Happy Wife, Happy Life Starts Season 3!

Traffic was bad but we were all optimistic as TV5 adds another season to Happy Wife, Happy Life starred by Danica Sotto Pingris, LJ Moreno Alapag and Gelli De Belen Rivera. They started to tell some really comforting words for Ms. Marielle Rodriguez Padilla as she suffered another miscarriage yesterday evening. They know they'll get through this ordeal and added there wouldn't be any trouble that would be brought upon them that they couldn't solve. 

They promise this season to have more food trips, more happy moms on their third season. Gelli said "The difference between them and Janice is that they're very game. They don't complain even of they walk for miles and still talk about their basketball player husbands. Even if I'm not home, I know things at home are good because Ariel is the right person for me, we started that way."

Lj added "Jimmy is very hands on with the kids and it helps that he grew up in the states. He didn't want to hire a maid but I needed one. He takes care of the kids when I couldn't and even goes to the point where he prepares the milk when I don't want to go off the bed. I am so thankful I have a husband like him!"

Danica says "There's only one thing that Marc and I fight over, and that's giving candies to the kids. I couldn't handle the hyper activity that comes after. A little gummy bear entails a lot of things and he's so okay with that and I become the evil woman, but he understands why I do that and he has his reasons."

The thing that bonds them even more this season is marriage and how they've experienced it. When they share small things, that's what keeps them close. They believe men sets the pace and the women maintains and enhances it. So at home, they give that to the man. They were also hypothetically asked if ever they had third parties, none of them would like to be in that situation and said if ever it happened there will really be repercussions. 

This season, they will be traveling to different places and are willing to go out there. They want to also eat in far flung areas so they would be reminded about Filipino roots, living simple, a thing that interests people that watch their show.

Owen Franks Now Executive Producer for Bloomberg TV Philippines

I've been watching Bloomberg TV for years now. Even as a kid, while my Father was doing his job in the Airport, I was always with other corporate executives in the lounge watching real live updates and fondly listen while they discuss matters of stocks, the economy and the turn of the millennium. Now when news came that Bloomberg was about to hit the Philippines, people in the industry were flabbergasted. I learned of this news last month while I was browsing stock forums. You see, this business channel is gearing to launch next month as part of Cigna's new channel lineup. It's making history as it becomes the first ever 24/7 business news channel in the country. 

The Bloomberg Media Group also announced Owen Franks as Bloomberg TV Philippines' Executive Producer. The former Al Jazeera and BBC veteran brings over 15 years of experience in the broadcast industry. He will be leading talent and production teams from TV5's News5, and also be responsible for the overall editorial direction of news programming and operations of the channel soon. Bloomberg Philippines will be more than just a place to watch updated stocks, it'll bring the region's best stories and will make things easier come ASEAN integration wherein the Philippines is a major player.

Red Planet Launches Brand and 10th Hotel in the Philippines

Yesterday was quite an adventure. I visited the Red Planet flagship building in Amorsolo, Makati City. Although the rain and howling winds tried to dampen my spirit, this was something I was looking forward to do the whole week because the former Tune Hotels operator just split ties with that brand and said they separated because of difference in directions. I must say, they've been a really good franchise and if they wanted to do a different take on the business, they've got all the rights to do so. So in a nutshell, ye the rumor is true and they're planning to make the Red Planet brand stand alone and be operated by them fully. From the looks of it, they've got a very promising place now that they're beginning to roll out BIG changes that they want to happen with Red Planet.

Check in and check out's a breeze in the running Amorsolo branch. I don't think they even troubled their patrons even if they're revamping the places so it could follow the new standard that they dream for Red Planet. This is something that they're really happy about because from the looks of it, they're running the business as a hostel rather than a  fully budgeted one. They're even installing really fast Internet connection specifically for their guests. Their turnover is very fast, and the people staying in their hotels are primarily backpackers who just want something simple and efficient. To providde comfortable, connected, technology enabled desirable locations at attractive prices. This is the philosophy that Red Planet believes in, and they say "It's all about Value!".

Beverly Caimen Launches First Album Under GMA Records

She's not really new to the industry but this is her first album. That 20 year old lady who won as WCOPA 2013 Senior Grand Champion Vocalist of the World and Grand Champion Performer of the World admits that it's been a long time since they planned for this to happen. This she says is the perfect time for her dream, and she's worked hard since she came back from the win in that competition. 

Beveryly says "Before I joined WCOPA I already was joining amateur singing contests and that's where I usually sing my winning piece "One Moment In Time". My manager Vehnee Saturno and I were auditioning in different recording companies and finally chose GMA Records to do this with us. I was really hoping to always win contests because I really find it hard to lose, and I didn't take losing very good at all. WCOPA was an international thing and it was something I never even dreamed of. This album was two years in the making. Most of the songs I have are made by Sir Vehnee Saturno. I'm still studying but I'm about to graduate this year with a Psychology major. When I auditioned for WCOPA I wasn't really thinking of going that far, I was just with two friends that auditioned that year but later on I didn't know I would win. USA, Malaysia, Brunei, Malaysia were really tough competitors. 

I've been singing since I was 9, they heard me sing and thought it was nice and got to join amateur contests in Batangas and Laguna. I really it like when people say that I look like Sheryn Regis because she's a great singer. My first carrier single "Maari Ba" is now being used for Two Mothers and I was so happy and excited that it's going to heard almost everyday. I have 2 revivals "Saan ako nagkamali" and "I will be here to stay", but my favorite is Maari Ba because when I heard the demo I really felt the song. I would really love to get the chance to sing with Sarah Geronimo, and also Alden Richards. In a few years, I'd like to have a huge concert and tour the world!"

It's been a while since she's in the music scene because she's undergoing more training, being planned to do some Japanese album, and this one in Manila. If given the opportunity, she's willing to go the mile. She's also willing to work out her career in Japan. She hopes her time will come, even if there's a lot of competition in the Philippines.
