New Shared Living Concepts: SPACE in Edsa

Thursday, February 11, 2016

Do you live in the north or way way south? Do you hate traveling distances when all you want to do is go to Makati or nearby offices? Well here's the thing, there's SPACE in Edsa. It's a dormitory type of living right in between Shaw and Pioneer MRT stations. All you need to do is pay Php 4,200, plus one month advanced so you can enjoy living in this hood and enjoy the amenities too. Mind you the place has a working gym inside plus a mess hall where you can entertain guests and commune with other people in the same place.

You have modern keycard access, a room mate matching program so you don't disturb other inhabitants when they have different schedules, and common dining space. The Php 4,200 per month actually is inclusive of Electric and Water Bills so it's like super affordable condo living which you can renew every month. If you're like me who's sick and tired of lining up, fitting in like a sardine inside the MRT everyday, then this might be the perfect place for you. SPACE Edsa is located at 167 Edsa, it's on top of the Major Homes Building in Mandaluyong City. You can also access it via Sierra Madre street in Mandaluyong so you wouldn't miss it. You can call them now at 09188432388 or 09772194070. This is a nice place to live in when you're a student or working nearby. It's also something new, a concept in shared living.

Clean rooms, in 8 or 4 divisions, plus ample amount of shower and comfort rooms, it's all made to be efficient for professionals, students or those who work in the BPO industry.

It's tough and expensive to be stuck in traffic, so live near your office and just go home on weekends. That's a good thing. They are also a legit community, and to note, they haven't been able to experience any security issues, which is  a good thing. You might not be able to cook here but the location is sprawling with restaurants, affordable food choices that could fit any budget. This is also designed for millenials, if you're around the supervisorial/professional ranks in the office, this would be something you definitely want to consider rather than commuting and lose time with traffic. They also plan to put up more locations soon, so just imagine how this would be convenient even for students in the University belt. Aside from that, they're going to have an app based reservation system which you'll see very soon. Open 24/7, visit Space Edsa or their website http://www.space.com.ph.

Beko Trade Launch

Have you heard of Beko?

Well you're not alone, but I've seen one of these in SM Appliance Centers and I've just learned that they're exclusive to the store til 2017. They also launched a few of their new refrigerators, stand alone ranges and fully automatic washing machines. They're not actually new and they've been doing this for years in Europe holding number 1 status in a couple of countries and they've brought some of it in Asia. They're very strong in research and development and they know how much the local market needs something advanced, something new and they're serious about it now that they've got a factory in Thailand. Their price point is very competitive and quality is far better they say, compared to the strong Asian brands.

The refrigerators are of large capacity, modern stainless design, with a Prosmart Inverter Compressor that would save you a ton in electricity consumption. They also use a frost free "Neo Frost Technology" system so almost all your goods stay fresh longer. It also won't smell like the market on your fridge because it's got active ionizers, and active Odour filter. Your veggies would stay to smell like veggies and not like fish you put in the freezer.

Can you imagine, they've put a 12 year warranty on the washing machine motors? Your clothes will also be clean using their propreitary Aquafusion Technology plus Aquawave technology using hi tech heaters, doing all the job quietly too. It passed European standards so if you're not impressed, the I don't know what else will make you believe Beko is good. It's also energy efficient so if you're looking for a washer dryer combo, you better look at Beko too.

During the trade launch, Beko also has drawn 2 round trip tickets to Barcelona Spain so you can watch an FC Barcelona match plus hotel accommodation for two. They did this in partnership with SM Appliance Center and got tickets to patrons that have been able to purchase their domestic appliances in-store. Isn't that amazing? They're planning to put out more "introductory priced" products in stores soon as they become available in the Philippines. They're actually competitively priced as compared with some major Asian brands and says they're going to have more choices, marketing efforts so they become more visible in the Philippine market.

There's much more that Beko could offer, I'm looking forward to have one very soon.

TV5 and VIVA Launches Panday Reboot

Tuesday, February 09, 2016

Having been able to watch a couple of Panday movies and TV adaptations, here goes Carlo J. Caparas again to give the most revered hero in Philippine cinema another reboot as they launch Ang Panday on TV5. It is led by the hunky Richard Gutierrez as he ventures out of his former TV station as a freelance artist.

"Ang Panday" is about a blacksmith who needed to defend his people and family from evil people, dark power and mystical creatures which he will meet along the way. You're also going to get a dose of women since we can't just leave the hero single and without inspiration of course. So here, he's going to be with the sultry Bangs Garcia, and that might take this story somewhere.

Richard Gutierrez promises this will have more action, more drama and adventure that will be catering to young kids who need inspiration, or adults who just love seeing something good on the boob tube. I know most of you might be thinking that this franchise has actually been done so many times in so many ways by different channels but what makes this effective is the heroics, something that pinoys would relate and hope for that some day, some way there will be some hero that will save the day. Aside from that, Richard has been able to do a pretty good job in this hero business if you remember Mulawin and Captain Barbell to name a few. It was even mentioned in the introduction that he's the "Fantaserye King".

The big difference is Richard becomes the new Flavio whilst the new Lizardo is Christopher De Leon. Richard has definitely lost a lot of weight. His arms are unbelievably huge and he says he had to do a LOT of preparations for this character and he knows how big this is. He's going to make his own Panday because he knows he's got BIG shoes to fill. Richard says he got some help from Direk Mac Alejandre and Direk Carlo Caparas. It's going to be a 2016 version of Panday.

Christopher De Leon says this is one of his favorite movies and when they asked him to play Lizardo, the power, the dominion and premise of this series will make you wonder how the characters came about. They can travel through time and it's more than the usual Lizardo as he's got more powers now.

Panday starts February 29 8;30PM and weeknights 9PM thereafter on TV5.
