Paulo Avelino for The Unmarried Wife

A story of a woman torn between holding on and letting go. Is it hard to forgive the one who hurts you over and over? How is trust gained back? Is it worth it to find someone else to love you? How does a married woman become an unmarried woman? Those are the questions that this movie wants to answer. Star Cinema presents THE UNMARRIED WIFE. This stars Dingdong Dantes, Paulo Avelino and Angelica Panganiban and is directed by Maryo J. Delos Reyes, written by Vanessa Valdez. 

Talking to Paulo Avelino, he says "In a way if you are happy with your wife, why would you look for temptation? It can be the fault of the other party too. How do you free someone from their past? Legalities, there is a saying that time heals but the best thing is to make them feel happy all the time. That perhaps is close to what I probably personally believe in, hopefully in the end, it would just take time. As per Bryan, he sees this broken woman smiling, so there is something wrong with her and that makes Bryan more fascinated and did the best thing to make her happy. I don't think it's a sickness, but you can forgive, Ann also has to understand why he did it again. I wouldn't call it cheating, but I always believe a vow is a vow. It's forever. You see a lot of people getting separated but I believe marriage can work things out to make it exciting. It's repetitive and sometimes it's boring, but you have to make a way to break a routine. In most of my relationships I always held on, even of the girl doesn't want it, even if they let me go."

Gillette Mach 3 10vs1 Battles at Eastwood City

Gillette just got us to experience their best shaver yet, the Gillette Mach 3 which they say has the better edge than your current one. The call is, 10 versus 1 which means they promise that this particular model is BETTER than a new disposable even if you have used this 10 times. A tall order but I've seen it, and they tested it on people right there on Eastwood Mall's atrium!

They also battled it out with PBA player Japeth Aguilar and cool video blogger Wil Dasovich on booths that were opened to the public later on in the afternoon. It was cool to see the guys enjoy the basketball games and also the shaving services provided by John Barbers (a local barber establishment). 10 vs 1 might have looked a little too far but these guys all enjoyed the experience of using the Gillette Mach 3, why suffer knicks and bumps in the first place right?

Dennis Trillo's Greatest Form In New Movie

You love him, I know. With good reason too. Dennis Trillo is not just a great actor, he's one heck of a person. He's starring in this pseudo romantic comedy film called "Bakit Lahat Ng Gwapo Mag Boyfriend?"(Why Do Goodlooking Men Have Boyfriends?) and we got to watch it through a private screening with our friends from Team Dennis Trillo. 

The movie talks about a guy who they thought was gay, where two friends tried to find out in different ways if he really was. Anne Curtis tells the narrative much like Sarah Jessica Parker would do it, sans the New York scene. Some may say she's not, but I think she's funny enough. Her connection to Dennis started when her gay business partner had to arrange a meeting with him, not knowing if it was for a second chance at love or just a coming out story waiting to happen. Gay guy played by Paolo Ballesteros unfortunately didn't get what he wanted and end up doing favors for him more. You have to watch the movie to find out why.

The thing my friends and I noticed on this film though is not just the funny scenes, or the story, but probably the finest form of Dennis Trillo ever caught on screen bar none. He worked out and prepared for this role as one of the scenes in the early part of the movie needs it. You must watch it for that alone. 

"Bakit Lahat Ng Gwapo Mag Boyfriend?"(Why Do Goodlooking Men Have Boyfriends?) is still showing on theaters nationwide. The film is Directed by Jun Lana, same guy who did award winning Die Beautiful. Here's a short interview I did with Dennis before the private screening, please enjoy!

Burger King Launches New Chicken Fries!

You must have seen those chick like photos with quirky faces on them in public buses recently. You must have been wondering what was it for and what's it all about, but I guess the secret is out!

Our well loved flame grilled burger brand Burger King just came out with the best compromise with fries and chicken lovers, they properly call it BURGER KING CHICKEN FRIES! It was unveiled in really crazy ceremonies at the Burger King Connecticut branch as they served this to guests in super cute chick containers! They also provided extra stickers so people could personalize their boxes making each one extra cute! 

They dubbed this event as the CUTECON or Cute Convention, I guess you all know why. They've set up instagram worthy barns, chicks and boxes so you can put yourselves inside. It was too cute!

The event was also hosted by real CUTE couple Sam YG and Joyce Pring. Aside from their hugs and kisses, people were asked to join two games like "Pin the beak on the Chicken" (no donkeys were harmed during this show) and the "Chicken Fries Dance Off!". It didn't matter if people were in formal wear or just plain tees, as long as they can dance (or maybe not) they still had to do it in front of the crowd! It was hilarious!

These lovely Burger King Chicken Fries are huge chicken strips dredged in flour and seasoning, lightly fried til golden and can be dipped in three different sauces. You can have it with my favorite Barbecue Dip if you dig something smoky and savory. Or you can also have it with Maple Syrup, you might think it's an odd pair but they're doing it in North America for ages, and the Honey Mustard for those who want it sweet and tangy in every bite. You will get these Chicken fries in cute chick boxes that you can play with after the meal. 

Are you craving for something to eat this holiday? I know, I will probably order one right now. Oh and remember, this is only available for a limited time only. So when you're out driving, pass by a Burger King branch near you. I'll be going to the Timog Branch now!
