Wonderful Indonesia Festival and Tulip Chocolates

Yesterday was so much fun during the Wonderful Indonesia Festival which happened in Glorietta's Activity Center. We got a taste of their cultural treats, lovely knickknacks, products, food items and just about everything Indonesian in that small expo. They also got us to try and sample some really good chocolates from Tulip, a premium chocolate brand primarily catering to beverage industries and artisans located in the Asia Pacific Region and the Middle East. The event was officiated by Deputy Chief of Mission - Indonesian Embassy Mr. Ade Petranto and he said the increase in trade between them and the Philippines is just about to get even bigger. We also got to interview Ms. Erna Herlina who's the First Secretary for Economic Affairs at the Indonesian Embassy. These events are part of a long campaign made and designed to promote Indonesia in the Philippines and the rest of the world because they realized that this rising economy has been bitten by the travel bug too, and their proximity to our country was enough reason to offer what they have in the largest archipelago in the world.

This Milk Chocolate Compound has a hint of Vanilla making it perfect for cooking as it's not too sweet, but still has bold flavors. I could see people making fondue or their favorite desserts with it too.

This is the Dark Chocolate Filling, a really gooey chocolate product which you can use with breads or just about anything that needs filling, already made in this form.

The White Compound is basically White Chocolate but European standards makes the use of the word Compound since you can't call this Chocolate as it is made without any cocoa beans.

Our favorite was the Dark Chocolate Compound, we were also given a taste of it via the Chocolate Mousse they prepared that afternoon. Pretty good stuff!

Then we also watched a real deal performance from Indonesians playing their native instruments, singing and dancing during the said event. I like their costumes and movements as it is very intricate!

Tulip gave us pointers on how to cook with their chocolate products, Indonesia has really good Cacao plants hence the local production. You should hoard if you see them as they are nicely priced (only a few hundred bucks per pack!).

They gave us some easy recipes to follow at home. I love the Tulip Cups!

Garuda Indonesia is their flag carrier, they are a partner of Philippine Airlines so if you fly there and need local connecting flights, you should know what to get!

They also invited us on July 30, they've got another event showcasing the food of Indonesia. You should come too!

Are You Ready for "Tunog Star Magic"?

It looks like Star Magic is coming out with their most bankable performers and putting them into their official Youtube channel at Youtube.com/starmagicphils. They'll be doing covers and collaborations with existing Star Magic Talents and other recording artists. They'll be performing the best hits and their favorite songs which will entail those who don't have that much TV exposures to be seen on the world wide web, and perhaps get the nod of people who spend most of their time online. 

Recently, Tunog Star Magic has already featured the performances of Bugoy Drilon, Leizel Garcia, Khalil Ramos, Nash Aguas, Alexa Ilacad, Kira Balinger, Heaven Peralejo, Ysabel Ortega, CJ Novato and Kristel Fulgar. Pretty soon, you'll be seeing Star Magic Newbies too to add on their line of songs. 

They are doing this in part of the celebrations of Star Magic's 24th Anniversary. Make sure you watch the launch on July 31 during ASAP on ABSCBN.

Despicable Me Now at Mister Donut!

I don't know about you but I think the cutest thing to have ever been drawn on screen is The Minions, the cute little creatures that have been working so hard to please their master in the movie. Our love and affinity for them doesn't just stop there, I'm sure you have toys, tons of stuff that have Minions on all of them. Today I'm going to tell you about what lovely things Mister Donut has released recently!

Oh yes! It's Despicable Me! All the Minions plus all the characters will be personified and immortalized in no less than super good Mister Donut products. They'll be in those lovely and soft Donuts, plus it's always good to take home those FunPasalubongBox's right? It's not too sweet, perfect for the kids, but they won't run around so much because of sugar rush.... a welcome thing for the parents.

Mister Donut also has that hit brewed coffee, made fresh every day so you, your friends and family could enjoy it inside the store. Might I suggest also some of the croissants that they have because it's huge, can be good to share. There are also some Japanese donuts that's also one of their best sellers, it's so cute as it is also made to look like a flower. There's also Bavarian Donuts which in their case is filled to the brim unlike the others who only have it filled half way. They also do it twice inside so you can get that Bavarian filling each time you do bite!

SMART Launchpad Station Opens This Weekend at SM Megamall

Hey Youtubers! Or people who just watch and upload videos to the website! You see, Smart just partnered up with Youtube and is launching SMART Launchpad. It's definitely not too late to put out content out there so you can broadcast yourself and show your talent. But what about taking it a step further by getting you a chance to win a trip to Los Angeles just by doing 4 easy steps!
