Make it Sweeter with M&M's this Valentines Day!

Friday, February 03, 2017

I just saw this on the shelves of SM while I was shopping. Now I think this would be a good thing to have this Valentines day. But what would make it special? Perhaps getting some people do it for you? Yeah, that would probably be a GREAT idea!

You see they have just recently launched a contest called #MMSFUNFIRSTMOVE over at the M&M's Philippines Facebook page. If you join this thing, they can hook you up with sexy actress Sam Pinto, Azkals guy Misagh Bahadoran, influencers Mark Agas and Kara Gozali and get you that first move you always wanted to do for that special girl. You may watch this video over at their channel and see how it works! (https://www.facebook.com/mmsPhilippines/videos/1242582902501851/

I suggest you go to the malls, supermarkets and stores where they sell these sweet hearts and add it to your flowers this Valentines day. Who knows, you might get more than what you bargained for and have that special moment with her leveled up!

Pioneer Declares #MoveOnLang Songwriting Winners

Thursday, February 02, 2017

I like what Pioneer is doing particularly the #MoveOnLang songwriting competition who just held their finals night at Hard Rock Cafe in Makati City. Together with the Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (FILSCAP), One Music PH and Pioneer Professional Sales Agency, they sought to find the best song among 150 submissions from different schools, colleges and universities as they vie for the grand prize of Php 100,000. They will also have the chance to win Php 50,000 and Php 30,000 if they land 1st and 2nd runner up in this competition. Judges include Joy Mesina of OneMusicPH, Noel Cabangon and Rico Blanco of FILSCAP, Pioneer Retail Organizational Head Lorenzo Chan Jr. and prolific songwriter Nonoy Tan.

They have already declared winners for the Online Favorite and it was Julia Dichoso who composed "Hand in Hand" who got 44.96% of the votes. Drei Chua of San Beda College Alabang on the other hand got a special citation for the excellent work he did on the song he composed called "Bangon". They won't get empty handed though because all finalists will get Php10,000 cash plus Php100,000 insurance coverage from the good people from Pioneer.

Songs included were Martsa Ni Martha, Chronosphere, Make It Through, Time, Hand in Hand, Invincible, From Now On, Aking Mundo, The Biggest Lead, Alive and Bangon.

In the end Kenneth won 2nd runner up who did ALIVE, First Runner up is Benjamin Quijano who Did Akin ang Mundo, and the Champion is the one I liked too... Invincible by Yosef Escoto. Congratulations!

Mikael Daez Plays Laser Tag with Fans

I've been shooting this guy since his Penshoppe Denim Lab, Philippine Fashion Week, also Wrangler days and he's one of my favorites because of his chiseled looks, pronounced jawline, which is one thing that's so hard to find in models nowadays. Would you believe it's already been 6 years since he has joined show business? Yeap, 6 years. He's been on different shows, countless TV and print ads, shows he's hosted or programs he's acted in, but it looks like he's not going to show any signs of slowing down. He's been blessed, even more because he's still very driven to improve his craft, learn from this experience and perhaps catch a love bug pretty soon.

It was his birthday last January 6, which we knew he was probably busy. GMA Artist Center, his sponsors and adoring fans wanted to have at least one day of fun with the Kapuso artist.

He says it was actually a regular thing to be with fans as he really tries to do this every year. In some way, he feels celebrations like these are actually things that he does to thank them for all the support they've given him. He's one very humble guy!

He's a good guy, that's why he's blessed. He's also in a new show on GMA which he discusses further on this video. Click play to see our short interview.

Thank you GMA ARTIST CENTER for having us on Mikael's special day! Thank you also FLAWLESS for keeping our skin healthy here. Thank you also to Mikael's Travel Buddy! You know who you are! :)

Martin Nievera & Lani Misalucha in Masquerade the Concert

This February 14 and 15, it's going to be a great time to go out on dates and enjoy Filipino artists in their talented form. So what do we have? Of course Asia's Nightingale Lani Misalucha and the Concert King Martin Nievera. It may sound cliche but I think this season means it's automatic to go to their concerts because they're really good. This will happen in Solaire's Grand Ballroom and perhaps a repeat soon in Cebu Waterfront (I heard!). The Music Director is Louie Ocampo, so you know this is going to be a nice night.

Martin Nievera says "l think I'm sweet, you can ask all the ladies I've been with. By the way, Pops, Ariel, Dayanara and I will be on the same stage after 22 years on February 5 and I'm excited to see her. You'll hear great songs, mashups but not out of this world changes. I kinda hate when people do that. I'll sing for you guys in a bit and hope you'll see a glimpse of what to expect in the concert. Lani has guested in my show, so have I in hers. The songs we've chosen here are things that I wanted to sing with her. You'll hear love songs for the broken hearted, for pretending to be lovers. There are only a few tickets left for the 15th so if you haven't bought one yet, you should! Everyone that comes to our show usually have a mask but we want to take that out with our music, it's time for realness and it's going to be in the lyrics of our songs. You can come as you are. I don't want to unmask my girlfriend because I want her free from the judging eyes of people, I also want to keep it private. She's there, she's always behind me and that to me is great.

Lani Misalucha adds "When in the US we feel like domestic helpers because we do things ourselves. It's pretty hard to do that while traveling and it took me a lot of hours to get here from Las Vegas (she does shows there). We want people to be confortable and have them enjoy that evening. Martin is a gentleman, he would open the door for you, give you his jacket, that's how sexy he is. We always ask ourselves what do people want since they spend a lot, dressing up for the show. We are so happy about the music industry now that we've sold out our first day. But the most heartwarming is to know that this happens this late in our career. To be in a venue like Solaire and people go, we must be doing something right for people to sponsor and produce us. It's very humbling. We are primarily singers, I'm glad we exist in social media. The mileage we get from there is huge, we don't have regrets and we don't alienate ourselves in any platform so we don't miss the bus. I hope people would want to see us more in this concert which we plan to tour elsewhere in the world."

They would like to thank PLDT, Solaire, Belo, Zim, Pest Off, Waterfront Hotel for taking part in their concert. Tickets available in SM Tickets and Star Media. Just Google it!
