Cash Back, Coupons, Discounts at ShopBack

Friday, April 08, 2016

I've been on a shopping spree lately in Lazada, Zalora and EBAY because this is the transition into another season. This means, that most of the Fall Winter collection pieces that you've probably seen quite expensive in the past is probably on sale. I'm addicted to shoes, shirts and things that are not usually seen in malls. I'd rather do online shopping because it's very troublesome to go to these establishments since they're a little far from where I live. What's good is that these online merchants deliver everything to your doorstep so you don't have to pay for gas or spend a fortune buying food in restaurants because that's basically what you do inside these malls. I used to shop in the different websites in the past and don't get anything in return, until I discovered ShopBack. Have you heard of them?

The place has got about 500 merchants on their site. It would be a better deal if you're new and this is your first time to register on the shopping websites because they apparently have bigger cash back percentage if you just signed up. Zalora for example gives 12% which is huge if you think about it. If you're an existing Zalora shopper, the cash back amount is around 5% so it really isn't that bad if you're getting high ticket items as you'll get returns. You can enjoy up to 4% cashback from Lazada through ShopBack with just a few clicks. Sometimes, they even give you perks (in form of MORE discounts) on top of the cash back you'll get from Shop Back (unless stated otherwise). So in a nutshell, you're not only getting your money's worth, you're getting money back because of it. You just have to shop the usual way when you're already on their website. You can start and look at all the best deals here.

Once that you've made the payment on their site, your automatically get your cash back will be automatically added onto your Shop Back account. You just have to wait for a few days. Once that you have this amount into redeemable status, you can easily transfer the amount into your local bank account or Paypal. It's that easy. Now you don't have to go to the mall and walk countless hours just to find that perfect shirt, shoe or accessory. You can also save a ton of money now that you've got ShopBack added to your regular online shopping regimen. I can't wait to have my shoes delivered in a few days and the cash I earned back just because I did ShopBack! Get discounts and cashback through ShopBack now!

This is Jeff's MAXI-PEEL Journey

Thursday, April 07, 2016

"I wanted to be an actress but you can see why I'm not suceeding. I have pimples, I have breakouts. Even if I put a ton of makeup and concealers, it doesn't work. I often don't go to gosees because I know they'll only get the smooth skinned ones. I only have 2 choices now, if it works, or not. Hopefully it'll work!"

This is Jeff, yes she's a girl, a young woman with a dream. Maxi Peel went to her to help her. They know she's driven but not at the peak of her confidence because of her skin problem. There are a lot of people out there, men and women, who want to take brave steps but couldn't do it because of the pimples. Her pimples were true, she didn't have makeup, she tried almost all of them and didn't get it solved. Her dermatologist told her the bad news, it wasn't just pimples, it was acne. She did get bullied a lot, even online saying that she's being used. She said they don't know the struggle, but mentions she wants to take the risk and do this with Maxi peel so she could solve it. This is her story.

According to the MAXI PEEL executives, this is still a home remedy and is only suggested to be used for only 2 months. Yes, it is kinda painful but now she's going to get rewarded.

Marian Rivera Dantes has been with MAXI PEEL for 8 years and she's a regular user which people she worked with can attest to. Jeff is her biggest fan so she showed up today to share her experience. This is Jeff's journey, but it is also the journey of other men and women who are in dire situations like her. So if you've got problems like her, maybe MAXI PEEL can help!

PLDT, Sun and Smart #ChangingLives

This small table in the front of our foyer was always the place where we put our PLDT phone. We started by having a 6 digit phone number, then got a 7 digit one later a few years after that. It kinda reminded me how simple life was, but you had to memorize the most important people in your life including their phone numbers. It wasn't like these days where everything is digital and everything is in your cellphone's phone book. If your phone's battery runs out, you kinda go blind. Still, I remember the relationships, the long hours of putting this handset on your ear hearing your loved one utter romance or sermons to which have forged who we are today. I know I'm not alone. I know there are countless people out there who have the same experience as I did and I'm glad that even in this day and age, we still want to be connected.

These days, I have about 5 smartphones and lines used for different social media accounts I handle. I have one Sun Prepaid line, 3 who's in Smart Prepaid and 1 Smart Postpaid line. I also have other phones I use for other social media services but are only on WIFI, I leave them at home since I also have PLDT DSL. I have a brother in Europe and it would have left us in shambles if we didn't get to see or hear him regularly via Skype. I also had to do this with my Mom and Dad too. I would have been distraught missing them if I didn't have internet at home or my mobile handsets. Life would have been unbearable, and extra difficult. If you see the connection, you know I'm not alone. There are about a tenth of our country's population out there, tons of families left here. If they didn't have the DSL or mobile data connections that they have now, imagine how much families would suffer. I'm glad I'm not part of that statistic. I always keep that face to face connection, even if we're thousands of miles apart.

Heck I even had the chance to work at home and outdoors when I want to. It's something I didn't know I could do when I was only in the confines of my cube a couple of years ago. Business is growing, I'm way happier than when I was in the corporate world and I'm living my passion. Ain't nothing better than that! I'm glad PLDT, Sun and Smart is part of it. I'm sure the future is so bright it'll blind us all. They deserve to be thanked for being there, when you need them, where you need them. They changed the lives of Filipinos, and I'm happy they've done just that. You have your stories too right? How did PLDT, SUN and Smart change your lives?

Sandara Park for Penshoppe

Tuesday, April 05, 2016

When news about her arrival in the Philippines was out a few days ago, I was excited to cover because I find Sandara a little quirky than the usual international performer. She might be already in +2NE1 but she never get to be an entitled artist and only answered in Filipino when she was asked during the press conference for Penshoppe. I find her humility attractive, let alone her fashion statement since she's been wearing this brand since high school. She felt that it was serendipity even if she could only afford a few shirts back then and she was so happy that she got to work with the actual brand now.

During the press conference, she wasn't really asked by the press. They kinda filtered the questions and the only ones asked were about her experience going back to the Philippines and not much about parts of her collection. She mentioned though that she's very much a shirt and jeans kind of girl so if it's just a simple day she'd really wear Penshoppe as it is comfy.

She's very funny, in a witty but subtle kind of way. I wanted to ask her about her summer essentials but didn't get picked for the questions, I didn't feel bad though. I must have asked a hard one on paper so they didn't choose mine.

Jeff Bascon, the Brand Director for Penshoppe welcomed the 2NE1 star. He's happy that she's now a part of the brand where he says she's a perfect fit. I completely agree. I didn't get to see the fashion show in Trinoma though, because they wanted us to sit a few rows in the back. I didn't plan to shoot heads of people I don't know as with any other fashion show I've been to (I call that a caste system, which has been phased out in New York Fashion Week ages ago) and the stage wasn't even raised so how can I shoot from there. That's a no-no for me. So I felt bad, really really bad and left before they even started. Anyway, I got decent shots of Sandara during the press conference, so I think this will be sufficient. She wore a white denim number and a shirt inside, looked cute.

Here's part of Sandara's interview where she was asked questions by VJ Chino Lui Pio. Enjoy!

She's happy. Penshoppe is international. I'll probably get over not having to shoot the fashion show, so sorry for not showing you any of the clothes featured there. Maybe if I visit their store I'll have them on Instagram, so again my apologies for not having the freaking runway show covered.

Thanks Penshoppe!
