We got to a small shelter in Quezon City called Child Haus, a haven for cancer patients from far flung areas in the Philippines. Aside from the visit, we're also celebrating the birthdays of Kapuso stars Vince Velasco, Sancho Delas Alas, Diva Montelaba, Stephanie Sol, Miggy Jimenez, Ervic Vijandre and Vince Gammad. Some of them, it's actually their first time to have an event with GMA Artist Center. They probably arranged this to get in touch with reality, to get on the more humane side of themselves, and also to at least make the children in this home a bit happy. That even in their condition, they would feel special, feel loved even just for a short while. It would also give them hope, to still dream, to become just like these stars... successful, blessed and infinitely happy.

The birthday celebrants were very happy. They played games, gave them great gifts and shared cakes in the program. The kids were all to happy too and accepted all the toys and goodies that were prepared for them. Later on, Vince Velasco, Sancho Delas Alas, Diva Montelaba, Stephanie Sol, Miggy Jimenez, Ervic Vijandre and Vince Gammad went in front and performed their songs, dances and gave their short messages to the kids. But when they almost were at the end of the program, they weren't prepared for what happened next. The kids lined up and went in front of the stars, then they started singing songs too, including one that thanked them for their efforts for celebrating their birthdays in the shelter. The kids then took out small trinkets and hand made birthday cards for the Kapuso stars... that's where they all started crying.

Vince Velasco and Sancho Delas Alas couldn't wipe away the smiles on their faces because they got to enjoy time with the kids, with Sancho even performing a magic trick for them during that afternoon. They gave their messages to the kids and told them to never lose hope because there are a lot of people praying for them, so they could get well and live their lives as normal as it could. Vince Velasco just did a Maynila episode called "Proxy Love" opposite Glaiza De Castro, he did pretty good in that stint. Sancho on the other hand is very new in GMA, he's set to have a lot of shows and workshops under GMA Artist Center. He also hasn't recovered much yet because his long time crush Marian Rivera just surprised him on his birthday, but still he's thankful to GMAC for letting him experience the charity event and promises he'll have more of it soon.

One of the world's premier printer, sewing machine and labeling solutions manufacturer "Brother" just recently launched their new Customer+ Loyalty Program. This is a one of a kind fully integrated customer service program that provides state of the art training programs for new and some 7,000+ exisiting Brother printers and multifunction center customers in the Philippines.

Brother's very own Managing Executive Officer Takagumi Kamenouchi flew in from Japan and said "The Brother Group is glad that Borther Philippines is reaching out to customers. As we further strengthen the brand, we fully recognize the need of our Filipino consumers to be given our brand's service excellence with this program."

"Our loyalty program does not entail you to continually purchase products, we recognize that owning one already made you trust us. Brother is always by your side. We adhere to our global charter, we give superior value and gain your loyalty and this is a business policy. Without the customer, our company would not exist and this is your return of investment. It's where we hear your voice and we're here to listen, study everything and improve our products. We are going to improve your Brother experience." says Glenn Hocson, the President of Brother Philippines.

"Other than the user training, we also have our helpdesk. We have a dedicated line for those who really engage with us by having this Customer+ program. We also send monthly emails to get feedback from our customer+ users and special events. We take it personally, we make sure your feedback would be used to improve products further. With Customer+, you are more than a customer to us." he adds.

During the event, they showcased their latest multifunction printers that can scan, fax, copy and download images over wifi or air print if you have iPhone too.

I love the Brother Sewing Machines, portable scanners, labelers and the office printers too. Pretty good stuff for OC people like me.

These other printers are also good for SOHO (small offices/home offices). They've got some from 6K to 13K range, but have more where you need it most. Troy Montero, Patty Laurel, Jeron and Jeric Teng, Ginoboi Quillamor, Marc Pingris, Danica Sotto Pingris, Patricia Prieto, Ginger Conejero and LA Tenorio was also there to witness the event. There were booths as well that have the different products of Brother and the foundations they support as a global company.

You should try out Brother too. Go visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/BROTHERatyourside and their official website http://www.brother.com.ph for their products and services.

The ULTIMATE Concert of Lani Misalucha, Gary Valenciano, Regine Velasquez and Martin Nievera

Ms. Anna Puno and Cacai Velasquez was so happy to announce that the tickets for the two day concert is already sold out! This was attributed to the ticket sales right after the first press conference.

