GMA Thanksgiving Night with Gabbi, Ruru, Miggy and Bianca

Wednesday, February 11, 2015

We went to GMA a few days ago through the invitation of GMA Artist Center for what seems to be a thanksgiving dinner. Seems - because instead of the usual "just eating dinner" part, we had the chance to talk to some of GMA's brightest stars. Mind you, these guys and gals are very busy but they went out of their way to talk to us even just for a few hours.

I got excited when I saw one of my favorite love teams in GMA, it's Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madrid. Also, we had the privilege of seeing Miggy Jimenez and Bianca Umali who hails from the popular show "Once Upon a Kiss". I watched these guys on their previous shows and they have indeed improve a lot in the acting department. They're still doing this program with a multitude of veteran stars on the list. I personally watch it and the pairing of Miguel Tanfelix and Bianca Umali has taken a life on its own. They were even blessed with endorsements because aside from the  fact that they look good together, they're wearing the BUM clothes quite comfortably and they add it matches their personality. I'll give you the shots from that perhaps next month.

Ruru Madrid and Gabbi Garcia look so good together. I would even mistake they've been a real life couple for some time now. Their closeness is evident and we can even see their chemistry on screen, it's really effective and the clamor for another project has always been there. They just finished a short run over "Seasons of Love" and that was really successful. They know you guys want something of the same tone the next time they come out on TV and from what I heard, GMA and GMA Artist Center has tons of plans for them. They couldn't confirm yet though but I believe they'll be given a soap pretty soon. Aside from that, Ruru told us how comfortable they are already and when he works with Gabbi, he doesn't stress as much because every time they're in a scene, it's like they know when to attack the characters like they've done it for a hundred times. Even if Ruru adlibs on some occasion, Gabbi can insert her ideas in the scene without hesitation. That happens even if they didn't rehearse before a shot.

As for their love life, they made the impression that they're not really in a hurry. They're still young and they've got tons of projects in the pipeline. It's that work that they're more worried about rather than the relationship that could blossom with their pairing. They know where they stand and they have seriously talked about it. They have decided to concentrate on their careers first, and as they have noted, their families are very close already that small things like that are not to be worried about. If they arrive at an opportune time to be with each other, they'll get there and there's no need to rush things they said. I've never seen Ruru so serious answering a question like that haha!

Bianca by the way goes to home school and she's almost going to finish it soon. She also passed the acceleration exams and plans to take up a course in the arts. She's not expecting to stay in show business her whole life. She's so involved in it and is sketching quite a lot already. She did show us her latest ones and it is impressive. She also dreams to do nude paintings, which she plans to do in the future. She's inspired with family, the feeling of being alone, and she says she overthinks a lot. She also says she's kind of in love with the darkness, much like Chynna Ortaleza, similar, a little she adds. They got to spend some time too during workshops and she also enjoys her company. I find her really good in photos and really good in editorials because I've seen her during BUM shoots. She worked with Miggy for a few years but Bianca was too young to remember that. He even showed Bianca their photos and they were beside each other but didn't know about it til the time they worked together. It was like 2004 so it's pretty understandable. Bianca also adds Miguel couldn't come that time because he got sick during the taping of Ismol Family. It's kinda very cold in their location and they were a little tired since they almost shoot everyday. They are in hacienda like locations because the script calls for it.

Miggy by the way celebrated his birthday earlier and said the kids they went to in the shelter (Child Haus) were so sweet because they received lots of cards and gifts from them. He said he'll be using that experience too as an actor. He says he got too emotional during the Artist Center event earlier. He dances and plans to improve on it still. He does look a little bit like Enrique Gil according to some bloggers we were with earlier. He's a bit young and wants to still improve so many things so he's taking time to do workshops which will improve his work. He said he couldn't watch the show anymore but wanted to do so, but his schedules for the shoot coincide with the time they show it. He only learns about the episodes on Twitter and they're blessed that they trend everyday since they started, and with that, he's very thankful for.

Thank you so much to GMA Artist Center and everyone who made this event possible! Thank you also to Gab, Ruru, Miggy and Bianca for being so nice during the interviews. I hope we get to visit you on the set soon, and your future projects too!

7-Eleven Philippines Introduces City Blends

My #StatusItsComplicated pose LOL

What's your status?

The good people from 7-Eleven Philippines just wanted to ask you that question. It just happened to be a little near Valentine's day so it kinda feels a little awkward, but don't worry because it's just coffee.

They call this CITY BLENDS. When you're already tired from that over hyped, over priced and over fancy coffee, 7-Eleven Philippines just did it simply wonderful. It dawned on them that the real successful way to sell this product is by keeping it real. They want it simple, cutting slack of bringing you that same journey of bean to cup. They found the best machine for the job and set it inside selected stores in the metro. Their goal is to have this whole experience available for everyone in 700 stores within the year. A feat so great, they're challenging themselves to get you all these at a very affordable price, in cups that specifically reflect the season too.

Whether you're Single, Taken or Complicated this Valentines day, you have the choice to show your own status and get the best bang for the buck cup of coffee from their stores. You think I'm joking?

