The Epson Story: Helping Businesses Be Future Ready

Wednesday, February 08, 2017

It's a wonderful morning at Marco Polo Ortigas for the Epson Solutions and Technology Convention 2017. It's Epson's way of giving back to the people who have kept their business booming, making them aware of Epson products and solutions and in turn help local businesses be future ready.

Queueing is fast because they have it on wall mounts and tablets integrated.

Tons of printers to choose from for easy printing/ on the go.

They also have wearables, pretty sick.

Marketing people, easy printing materials in these huge printers. I'm sure this is enterprise level.

Printing management, people who print in the office for personal use won't be doing it anymore or minimize it because it can be done in one software. It manages the whole line of office printers, manages inks, and keeps costs down.

For logistics, they have these label printers that can do barcodes, helps organize in a warehouse or business setting.

For training, they have these projectors that you can write on. It would be a cinch to take notes, efficient but I think it's expensive.

Now they're known for their excellent printer line but they've got more tricks up their sleeve because they've got a wide variety of products across print, projection, label and even smart glasses for enterprise. Actually, they have more in the pipeline so they invited guests, partners, resellers, media and select customers who would really benefit from the event.

Cris Sanchez, the Sales Division Head of Epson Philippines said "We have always been about creating inspirational technology for a better future. We have always been a part of developments in the changing needs of customers. We have innovative products that always exceed expectations that will drive more savings, improve processes so businesses get gains in productivity. We'll be showing Moverio Smart Glasses, Epson's Interactive Projectors, Large Format Printers and a lot more. We want Filipino business owners to pursue a global approach that will help them compete and flourish in this day and age where there's a lot of competition from local and foreign providers. If you have questions about our solutions (for local businesses), you may email Sheinne Padilla of Epson Philippines at sheinnep@epc.epson.com.ph"

It's so nice to see them dedicate themselves in high, cutting edge technologies that employ Japanese engineering for printing, visual communications, wearables and robotics. Congratulations Epson Philippines! Keep striving for more!

Dingdong Dantes Hosts New Show CASE SOLVED

Tuesday, February 07, 2017

We are at the press conference of Dingdong Dantes' new show called CASE SOLVED which will premier on February 18, 2017 right after Eat Bulaga. They claim that each episode will be landmark cases, mostly those of who have been referred to in real life cases and convince viewers that if you are a simple citizen, you will get justice because you'll know how to get in and out of the justice system, more so if you are victims of crime no matter what economic status.

Dingdong says "These stories show how families are affected and how actual stories were solved. These are different Filipinos, to see how we could educate people about new technologies like forensic DNA, see how prosecution would be able to solve cases even if it's already a few years after. It's an honor for me, to be in this show so I get to talk to experts to see how justice is served and how people were able to get it. This is going to be shown right after Eat Bulaga, and will keep people from being victims of crime by learning about their rights, and about real people who have underwent these crisis. This is a serious show in subject matter and I'm glad GMA trusts me to host it after a long time (his last being Starstruck). We will show a LOT, the story, the interpretation of experts and the complete circle of informing viewers in these stories. As a citizen, I know it's not just me, but everyone involved should make this as accurate as possible. I think this is one way of educating people with stories in the past that have clear resolutions. This is to empower to know what their rights are and know where to go, what agency to get help from. Hopefully to help individuals understand the law, the justice system more. We're going to see how it could work for the masses."

Make sure you stay tuned on GMA after Eat Bulaga and see some of the most celebrated cases in Philippine justice history, as soon as Eat Bulaga ends!

Valentines Day at Palazzo Verde

I have seen this place when I was in Las Pinas a couple of weeks ago, I thought it was a Church. It's called Palazzo Verde and as a treat to lovers this Valentines Day, they will hold a Valentine’s dinner show on February 14, 7 p.m.
Don't have plans yet this Valentines day? Well if you're not much of a planner, take her to Palazzo Verde this February 14 and get her a nice fancy dinner, plus a great concert courtesy of our friends Chef Rolando, Chef Jackie Laudico, and the talented Markki Stroem. This place looks lovely in person, I have passed by this property a number of times and didn't know it was actually a venue for events. It's not just a building, but it's a 2.3 hectare land full of lush, vibrant gardens. Looks pretty cool, and very classy!

Some of my favorite chefs Rolando and Jackie Laudico will prepare a delicious five-course set menu plus some really beautiful music by good looking crooner Markki Stroem.
What I also like about the two Chefs is that they don't cook with MSG, you'll get flavors by having them slave away in the kitchen and do everything from scratch. They've done countless restaurants already, and this is just one of their many gigs. Rest assured, they're going to give you more than dinner, it's an experience!

To reserve a table on this Valentines dinner show, contact (0917) 870 3838 or email them at info@palazzoverde.com.ph.

Paulo Avelino for "I'm Drunk, I Love You!"

"This is not Heneral Luna, or Sunday Beauty Queen, but if this will be shown on Cinemas, you'll be surprised. We are also featuring Jimmy Bondoc, Parokya Ni Edgar, some spoken word artists. Myx gave us a premier yesterday and you'll also love LLOYDY which is a cover done done by Paulo Avelino himself. This was conceptualized through a drinking session. A lady here once said those exact words, and we asked permission. The hardest to shoot were the car scenes, and we all have bumpy roads. We also used an old car and La Union weather was crazy. We never want to be compared because the plot might be common but we attacked it differently. It's a bestfriend being in love with their bestfriend but this is entirely different from the usual romcom. LLOYDY was genius when I heard the original from my orgmate and I wanted to use it in a song. I also wanted to do it with him, and Maja was good enough to tell John Lloyd Cruz about what we were trying to do. We are also trying to experiment about the ending because it may or may not be them ending up together. It's my first full length film and I want something that would instill something funny even if it isn't, and something that would make you think. We also write scripts that would happen NOW, using songs and artists that a millennial would like." says Director JP Habac.

Paulo Avelino added "I just recommended Maja and they had her here. Aside from her being a really great actress, I haven't really worked with her on the big screen. I just really wanted to do it here because it's different on TV. Here it's more natural, not enhanced, it's as organic as it gets. Sensual, nothing more than that. We're rated PG. Dio is a frustrated film maker and he's in a dilemma to pursue directing or continue to study. This is a road trip to settle all their problems. Maja and I have songs in the film, we also have a duet, it's like passion and we get free beer in the process. This isn't my first time to portray a character like this but the story is different and I'm singing different songs, all OPM and we put importance in that. John Lloyd is so cool, it was fast and we just did a cover of that. We all look for people who would tell us they love us, whether it's a friendly thing or romantic it's a good feeling. I do films not because they are acting pieces, but this is vital to the script to be there. I just want to be the one who does something new."

I am so glad that there are films like these and do things that have passion, the concept is there and TBA made it real. It's nice to have a venue to let them do it with how they want to do it.

This film will be shown on February 15 and it's something new for the Filipinos. They deserve the best and it doesn't matter if there are gigantic companies that would be on the same play date. They will however have a 20 minute pre-movie that will connect Heneral Luna to Goyong so if you are a fan of that series, you should not miss this movie from TBA Entertainment.