Ms. Lani Misalucha, Mr. Gary Valenciano, Ms. Regine Velasquez and Mr. Martin Nievera were all there to thank the media and their sponsors. When asked about what would make their concert different, Martin says they're a dream team and they're even promoting other concerts aside from them. They say the industry in the Philippines already matured and it's wonderful that even small joints can be full because the audience wants to watch intimate concerts. Gary lauds the younger ones and hopes they would also be headliners soon, they have so much opportunities. Regine adds that younger singers do have concerts in the middle of the year and they do it in Valentines day which is easier to market. But really, how can we not agree on the fact that they are the creme dela creme of the Philippine music industry.

Martin Nievera also got a surprise during the grand press conference, it was his birthday a few days ago so they had a cake delivered too!

When asked about who they want to be the next Lani, it would be Morisette and Clarisse. Gary on the other hand stayed safe and didn't pick one, but he likes Sam Concepcion and he wishes he'd be given the chance to do so. For Regine, she wants Princess Sophia and Barney, she doesn't know anyone right now because she's busy. She prefers not to pick one and wishes everyone makes their own mark and be great at it. Morisette and Julie Ann Jose came to mind but she's sure they will make their own name. Martin prefers his son but he's trying so hard not to be like him. He also says Robi Domingo and Luis Manzano can do his style of hosting, and says they're really good.

Ms. Lani Misalucha seemed so humble. She said she was a bit intimidated about the lineup because they are accomplished singers. Even if Martin joles about her burping, she lauds them individually because their stature is no joke. Ms. Regine is funny and they said that if they don't know she's already in the venue, you'll hear her signature laugh and you're sure she's there. Martin is also very down to earth because she treats everyone the same, even goes the extra mile and serves his band their food.

Ms. Cacai Velasquez also got surprised and got her cake wheeled in as well from Fernandos Bakeshop.

By the way, the proceeds for this concert will go to World Vision which is a charity that Cacai and her production supports too. They also had a booth that afternoon to get support for children who are still studying, but are in dire need.

They're happy that the concert is sold out but they're having live streaming too in selected SM Theaters, so go there and ask about it on the same dates! They also hope you would see the biggest and best show on the 15th! They're going to rest for a bit so they can be ready on those dates, for sure this will be one for the books!

Ciao!

Getting Rid of Acne: Try SkinTrends!

Sunday, February 08, 2015

We all have skin problems during puberty, or our lifetime. Some less, some more seen but overall, we get to that one point when you just don't want to see it anymore especially when you need to go out to study or work. You get to break that normalcy because if you've got acne, you'll be ridiculed, looked upon and worse, treated like a freak coming out of a laboratory. I've met Dr. Herbia Joy Gonzales-Mongcal a couple of months ago and she did an excellent job answering questions about how the simple problem of pimples can be resolved by regular, time tested procedures she has been doing in clinics for a throng of her clientele.

Skintrends was started years ago by Dr. Joy in the city of Sta. Rosa, Laguna. It was called HCG Face and Body Clinic then and was a haven for wanted skin services at an affordable and reasonable cost. With further studies, training, and technology by her put in on the clinic, Dr. Joy got more clients from the southern Metro Manila area. The clamor to have more clinics that would be also closer to other cities became stronger and so they expanded branches to accommodate those who need the same level of service and quality products that would solve the real undeniable problem of acne. Her efforts were evidently bearing fruit because after her old clients saw how successful their treatments were, they had the next generation to also try their clinic later on. The sons, daughters, friends and family all became accustomed to what Skintrends provided these past few years, They heavily relied on word of mouth and since they've opened up a couple of more clinics nearby, they wanted more people to benefit from what they have inside their clinics.

When I saw the list of their services, I thought it was going to be a little expensive, but no. I didn't even see anything ridiculously priced at all. Then they go on and told us that we could individually treat our readers too.

If you print this out and show it to them in their clinics, you'll get 100 pesos off your services (one voucher per day/transaction only). I think I even saw a 200++ basic facial on the list, now with this, you can get that same procedure at half the cost! Isn't that crazy? I know. Anyway, if you're still having problems with pimples, acnes or just plain want to get something done on your skin, try out SkinTrends in their branches at Sta. Rosa Laguna, Eastwood City, SM Fairview, Ali Mall, Festival Supermall in Alabang, and Pacific Century Tower in Quezon City. She's got strict training done on all her people so you won't be sorry if you avail their services. Aside from that, she know what she's doing and even if I did my research about it, she accommodates questions from people as crazy as me. So think about it, would you not want to treat yourself today? Print the image above and enjoy your time there... it'll be worth it especially if you're still suffering from acne. :)
