Mikoy Morales - GMA Artists Visit City of Malabon University (Part 2)

Then came Singer, Song Writer, Actor and Lover Boy Mikoy Morales. He immediately picked up the guitar and started serenading the girls on stage which effectively made them go gaga on the good looking lad. Mikoy stars on hit show "More Than Words" together with Elmo Magalona, Janine Gutierrez and a bunch of other actors. Ratings tell they've donned a very successful series and he's also still doing a good job at "Walang Tulugan" (No Sleep) show in the wee hours of the morning and if I may say, he's one of the few young male singers that can give the established ones a run for their money. He's also a good guy, I could only say he's ripe for the picking and I hope he gets to have more projects which can showcase his talents more soon. I can imagine him working on a musical and do a good job at it, something that's not seen on TV, something original just like him.

 

When we sat down for a short interview he says "I might be able to cater to a niche market but I'm still looking for one, to sell that kind of music. My plan is to release an album with my songs but it'll be sung by different artists. That's what I hope to happen so I could start this. I want to find my sweet spot. I think I'm still in that phase of looking for something that would be good for the greater number of people, and what would be nice for me. It's hard to gauge. More Than Words' success did a lot for me as an actor, it's a craft that I'm really serious with. I'm working on both things but I would want to concentrate to do one thing at a time. Singing or acting, I only can do so much. We're the top show in our time slot and I've been with Janine and Elmo for two shows now. You can see the development here in MTW, it's not all the time you're going to have fun if this was drama. Since this is a light show, it's a different feeling. I still am in school, I keep it a point not to stop, though I am currently underload I can still manage to do this. School and business is okay, it's a priority. People ask me what I wish for, but I think I just want a fruitful productive year, but of course it's all up to me." he also asks people to watch "More Than Words" on GMA's prime time slot.

Jak Roberto - GMA Artists Visit City of Malabon University (Part 1)

It was a great sunny day when we visited City of Malabon University in the north of Manila. Everybody else said it was going to rain and the people were very frightened about the Super Typhoon Ruby which ended up dissipating when it made landfall in Southern Luzon. It's a good thing that it did because a lot of people got the chance to meet their favorite stars from GMA and we were there to cover that.

Cakes were laid out on the table so when the students of City of Malabon University saw that, they immediately came rushing to the stage and awaited who would perform.

They even came in prepared, holding out their umbrellas to battle with the scorching hot sun because we were in the middle of the school's quadrangle. Their professors, Principal, even the city Mayor was in the venue.

Fist up was Jak Roberto. This guy as you can see got mobbed by the ladies. I can sense a young Christian Vasquez type of guy about him. He's a great actor, he's got really great looks but I think he's more good looking in person rather than photos. Now just imagine how they all went crazy when he approached some of the students in the crowd. Seriously, he could be one of GMA's greatest leading men very soon. Oh and if you haven't been able to see him perform, he's a regular in Kuya Germ's Walang Tulugan (No Sleep). He's one of the most impressive looking bodies too in this year's Cosmo Bash which surprised a ton of onlookers because they probably didn't expect a demigod in his persona.

Jak Roberto also took time and played several games with the students and even participated in booths of their school fair. Kisses and hugs were sent their way. Jak was so game to also sing, he's very talented and can play a mean guitar number. I can even tell the bloggers I were with was very fond of him especially Ely and MJ haha.

We sat down with Jak and asked about his ideal girl, he says "Of course I would want someone that has good personality because I love making conversations. That's how I am. If ever I had a lady to be a love team, I want my supporters to choose. But if I had the right to choose, it would be Yassi Pressman. I'd like to do a Wattpad episode soon too. I play basketball these days with my other GMA co-actors and I just had dinner with my family for my birthday. This is my first time to celebrate with Artist Center and I love it. Thank you by the way to the people who supported the independent film being shown in schools nationwide and I hope to be able to reach an even wider audience soon. I don't choose roles, if they see it fit with me I'm okay. I'd want to concentrate on drama. I am shocked at the response of the students in CMU. I haven't asked for anything but I want to be the person that's dedicated and more focused in opportunities. I want to be in my perfect form. I want more projects, more teleseryes and I want to be great this year. I want to emulate Paulo Avelino or Coco Martin. We don't have plans for Christmas but I'm probably going to spend it in Bulacan. Thank you to my sponsors who helped us entertain people here in Malabon."

Green Alternatives: Taiwan Bicycles in Manila

I still remember the time when I first rode this two wheeled vehicle and was able to do so without trainers or help from grown ups when I was 4. After riding it for a few minutes and getting to the end of the street, I realized that I was too happy driving but I haven't even learned how to stop. Oh yes! Although it was fine to be in public vehicles that carry a lot of people from point A to point B, I could smell and see smoke coming out of the muffler and we have sardine can like MRT/LRT as options. Sad story, but I think there is still hope. I've seen a lot of guys take cycling seriously and doubly happy the Filipinos has been bitten by the bug to take environmentally great steps to be involved to love the worthwhile sport. Brands from around the world even take our young nation to be one of the best places to showcase their products, I'm glad they even took notice because it's an emerging market as we go greener, even more. 

Aside from the opportunity of helping the environment, health-wise, it's the best thing that could ever happen to you if you pick up the habit. Doing a few kilometers would get a few calories burned, fat dissolved and kilograms lost in the mid section. It's benefits have been unquestioned by health and fitness professionals so why shouldn't we do it right? Kim Chiu For Cherry Mobile

I love Kimmy! On the Cherry Mobile event a few days ago, I thought she was just being regularly introduced - as if she was just going on the stage to thank the executives of the company. People were telling me over Instagram that she would be wearing something red (possibly a gown from a local designer of sorts) but I didn't know she was going out of the shadows clad in a sexy corset and tight faux leather pants singing and dancing a number like this. The last time we met was when she was being launched as one of the new endorsers of the Windows OS based phones, tablets and phablets of this brand. Her fans absolutely loved her new commercial and of course, she's a very effective endorser. I, like a lot of people I know felt really sad at that small brouhaha about her winning the Best Actress award. I just wish people who said bad things about her should watch that show when she accepted the trophy, because you'll know how genuine she was, she was very happy about it. Let's give credit where credit is due because she did work hard on the show, much like when she performed during this evening. She didn't shortchange the crowd as you can see!
