Glaiza De Castro : Dreams Never End Concert

Tuesday, September 15, 2015

After filling countless mall shows, after releasing an independently produced album, after getting lovely sales on what initially was project between friends, I felt so extremely happy for her when I heard she was having a concert. She's Glaiza De Castro, and she'll be dishing out her brand of music on October 3 at the new Music Museum. She's excited and extremely happy about how things turned out and she's not stopping there. She's got a dream and she's doing everything to make that come true. This was the opportune time to do it. So before a throng of press people and bloggers a few days ago, she whipped out her guitar, laid out the sheets and had us marvel on the pure unadulterated Glaiza De Castro brand of music. It was like I could feel her emotions overflow with every verse, every word she uttered that evening. Glaiza and her band seemed to lose themselves in the moment and with great gusto, because it's love, revenge, heartbreak, happiness, sadness, like a rollercoaster ride of emotions. This is the same kind of thing they'll be doing in the concert so if you've loved her all these years, this may be the one time she's expecting you to be there.

The talented Glaiza even played songs from her album Synthesis which she says is dedicated to all the people behind the album who made time, effort to make her lyrics, her music. It's a hodgepodge of people from different walks of life, from celebrity friends whom she never even anticipated would be part of it. Here's two videos from the blogcon:

Here are other shots of Glaiza during her performance and interview:

She's lovely, she's talented and she's never going to let go of that dream. She's taking it by the tail and spinning it around, making this moment rightfully hers on October 3, 2015 at the Music Museum in Greenhills. Let's all support Glaiza and her great guests Rhian Ramos, Jay R, Aiza Seguerra, Kitchie Nadal and Ms. Regine Velasquez. For tickets, please visit http://glaizaredux.com/ and make sure you get one. I saw some sections are sold out already so hurry!

AlDub - Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza : Newest Talk N Text Endorsers

Monday, September 14, 2015

It was the feeling of love, sweetness and connected-ness that got us all together during the grand reveal of Talk N Text's newest endorsers Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza popularly known as AlDub. This time, we've got the dimpled hearthrob from GMA appearing in the event whilst Maine aka Yaya Dub stayed digitally connected on screen as to keep the series' mystery because up until now, they haven't completely met yet. There have been times I am getting frustrated with plywoods, mad about blindfolds and getting in love with straws... but after hearing they're texting with Talk N Text a while ago made me realize, there might just be forever!

Here's a video of the press conference earlier. Enjoy and please play it on HD! If you're watching, make sure you catch the one of the videos of Maine being shown on display and see what Alden does after a flying kiss was thrown by the lovely Yaya Dub!

You will soon see the official commercial, so make sure you follow Talk N Text's social media accounts, and @kumagcow on Twitter and Instagram so we can get em videos for you once they come out. Yes, there's more!  Watch out for the commercial coming out during Eat Bulaga tomorrow so stay tuned!

Fujifilm's Mirrorless Revolution + Camera and Lens Festival

Had the chance to drop by the Fujifilm event in New World Hotel Makati today and found some very new and interesting cameras. It's also their Camera and Lens Festival so it'll be an exciting month for those who love street and travel photography. I was really itching to switch, drooling over the X-T1 honestyly but I have yet to find a huge reason to do so. Aside from that it will come with a very hefty price so I might need to sell Trish (my D60 Nikon cam don't tell her!) but I wanted to see more reasons if it's worth it.

The Camera and Lens Festival for Street and Travel is going on and the 30-50% discount for lenses is until the end of this month so you better head out to Fujifilm stores and authorized sellers if you're interested. Aside from that, the cameras go for Php 19,990 - 69,990 in different models X30, X100T, X-A2, X-E2, X-T10, but am still in love with that XT-1 as I said earlier. That's less Php 2,500 - Php 12,000 the original price, does that convice you to switch? I know, I'm already depressed knowing that LOL! It's going on until November 30 so you'll have tons of time to decide.

My mentor Fashion Photographer Niko Villegas and other famous guys in the industry use these caneras and they've proven how the mirrorless cameras fare with the heavy and bulky DSLR. I'm glad I have the smallest one in the Nikon line but just imagine the other guys who carry around full framed cams at sky high prices these days. Sometimes, it's just not practical anymore. Another reason to switch. You get that? The mirrorless camera revolution is here, you might have the reasons to switch now and probably waiting for the right time, this might be it. It's the best innovation to have sharper images, right colors, not that much reason to edit and imagine the work you don't have to do if it's worthy straight from the cam. I spend hours doing that.

The print and image quality is stunning. Sometimes I wonder why I've been holding on to bulky cameras when I could have just made my life easier with a mirrorless camera. It's got X Trans CMOS sensor with a random pixel arrangement, solving color aberration, moire and have accurate color reproduction in high resolution format. Better quality than dslr's and full frame cameras, without the bulky size.

Here's some snippets during the event:

Congratulations Fujifilm! You'll definitely convert a lot of consumers after this showing!

Piolo Pascual - Rhian Ramos Starrer SILONG Now On Mainstream Cinemas

Would you be willing to gamble your for love even if it cost you your life? Would you be willing to get hurt or die for it? That's exactly what the movie Silong wants to answer as it gets release this September 16, 2015 as Star Cinema, Black Mamba Pictures and SQ Film Laboratories release it in mainstream cinema. With two directors Jeffrey Hidalgo and Roy Sevilla Ho at the helm, Silong will make you think about how it is to love but be in the midst of danger.

Piolo Pascual plays Miguel Castro, a doctor mourning who suddenly finds a badly beaten Valerie played by gorgeous Rhian Ramos. He gets Rhian back to health and gets her into his care, not knowing what serious consequences this may entail. This is their first pairing and these two actors have been drawing accolades from different bodies and would spark the start of other genres in the same studio after a lengthy run of romcoms. This is also the finale film shown during Cinemalaya.

Here are some excerpts from the presscon held this Sunday:

Silong also stars Guji Lorenzana, Angel Jacob and Raymund Concepcion. It'll be shown on cinemas this September 16, 2015 in theaters nationwide!
