"I am so happy to have been able to find Ronnie and Joshua, being paired with them was really worthwhile. I didn't want to give up and I think that word is not in my vocabulary. Ronnie is easy to work with. He doesn't complain and he brings out the 19 year old in me. In the series, I would probably often ask why, to my Mom and Dad, and why we had to suffer with their breakup. Words can't cure the situation. Just the presence, I think that would do a lot in their case and I would advise the kids to do that to their parents. I feel Ronnie is like the Julia thay is misunderstood in the past. He's very humble and he's different than what I experienced in real life. I was really glad that Joshua had nice things to say about me too, I felt it and it was genuine. I love flowers but I'd rather start with a good conversation. The show is real, authentic, relateable, and I hope people would watch it. I wish our trio would work in other projects, and another one that we could all star in. I feel like if we had to choose about somebody to pretend with or with someone real, we know how we would choose how it ends." says Julia Barretto.

"I think maintaining love is about is by being honest. I enjoy being with Julia during taping, she's easy to be with and I just needed an ice breaker to break the tension. I joked a lot with her and I think that worked. I thought she was not going to be pleasant to be with but she's actually very jologs and we're the same. I relate to my character because I work and strive hard for my family. The last time I felt kilig was when I performed with Erich Gonzales during my concert. Our pairing in this program is not like my concert which was a little sexy and romantic but more of a lighter, not best of friends at first, then maybe if there is a pairing, it won't be intended. People say a lot of positive or negative things, I'm just new at this and I know I could improve. I'm happy I did my job, I'll accept if I would be offered to work on an entry again. I would think I can just sleep if this becomes successful. I also hope we get a series of our own and perhaps with Joshua too." -Ronnie Alonte

An Evening at AFTERS in Tomas Morato

This evening we're at AFTERS. It's an espresso and dessert place at Tomas Morato in Quezon City. I've been here a couple of times because of it's proximity in my place and this is a lot cooler than the usual run of the mill coffee shops you go to. I like how it's not too crowded, very cozy, even have smoking areas outside. The place could fit around 60, a bit more if there's more chairs.

We had a small chat with owner Vincent Lim Fideles to get his vision for the place. He's got some plans lined up especially for his Gelato line. It's properly called afters and he plans to make this available for the local and international market. Listen in!

Got some of their best sellers, one that I like is this Pesto pasta. It's on the herby side, I like the soft bitterness, not too salty and if you perhaps like it that way, just ask for extra parmesan and they'd gladly let you have it. Pesto is my comfort food and this is unique.

This one is their Carbonara. Pretty good, light and creamy. The best part is, the bacon, how can we not love bacon? Kids would love this for sure.

This is their ALL MEAT PLATTER. If you adore breakfast-all-day menus and want something rich in protein, you can defintely declare this as your first meal of the day. With Bacon, Ham Steak and Hungarian sausage, this is a good day bound to become even better. Honey Mustard and Ketchup on the side so you can have it sweet and tangy. Best eaten when hot!

They have paninis, and this one is good. It's SPICY HUNGARIAN and I like how you still get that bite on the actual sausage. They toast this on a press and has a light dressing inside. If you're out for a light meal, this would be a great alternative to your usual rice meals. Had me asking for that sausage more.

For dessert, the place is known for their Gelato. With the expertise Vince has had in the US and his passion for desserts, he's in the works to launch his line of afters Gelato that he's going to make available in major supermarkets, groceries in the country. We had a taste of the Belgian Chocolate, Pistachio and my favorite SALTED CARAMEL. Make sure you don't leave the place without it!

AFTERS is located at Tomas Morato corner Scout Castor in Quezon City. They're open from 11AM to 1AM.

GMA Launches New Game Show People vs the Stars

It was a little packed during the press conference of Iya Villana and Drew Arellano's new show People VS Stars. Now just like you I was a little dumbfounded about what this game show is all about but they explained to us that this is a new concept so we have to see how they would play with celebrities first, I think they've taped a few shows already including Alden Richards, Kristoffer Martin, Derrick Monasterio, Rhian Ramos, Carla Abellana and more, which you can't wait to see right?

There are a set of questions on their board and each corresponds to a prize. The stars will have to answer these questions to win that amount and the people have the chance to win it too by texting keywords, (which includes the answer, name and address) which they hope would be simple enough for people to actually do it in their own homes. Yes, it's not just in the studios because they want YOU to win it too!

Super simple questions but you need to understand it fully before you make your final answer. It kinda takes a genius because most of these are really trick questions. Show will start on January 15, 2017 at 5PM.

Now make sure you don't give away the answers because if the celebrities don't win it, YOU will!
