000 mAh with Samsung Lithium Ion Cells and has got a 1 year warranty. Then there's more!

They also have smart USB adapters. It's available in single and dual ports so if you've got more than one to use, this is the best thing to have than those expensive ones in stores. All their powerbanks by the way are also smart because they automatically stop charging once it gets to 100%. That would make you love it even more because you won't get your house burned down and least chance of overcharging your gadgets right?

This one was my favorite! This is the BOOM BOX Speaker by Airborne Technologies. You just place your phone on top of the thing and it freaking catches the music on it! No wires! No Bluetooth connection or what not. It was like magic! The unit can also be hardwired to your phone or music devices and play it directly with better sound. I loved it when they used an iPhone 5C and played it on top of the speaker, the track comes out when you put it on top and stops when you lift it off! Amazing!

You can get a glimpse of these devices and accessories when you visit any Airborne Technologies shops nationwide. Aside from the good powerbank devices, you've got adapters, speakers and more without compromising on quality. I'm using the powebank now and I must say, compared to the branded ones I have in my bag, it works like a charm. If you would like to ask about the prices, call them at 09178843973 or their channels below.

Martin Del Rosario's Birthday at RSCC

One of GMA's most gorgeous hunks just celebrated his birthday at the Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC) in Quezon City. Martin Del Rosario, who has never done this before says he's looking forward to spend time with them and share his blessings courtesy of Monreo Biscuits, Magnolia, Oishi, Active White, Thai Tea, Mogu Mogu, Zagu and Kambal Pandesal. GMA Artist Center arranges these things for their artists and Martin said he hasn't been able to experience this in his former station.

Martin was so happy to see the kids and he played games with the little ones, he gave them prizes too.

They also gave away essentials so the center would be able to take care of the kids even better.

We sat down with Martin after the event and asked him about his trip to South Korea a few days ago. He went there with some of the people behind the Indie film he starred in called "Sagwan (Paddle)" which was made last year. It was sent as an entry in ASEANA International Short Film Festival in Korea and they got the nomination. He went there with the Production Designer, Cinematographer and Director. He also roamed around the streets because he had so much time alone and he used that to get to know the country. This is different from the "Sagwan" movies shown in commercial release and this is new. It's about a boy who used to work pushing carts in train railways and got a life changing experience when he saw a paddling team in Manila bay. They followed his life there in the movie. This is directed by Heather Europa. There's still no commercial release here. He also heard plans from GMA but he's not counting them yet because it'll happen next year. He's also doing another indie next year. He's very happy with GMA and the culture is different. He says he also wants to work with Kris Bernal and Gwen Zamora if given the chance.

He says "It's a different feeling when you get to be with kids, I loved what happened here and I am looking forward to more of these things with GMA Artist Center. I am also celebrating my birthday in Macau next week with a couple of friends so I can unwind. It's mixed emotions here because I know how and where these kids came from, I am so happy because they make me feel happy. Most of them have no families, and I understand how happy they were earlier.

I also asked him about the Bench The Naked Truth show and he adds "I was shocked because people were talking about it and calling my poses so many names. The fashion show needs you to be remarkable, you have one minute to impress and I tried my best not to be exploited or dirty looking around there. If asked to do sexy roles, I think they are planning to do drama and comedy with me but I can do it... it just depends on the story, treatment and the execution of the director. I worked in Daguitab with very Taboo topics and I'm proud of that because those are the ones I want to watch. I hope people get to see it on a commercial release, soon. The film is nice and I hope it does come out soon. I'll be doing some projects soon that are on the similar story line.

He's now 22 and GMA has a lot of plans for him. It'll be mostly done next year when GMA comes out with new shows. Mark knows he's it's going to be a challenging run when that time comes. He's a great actor and if that continues to show in his projects here, he's bound to be one of the few who can take on lead roles in GMA's prime time slot. Serious and sexy roles would be fit too, is the audience ready for him when he goes this path? Time will tell, but by the looks of it... he sure does!

Tuesday, November 18, 2014

One of the most trusted brands worldwide based in the UK Toni & Guy just recently held their Autumn/Winter Trunk Show at Todd English Food Hall in Manila. Guests got a glimpse of the latest in hair styles and fashion trends straight from the runways of London Fashion Week.

They did everything as far as hair goes because Toni and Guy Essensuals top stylists were there to create faux hawks, waves, pony tails, locks, up do's and waterfall braids as part of what they have for this season. It's part of Toni and Guy's Hair meet Wardrobe Philisophy where dresses and statement hair falls in equal footing.

What I loved the most is the actual hair product line specifically made for men that was shown in the venue. I super duper love the clear pomade they have which gave me absolute control of my hair style from morning till nightime. Present in the event were models Tet Escano, businesswoman Kathy Villanueva, yogi Patty Poniente, Sonja Ocampo of famous Cupcakes by Sonja and Clarisse Chiongbian.

Bea Binene Celebrates Birthday at "Haven for the Elderly"

Monday, November 17, 2014

We went all the way to Barangay Sampaloc in Tanay Rizal to celebrate Bea Binene's birthday with folks from "Haven for the Elderly" which consequently is also the set of her show Strawberry Lane. Bea has just turned 17 and she wants to make it real special by sharing her blessings with the Lolos and Lolas from the shelter managed by DSWD.

Bea Binene

Also present during the occasion were fans of Bea particularly the JaBea Irises. They wanted to support her in all her endeavors including the causes she believes in. Bea loves her grandparents much like the rest of us; but for those who don't have homes, it is a different situation. It's a good thing that there are government agencies that provide shelter and care for these individuals, otherwise they'll be roaming the streets without anyone providing hygiene and a place to sleep. GMA Artist Center arranged this gathering so Bea and her sponsors can give back, even just a little.

Bea wishes for them to have good health, and more birthdays for them too. Since Strawberry Lane has rated very well, she wants to give back to the community where they shot the show. Bea doesn't want to wish for anything anymore because she's already so blessed and an opportunity to say thanks was enough for her. She sang a few songs for them later on.

She also gave away prizes through small games they prepared for the elderly. She gave thanks to Unisilver Time, Posh Nails, Tony & Jackey, Monreo Biscuits, Active White, Magnolia and Kambal Pandesal. The Lolos and Lolas were extremely happy to have received precious gifts from them.

The Haven for Elderly folks then whipped out their guitars, their drums and started playing Christmas songs. It was a very touching way to say thanks for everyone that made the event possible. It was like a mini party for them. Bea's Mom was also seen crying on the sides because she felt so happy about their gesture, she was super happy.

She had to blow a couple of cakes too from her sponsors on this bit.

To end the occasion, they also serenaded Bea Binene before heading to the tables for lunch. They were that sweet!

Thank you GMA Artist Center for letting us tag along on Bea's birthday. Here's to more meaningful journeys for her this 2015! Oh and by the way, they changed the time slot of Strawberry Lane and pushing them right after Elmo and Janine's show. Watch out for that switch!