It's honest, yes, it's honest to goodness coffee in a cup. It's also easy to brew it yourself too because you basically just need to place the cup and press one button to enjoy this beverage. Check out our video below!

Aside from enjoying this coffee, I don't have to spend 180 pesos to get one. It only costs as low as 20 pesos for fresh, real coffee. Isn't that neat?

Executives from 7-Eleven Philippines say that this is just the beginning. They have more plans lined up for this new brand of coffee from their stores and it'll reach other branches real soon. Now, there's no more excuse, there's no more complaints to utter when all you want to have us just a cup of coffee. Best of all, it's easy to get it in 7-Eleven, the Philippines' number one 24 hour convenience store.

Kapuso Stars Visits Child Haus

Tuesday, February 10, 2015

Vince Velasco, Sancho Delas Alas, Diva Montelaba, Stephanie Sol, Miggy Jimenez, Ervic Vijandre and Vince Gammad

We got to a small shelter in Quezon City called Child Haus, a haven for cancer patients from far flung areas in the Philippines. Aside from the visit, we're also celebrating the birthdays of Kapuso stars Vince Velasco, Sancho Delas Alas, Diva Montelaba, Stephanie Sol, Miggy Jimenez, Ervic Vijandre and Vince Gammad. Some of them, it's actually their first time to have an event with GMA Artist Center. They probably arranged this to get in touch with reality, to get on the more humane side of themselves, and also to at least make the children in this home a bit happy. That even in their condition, they would feel special, feel loved even just for a short while. It would also give them hope, to still dream, to become just like these stars... successful, blessed and infinitely happy.

The birthday celebrants were very happy. They played games, gave them great gifts and shared cakes in the program. The kids were all to happy too and accepted all the toys and goodies that were prepared for them. Later on, Vince Velasco, Sancho Delas Alas, Diva Montelaba, Stephanie Sol, Miggy Jimenez, Ervic Vijandre and Vince Gammad went in front and performed their songs, dances and gave their short messages to the kids. But when they almost were at the end of the program, they weren't prepared for what happened next. The kids lined up and went in front of the stars, then they started singing songs too, including one that thanked them for their efforts for celebrating their birthdays in the shelter. The kids then took out small trinkets and hand made birthday cards for the Kapuso stars... that's where they all started crying.

Vince Velasco and Sancho Delas Alas couldn't wipe away the smiles on their faces because they got to enjoy time with the kids, with Sancho even performing a magic trick for them during that afternoon. They gave their messages to the kids and told them to never lose hope because there are a lot of people praying for them, so they could get well and live their lives as normal as it could. Vince Velasco just did a Maynila episode called "Proxy Love" opposite Glaiza De Castro, he did pretty good in that stint. Sancho on the other hand is very new in GMA, he's set to have a lot of shows and workshops under GMA Artist Center. He also hasn't recovered much yet because his long time crush Marian Rivera just surprised him on his birthday, but still he's thankful to GMAC for letting him experience the charity event and promises he'll have more of it soon.

Brother Launches Customer+ Loyalty Program

Monday, February 09, 2015

One of the world's premier printer, sewing machine and labeling solutions manufacturer "Brother" just recently launched their new Customer+ Loyalty Program. This is a one of a kind fully integrated customer service program that provides state of the art training programs for new and some 7,000+ exisiting Brother printers and multifunction center customers in the Philippines.

Brother's very own Managing Executive Officer Takagumi Kamenouchi flew in from Japan and said "The Brother Group is glad that Borther Philippines is reaching out to customers. As we further strengthen the brand, we fully recognize the need of our Filipino consumers to be given our brand's service excellence with this program."

"Our loyalty program does not entail you to continually purchase products, we recognize that owning one already made you trust us. Brother is always by your side. We adhere to our global charter, we give superior value and gain your loyalty and this is a business policy. Without the customer, our company would not exist and this is your return of investment. It's where we hear your voice and we're here to listen, study everything and improve our products. We are going to improve your Brother experience." says Glenn Hocson, the President of Brother Philippines.

"Other than the user training, we also have our helpdesk. We have a dedicated line for those who really engage with us by having this Customer+ program. We also send monthly emails to get feedback from our customer+ users and special events. We take it personally, we make sure your feedback would be used to improve products further. With Customer+, you are more than a customer to us." he adds.

During the event, they showcased their latest multifunction printers that can scan, fax, copy and download images over wifi or air print if you have iPhone too.

I love the Brother Sewing Machines, portable scanners, labelers and the office printers too. Pretty good stuff for OC people like me.

These other printers are also good for SOHO (small offices/home offices). They've got some from 6K to 13K range, but have more where you need it most. Troy Montero, Patty Laurel, Jeron and Jeric Teng, Ginoboi Quillamor, Marc Pingris, Danica Sotto Pingris, Patricia Prieto, Ginger Conejero and LA Tenorio was also there to witness the event. There were booths as well that have the different products of Brother and the foundations they support as a global company.

You should try out Brother too. Go visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/BROTHERatyourside and their official website http://www.brother.com.ph for their products and services.
