Patricia Javier Releases New Single "Ngayong Paskong Ito"

Monday, November 30, 2015

We found a very happy Patricia Javier earlier as she released an independently produced single called "Ngayong Paskong Ito" (This Christmas) held at the President's Tower in Quezon City. Patricia is now happily married with famed San Diego based Chiropractor Dr. Rob Walcher. They're also campaigning for the Lifestyle and Beauty work they're doing now as they've completely brought their whole family to the Philippines and plan to start their business here. They've already helped countless people; some celebrities like Claudine Baretto,  EA Guzman, Lyn Ching, and PBA's Calvin Abueva among others. They believe in a healthy lifestlye, a good spine and working on how to maintain good looks by using low cost products and a few beauty secrets. In spite of the years working in front of the camera, Patricia has donned several magazine covers even at her age. Even Dr. Rob agrees that it's not an excuse for Moms to not take care of themselves after giving birth to kids because it helps build confidence, a better outlook in life.

Patricia Javier is also excited about her new single. She purposely put this out on digital release so that people would start listening to it during the Christmas Season. The single "Ngayong Paskong Ito" (This Christmas) talks about the struggle of people who have their loved ones abroad or in the military. This is also for the OFW's who feel lonely, to give them hope that it'll be better soon.

Here's her music video for "Ngayong Paskong Ito":

Here's also our interview with Patricia and her husband Dr. Rob during the event this morning.

They were also thankful about Marc Nelson being in this video. He didn't hesitate to actually be in this video given their history as exes. They're still good friends and joked about next time doing it with her husband. In all honesty, I find her song nice. It'll really be good to listen to especially because it's the holidays. You might get a little sad but it's going to be better, I think that's the general message. That is good. It's also written and composed by Larry Hermoso.

Rafael Rosell, Gabby Concepcion and Carla Abellana stars in GMA's Because of You

You've seen the trailer this morning with me and you seem to have loved the premise of the story because you're already reading this. Yes, it's Carla Abellana, Rafael Rosell and the one and only Gabby Concepcion starring on this new show called "Because of You". It's a tale of two lovers who was already getting married, and when they were literally at the altar on their dream wedding, the guy suddenly got cold feet and ran away from all the arrangements, all the families, all the responsibilities and conned his lovely bride. This situation got even worse as Carla's character stormed the streets of Manila, feeling lost, and almost died falling off a bridge if it weren't for Gabby Concepcion's character saving her from that fall. You'll love it once Dirctor Mark Reyes executes it on TV.

Gabby has already worked with Carla Abelllana in the past and says "I'm very comfortable working with her in this series because it's actually very light. It's a romantic comedy with a different approach and doing it was a breeze!". Carla on the other hand mentioned "I'm glad to have been able to work again with Gabby and be reunited with Bettina Carlos and Tita Celia Rodriguez. It's another chance to also learn from them and I'm looking forward to see them in the series. I hope that people would be as excited as I am with Because of You."

The show holds a lot of promise and it would be fun to see how Gabby would end up with Carla's character after Rafael leaves her during their wedding. Make sure you watch it today at 9:15 PM on GMA Telebabad.

The Kapuso Comedy Festival: Paolo Contis, Ruffa Mae Quinto, Charise Solomon, Kevin Santos, Mosang and Boobay

It was a super fun night to be with the brightest comedy stars of GMA a few days ago in what was dubbed as the Kapuso Comedy Festival. We got the chance to experience playing small games with Bubble Gang's Paolo Contis, Ruffa Mae Quinto, Charise Solomon, Ismol Family's Kevin Santos, Pepito Manaloto's Mosang during the blogcon at TGI Friday's in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. Hosting the small gathering was super funny Boobay who's also a part of Celebrity Bluff. It was a blast to meet new people and very talented ones at that. During the event, we first talked to the people from Bubble Gang who's actually celebrating their 20th year in the show. They planned a big event last November 27 and sure enough, there were tons of stars who went back on the show. This includes those who have also gone and sought refuge in other networks. They were all dolled up and gorgeous, I saw it on TV.

Here are some excerpts during the Kapuso Comedy Festival Blogcon:

It's such a good thing to see that GMA is still making efforts to make shows that are apt for the general Filipino audience. We still smile a midst the countless problems we have in our daily lives. Comedy is hard to do, they all agreed to that. In fact some of them do find it quite difficult to crack a joke than cry in a scene. The personalities, as varied as they might seem like on screen have one thing in particular in mind when they entertain people... they think about YOU, the viewing public and how you could spend a couple minutes of your time in front of the TV and forget the day's problems. No matter how small you think that is, it means countless  hours of work and brainstorming for most of these comedians. They even promise to do more in the future especially Bubble Gang who already informed us of new characters and new gimmicks in the next episodes. Are you excited as I am? :)

Thank you to GMA Social Media, Paolo Contis, Ruffa Mae Quinto, Charise Solomon, Kevin Santos, Pepito Manaloto, Mosang and Boobay for spending time with us. It's such a nice thing to get to know and talk to you personally. Again, thank you!

Golden Phoenix Hotel Manila

Sunday, November 29, 2015

It was a great day to start a journey to the south, particularly in the Mall of Asia area where thousands of people flock for the mall, the entertainment, the conferences and just about anything under the sun. We stayed at the Golden Phoenix Hotel Manila. For those who don't know, they're the same people who put up Golden Phoenix in Boracay (the one in the Station 3 market) which I think I've stayed in a couple of years ago. They wanted to establish a base in Manila and this was the right venue. It's right in front of SM SEA Residences and a couple minutes walk to SM Mall of Asia. If you're having an event in SMX Convention Center or watching a concert in MOA Arena, this is the closest hotel you can get and it's really new. Not much know about it but as of this reading they've been 80-90% occupied which says a lot about this hotel. It's really nice and if I could tell you one thing to note about their rooms is that, it's really huge. So in a nutshell, it's location, the ambiance, the rooms is its selling point. They've got pretty decent food and really good service even if they're just starting. I bet this would be packed on holidays and when huge conferences happen. Golden Phoenix Hotel Manila is still finishing some of their restaurants, pool and other floors but from what I've seen so far, it is very promising.

The journey there was easy, although only a few people know the place they've got tons of establishments around them to actually be busy with. It's proximity to these places, plus some entertainment hubs like City of Dreams, Solaire and Mall of Asia make it a worthwhile place to be in. It's not noisy, you can see that everything's new and you get a pretty good room rate if you actually book early.

The use of this 360° virtual tour of Golden Phoenix Hotel Manila in Pasay City is authorized by Traveloka.

I had fun inside my room and had filling breakfast buffet in the morning. You should definitely book a room in Golden Phoenix Hotel Manila real soon!
