Derrick Monasterio, Bea Binene and Jak Roberto for GMA's "Hanggang Makita Kang Muli" Set Visit

Tuesday, April 26, 2016

Bea Binene has remained as one of GMA Network's prized actresses. She continues to make top of the line afternoon prime shows that has been receiving great ratings and this one goes the same. The story line of a human who identifies herself as a dog just takes primitive to a whole new level. There are real cases of these and if you can just imagine how Bea has put up her paws just to deliver this role, it would have been really hard. The make up process takes hours and she had to be in it for more. It wasn't the best feeling as she says it was sticky, hot and you could pass out anytime soon if you think about the weather in the Philippines. It was hard at first but she knows the director wouldn't ask her to do it if it wouldn't be part of the script and imagine, Laurice Guillen is telling you what to do. If she finds out you are not prepared and you haven't really memorized your lines, she'd probably go ballistic and let you feel you are the cause of delay when in the shoot. They all said that during the small interviews we had with them.

Here's Bea Binene's interview on video, this is in two parts so make sure you play part 2, enjoy!

Check out how Bea reveals more about Derrick Monasterio and how they bully each other.

Jak Roberto has been able to show his prowess in all the projects that he's been in GMA. He knows he needs to do this in return for all the help that Master Showman German Moreno has given him and countless talents in the industry. He's a product of Walang Tulugan and attributes most of his success to the man who is behind it. I find Jak very fit in dramatic roles and he all seems so natural. I wouldn't be surprised though if he gets casted for sexy ones because just take a look at him, he's one of the most well built guys on screen and he's not afraid to show it. In the show, he plays the role of Elmo, a friend of Calvin and he's admittedly saying that the character is some sort of a rebound but not a contra bida. Take a look at our short interview with Jak during the set visit of HMKM, he also describes his working relationship with the famed director Laurice Guillen and how he's learning a lot from it. Here's the hunky guy in two parts, enjoy!

Jak also has a short message for Sanya Lopez, his sister who landed the role of Danaya in GMA's epic show Encantadia.

The man of the hour, the guy who's possibly being groomed as the next GMA prime actor is no other than Derrick Monasterio. I can feel how GMA is moving earth and the heavens to have him spotted at the best magazines, events, an album, the best shows so he could well be on his way. This is without discounting the fact that Derrick is freaking working hard to achieve this goal. During this interview, you might see him a little uncomfortable, not because he is, but because he's actually working out so much that it hurts when he walks. He's that determined to be the ultimate guy on screen, the one you always dreamed of, and why not give it to the one that does the legwork figuratively and literally. He plays the role of Calvin in the series, the one who took Bea's character in. He's going to tell you what's about to happen to them in the series and would share a couple more things about working with his co stars and Direk Laurice. Bea and Derrick are super close friends in real life, the kind that bully each other and takes it lightly in the end. He's going to discuss how different it is in "Vampire Ang Daddy Ko" and working here.

Here's our interview with Derrick in two parts, make sure you watch both!

Here's Derrick to personally invite you to watch their show!

Hanggang Makita Kang Miuli shows 3:30PM in GMA's Afternoon Prime. Make sure you catch the story early on, so you know where their characters are coming from. Thank you so much to Bea, Jak and Derrick for letting us interview them during their busy shoot. Thank you also to GMA Social Media for connecting us! Hope this isn't the last!

Four Basic Bakery Business Plans

Monday, April 25, 2016

There are a lot of people who are very adept at baking. They are the people who everyone calls when they need a cake for an anniversary, a going away party, or a retirement party. These are the individuals who make doughnuts that everyone could die for. Usually, when a person is good at baking, their friends are trying to encourage them to sell their baked goods for a profit. However, opening a successful bakery is a lot harder than it sounds. However, it can be done successfully with little skill and a little know-how.

When it comes to starting a successful bakery, the plan is everything. The first part of the plan must include deciding the type of bakery to open. In order to do this an individual must look at what their financial goals are with the bakery, what type of items they bake, and how much money they have at their disposal to start their bakery.

Armed with this information, a person will have to decide if they want to start one of the following four types of bakeries:

The first type is a bakery that operates primarily online. The benefit of this is that there is no storefront for the bakery. There is no rental of a bakery space. Starting on online with just a few pictures of the items you have baked on a website is a great way to start and run a bakery from home.

The second bakery option is a customer service bakery. Customers can come up to a bakery window, order what they want, and go about their day. However, this bakery does not have seats for the customers to sit in.

The third option is a specialty service. A specialty service is where you decide that you are only going to make a certain type of baked good, but you make it better than anyone else. These types of businesses can be run from home, or a person may opt to rent the space for their specialty bakery.

The final option is a sit down bakery. This is more complicated and it requires renting or buying baking equipment, including large ovens, bakery trays equipped with bakery casters, tables, chairs, and a whole host of other appliances that are needed to provide drinks and other services to your customers.

Being able to bake delicious food is a gift that not everyone has. This gift can be turned into a awesome business that can have a positive impact on a person’s life. All that it requires is a little fortitude and a good plan.

Is This The End of GMA's #KimKo Loveteam?

Sunday, April 24, 2016

I witnessed a budding relationship back when we first interviewed them for "My Mother's Secret" about a year ago when that show aired on GMA. Thing is, I liked them together, they looked good too and if there's something that we'd want to happen, is that they'd end up together in real life. I was here for an interview for their new show "Hanggang Makita Kang Muli", but was quite surprised about how she reacted when I asked about Kiko Estrada. She balled right in front of us, we felt she was hurt and sad about it. I apologized then for asking about it, but she said she's fine.

Here's our interview with Kim Rodriguez on video:

 Part 1

Part 2 talks about the real score in Kim Rodriguez and Kiko Estrada's relationship.

I guess you know what that means. They now have to concentrate on work, hopefully this isn't the last time you'll see them together.

What I'm actually glad to hear is that, it was real.

Derrick Monasterio Releases New Album

Seeing the physical copy of Derrick Monasterio's self titled album brings back memories. He celebrated his birthday through a charity event a few years back together with his Mom in a small barangay in Quezon City. I remember him telling me during an interview that he wanted to get serious with his singing career while still doing projects for GMA. Derrick has been hoping for this for a long time, and I think fate has brought him here. He has been doing live shows, international ones (remember One Asia?) and even went the mile of guesting several major concerts in the past year and I could say Derrick isn't just a good looking face, he can really sing.

The young man wanted to make a dent in the music industry and brings forth true blue OPM songs as he truly wants this to be something that Filipinos would be able to relate to, get airplay in a regular basis and ultimately be something that people would sing along to when he does mall shows and concerts of his own. When that happens, then he could already say this album is already successful. He wants his music to go out there, and he's glad that GMA Records gave him the chance to do it with a free hand so he could choose songs that he loves. He also got so lucky that master singer songwriter Ogie Alcasid gave him the rights to one of his songs, all free. He's honored to have been able to receive that honor when he's just starting.

Here's the fun interview we had with him a couple of weeks back. He also has duets in the album so you'll never get bored with the variety, you could see he's a little bit nervous and overwhelmed about the whole thing but I assure you he's very happy about how this album turned out.

I am very proud to have been able to witness how his star continues to brightly shine. Obviously he's being groomed to be one of the great leading men in the station. He's bound to be a regular name in your homes, I can't wait for that to happen. He's already doing the leg work, he works out regularly, he's looking gorgeous already and in the next few years, he's going to be up there.
