There's A "Little Nanay" in All of Us: A "Little Nanay" Set Visit

I saw this written in a coloring book which was used to promote the GMA show "Little Nanay" while I was writing this story. We just got back from a long day of interviews with the cast in their Sta. Ana location shoot and we had fun talking to the cast of the show. I didn't quite get it why they would insinuate that we all had that "Little Nanay" in ourselves though because I know quite a few people who probably don't. I mean there are bad people living in the Philippines and I got confused with that statement.

I guess what they were trying to prove is, no matter what condition, mental capacity or psychological grade a person has, they'd probably have a little part of themselves to still care for someone else. That's the vibe that I got from Kris Bernal when we talked to her that afternoon. The show is about to end and I guess in some way, that's what she wanted to impart to the people who have steadfastly supported the show since it's inception. The task of making the character of Tinay alive was much of a challenge to the Kapuso actress but she feels it was all well worth it. They did make us think a lot about what a person who's matured but with a mind of an 8 year old could actually do to take care of their own daughter, their own family too. As with any other differently abled individual, they should always be treated as humans no matter how much we have to learn living with them would actually take. Cignal Welcomes Stephen Thompson in Manila

We're at the Mall of Asia Music hall today to give you a glimpse on how we treat Stephen "The Wonderboy" Thompson a little Filipino welcome courtesy of our friends from Cignal. This is a tour arranged by the company and they dub it as "UFC & Cignal Presents: On the Rise, Stephen Thompson".

Cignal is gearing to expand in Asia and and MMA in the Philippines is rapidly growing. It's an opportune time to see the #2 in the Welterweight rankings, Stephen Thompson in the flesh. He knocked out Johnny Hendricks last February 6, so he's as fresh as it gets. Cignal will be broadcasting more fights on Hyper channel 53. He's loving the reception so far and now that he's in MOA, he hopes to get even closer to his Filipino fans!

They started by revealing Red Dela Cruz, the first Filipina UFC Octagon Girl. A really nice place to start.

Mark Eddiva from Team Lakay also joined in. He's officially the first full blooded Filipino to be in UFC, he hails from Baguio and traveled 6 hours just to be here. He actually is a Wushu gold medalist. Really humble guy too.

Then it was his turn, this is Stephen Thompson!

Stephen Thompson adds "It's not an easy task, you have to find a good gym and feel good about it, when you're confident, and they take care of you, you'll be a good fighter!".

Christian Bautista Swoons Indonesian Fans on Valentines Day

You must be wondering where in the world is Christian Bautista? The good looking balladeer has left the country this season to take his music in a back to back Valentines Concert in Indonesia where the Asia's Romantic Balladeer swooned his fans in that side of the world.

He performed together with Bunga Citra Lestari in a show entitled "Romantic Valentine Concert" at the Coliseum Club in Jakarta, then also performed on Valentines day at Alia Hotel in Solo, Indonesia. He was also busy during this trip as he had to appear in 3 different local television shows that includes Sarah Sechan, NETTV's local version of Ellen Degeneres. He also guested and had an interview with Merry Riana of Sonora FM 92, one of their local stations. In the same week, he also appeared in Trans TV where he gave a glimpse of his career in the Philippines and Indonesia and talked about himself for his countless fans in the region. If you may have remembered, Christian walked for Bench a couple of years ago and have acheived a really good physique, so he also shared a couple of his fitness routines, and diet so they could also learn about it. 

He also guested in the new show of Rossa, a singer-actress from the same country and even sang "Please Be Careful with My Heart" live. Christian gave them a show and included "The Way You Look at Me", "Since I Found You" and "Fixing a Broken Heart" in his repertoir to the delight of his throng of fans in Indonesia. They love Christian as much as we do.
