You're gonna LOV'EM BLOOMS at Ayala Malls!

Monday, April 11, 2016

Flowers make me happy. The variety of colors, the way they look or even smell makes me produce endorphins more than the usual. Last week, we were surprised by Ayala Malls at the center of Greenbelt 5 with a diverse display of Philippine Orchids, ornamental plants to signify the start of summer. They've been the best looking mall chain bar none, but they made an effort this whole month of April to surround us with lush flora, green landscapes and beautiful gardens. Now how's that for fun?!

All these flowers and more will be now seen in Glorietta, Greenbelt, Alabang Town Center, TriNoma, Fairview Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu, Centrio Mall, Ayala Malls Solenad and UP Town Center. This is part of their Lov'Em Blooms campaign to support sustainable green living and they're doing different events to further celebrate this!

You can now sign up for Green Walks so volunteers from Philippine Native Plants Conservation Society Inc. could tell you about native trees, flora, that can be easily found inside Ayala Malls. They'll also be displaying some of the most beautiful orchids this April 16 at the Fairview Terraces, April 23 at Ayala Malls Solenad and May 7th on the Alabang Town Center. They're also promoting arts and crafts workshops on May 7-8 in Alabang Town Center, a photo contest with Ayala Alabang Camera Club plus art activities on May 20-22 in Greenbelt.

Here's a little taste of what's in store!

Oh and for those who are not blessed with a green thumb (like me I think LOL) you can get tips from Joey Quintana and the whole Alabang Garden Club so they can teach you how to get them survive your hands lol. This will be on May 7th then they'll have a Mother's Day activity on May 8th. If you are fond of tea, Greenbelt has an edible garden on those dates so stay with a bunch of amigas and enjoy it like in England. For those who fancy to get the blooms to their own special occasions, the suppliers, local producers, growers florists, designers, stylists, name it, they'll be in Greenbelt from April 15-17, May 6-15 at Ayala Center Cebu, May 7-8 at Alabang Town Center, May 6-8 at Abreeza Ball, May 21-22 in TriNoma, June 3-5 in Glorietta, June 22-26 at Fairview Terraces and June 24-26 at Centrio Mall. You basically have the whole half year to enjoy these flowers, plants and activities because this is Ayala Malls.

They've got more, so just look at their social media pages today and bloom away!

Kathryn Bernardo and the Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation Philippines

Saturday, April 09, 2016

It's Kathryn Bernardo's birthday today and we're gathered here in KFC Quezon Avenue for the Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation Philippines Inc., the organization that Kathryn is helping to fund for the care of craniofacial or cleft patients in the Philippines. NCFPI wishes to run centers with doctors and professionals that would have training and resources for those patients with socio economic needs. The organization is led by Dr. Berbard Uy Tansipek and the board of trustees.

We saw Kathryn cry a lot because she was sp touched about the gesture of the patients that afternoon. They gave her flowers one by one and she couldn't help but be emotional about it. She also encourages her celebrity friends to help if they can. Kathryn actually sets a portion of her endorsment earnings and sponsors a child or two when she gets them. She also takes time to be with the kids if she can and she thanks Star Magic for that opportunity.

They also held a concert last March 13 called Musicale C Cleft to thank NCF Donors and supporters for their valuable contribution to the cause. You may also help by joining in the Complete Cleft Care Advocacy through NCPI. Call them today at 7428748 , visit them at the 2nd floor B Joshua Center 1428 Taft Avenue Manila or email them at ncfp.inc@gmail.com.

The Greenwich Hawaiian Overload Pizza

I was feeling a little down and tired a few days ago. Our doorbell rang and the young rider looked for me when I opened the gate. He handed me this lovely box that contains the new Greenwich Hawaiian Overload Pizza. I couldn't believe my eyes. Imagine the thin crispy crust smothered with fresh tomato based pizza sauce, tangy and sweet pineapple tidbits, slivers of green bell pepper pieces, slices of spiced sweet ham then covered in tons of cheese. Is this heaven?

Hot and fresh out of the oven, this got delivered in less than an 30 minutes. I love the combination of sweet, savory and tangy. It mimics freshness, but doesn't fail to make you full with a couple of bites. This isn't the first time that Greenwich actually evolved their pizzas and I'm really sure this wouldn't be the last. It's pretty much the same Greenwich Hawaiian Pizza goodness but OVERLOADED with ingredients. I want tons of cheese on my pizza, and this just makes it so good. Thanks to our Greenwich Kabarkada!

The next time you feel hungry, and you've got friends and family around you, call 55-555 and have one delivered to your doorstep. It's the best decision I made last week, my friends all agree. Now don't deprive yourself, this is healthy. You'll get a lot of fiber off of the pineapple and additional vitamin C. It's also protein rich since you have ham in it. Need I say more? Remember, friends ALWAYS SHARE the BEST!

Youtube Gaming Now in the Philippines

Friday, April 08, 2016

I've been a gamer since I was a kid and if I tell you what year that was I'd have to kill you. I've been playing 8 bit games these past few weeks and I'm still enjoying it. We've gone leaps and bounds in improvements in this industry especially in PC gaming. With the likes of DOTA 2, Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto, League of Legends, Call of Duty and a lot more, the technology has been so advanced and research how to be better at these games seem to be a lot more difficult. You can't really rely on magazines alone and learn the moves from there because the experience is totally different. Thank the heavens above there's YOUTUBE GAMING!

Youtube Gaming can be found at https://gaming.youtube.com/ and it ain't your usual video channels when you're there. It's a hub for gaming content, it's a community for gamers where you can see up to 25,000 different games in one place. There are also live streams and on demand videos which you can subscribe too as you can create your own page. All your subscriptions on Youtube that has gaming content will all be transferred there as it is a different category which makes sense. You can also get live streaming notifications enabled  on your Youtube Gaming App which is now available in the Google Play Store and the App Store. If you want to know, I just watched the ending of Naruto through a game video uploaded on high definition. They've got more on their app and website.

Now I know it's going to be a little troublesome for people to use their data in streaming video. I'd be a fool if I didn't recommend you to get BIG BYTES 50. Back then they only got you 350MB which was pretty decent at that time, but now that we're into more content they've made it 2x the data so you're getting 700MB if you subscribe PLUS 600MB more on top for Youtube Gaming. All you have to do is text BIG50 to 9999. You'll get more for what you're paying for because it's the BIGGEST network. Anyway, you should weigh your options. Now that Youtube Gaming is here, it's about time you share your lovely games online. There are tons of people who want to see it on Youtube Gaming, upload now with your prepaid line. It's the best deal!
