James Wright is Just Wright

Monday, March 06, 2017

He's one of the most down to earth guys in GMA Records' stable and without a doubt, James Wright has been doing the legwork for his career going to different parts of the country and introducing himself and his brand of music. He's done so well that it calls for a second album under GMA Records and from the looks of it, this is bound to be another successful one.

The 12 tracks are handpicked by him and the people over at GMA Records and it is composed of a pretty good mix of original OPM songs which can be bought on digital stores world wide.  Genre? Well James said this is a little more varied than the usual. So if you want to hear him do other stuff aside from ballads that he has been known for, this is the opportune time to do it. You will also be hearing most of these songs in his gigs nationwide once he commences doing his tours plus some guestings in GMA and radio stations nationwide. The tracks include Ibig Bang Sabihin, Lahat Ng Aking Pag-Ibig, , Open Up, My Destiny My Love (The Star theme), Mahal Na Nga Kita, Please Come Back, Ibig Bang Sabihin (Backing Track), Lahat Ng Aking Pag-Ibig (Backing Track), Open Up, My Destiny My Love (The Star theme), Mahal Na Nga Kita and Please Come Back.

We also got to talk to him through a simple luncheon arranged by the good people of GMA Records and GMA Social Media. Listen in.

So if you like what you're seeing, hearing and everything else from James Wright, please make sure you grab a copy in record bars, digital stores world wide! He sounds so good, you can bet your alien love story! James Wright is even more than Just Wright.

Osaka Osho Outs New Menu

My sincere apologies for not publishing this sooner as I just saw this on my drafts today. I made this around a month ago but I'm sure you'll be glad to know that Osaka Osho is expanding their menu. Apart from their super good Gyoza, innovation is on their bloodline so this is but a welcome thing. They constantly want to outdo themselves and I felt that's exactly why they are doing this, off of their success in the Bacon and Cheese Gyoza which they introduced a few months back.

Matcha Butter Tonkatsu

This is the Matcha Butter Tonkatsu. This would be a dream for Matcha lovers, if you love gooey sauce coming out of the chicken Tonkatsu slice, that's exactly what you'll get. The chicken cutlet also tastes so good with the Tonkatsu sasuce served on the plate and a heaping cup of white rice. It's fusion, American, Japanese, Filipino, all in one.

Salmon Cheese Aburi
Deep fried Salmon Cheese Aburi could be good to start the meal. It's much like an appetizer or finger food. I actually like this one a lot.

Truffle Gyoza
For the love of gawd and everything Gyoza, I love Truffle. I like it on pasta, I like it on Cheese dishes, but putting it on Truffle is just something else. It's like a miracle waiting to happen and when you have it in your mouth, you just question yourself why you didn't do this in the first place. It wasn't just good, the Truffle Gyoza was heavenly!

Gyoza Tiantianmien
Another thing to have this rainy weather. Super good.

Black Pepper Gyudon
I was already trying not to eat rice but this Black Pepper Gyudon deserves my attention. It's a little spicy, and full of that black pepper goodness in each spoonful. The caramelized onions, the white rice just complements it all.

Nori Nachos
I thought this wasn't going to work, but actually, it did. The deep sea flavor in the Nori Wrapper, the crunchiness, the sauce, the mayo makes this one of the surprising items on the menu.

Chori Gyoza

Surprisingly, this is a little Spanish. The Chori Gyoza wreaks of the smoky Spanish chorizo with the special Gyoza meat Osaka Osho serves on a normal day. I think this is done to pay homage to that Chori Burger known made in Boracay, an island off the Visayas Region. You must order this!

Japanese Paella
Almost the same ingredients but with miso. It's Japanese and Spanish in the mix. Hearty and perfect for the cold weather, you can have this Japanese Paella for lunch or dinner. It'll make you warm, fuzzy and totally full.

Chicken Enokiyaki
As the name suggests, this is Chicken wrapped around Mushrooms. It's got a sweet, soy based sauce that could get you hugging the bowl of white rice a couple of times that's also perfect for kids. If you're guilty of the Bacon version, this one should get you your protein fix and Japanese flair in one dish.

Osaka Osho has got branches at the 3rd Floor of SM Mega Fashion Hall, Basement of SM The Block and Greenhills Promenade. Try it today if you can!

Annam by Namnam Noode Bar Singapore Opens 2nd Branch in RWM

One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Manila just opened their 2nd branch at Newport Mall in Resorts World Manila. People will like the Pho's, the different kind of Banh Mi's and some new items on the menu. Known for the quality and freshness of their food, Annam takes this opportunity to grow their market and take this part of the south by storm. We loved their Pho's in Eastwood and they are serving the same in this joint, but they informed me that they have changed a lot on their menu lately to cater to a more Filipino palate.

Executives of Annam and Resorts World Manila were all there to welcome the press and a couple of patrons. Mind you, the price of their food have not changed even in this location. They have deemed it important to make the food affordable despite the high quality ingredients they put to it.

The place can sit around 80-100 people in laid back well upholstered oriental wrought iron chairs and a couple of bunk chairs in the middle. Service is okay, they were a little overwhelmed at first but it'll probably be normal on normal days. They are situated right beside the fountain area and right outside the east play area entrance. So if you get hungry, you know where to go.

They knew how Filipinos wouldn't make just noodles to sufficiently be called as lunch or dinner, so they whipped up fragrant rice dishes too. This is patterned to Corm Tam or Broken Rice in their language and I like the Turmeric Chicken and Pork variant because it's got that gingery spice kick which you can enjoy with shrimp paste. Make sure you get a little bit of everything on the spoon before you chow down.

They also spruced up the Banh Mi on the menu which includes the lovely Salmon, made with fresh ingredients of course! I take out the flat leaf parsley, (because I'm no cilantro guy), but it still is surprisingly good even without it. The crusty bread, the liver pate, it was just perfection. So make sure to choose your favorite meat ingredients because they do it quite nicely.

They also have this Pomelo Salad. I would order this if I had more space in my stomach. It's so fresh and crunchy!

This is like their Bao, made with pork, sweet and savory.

Pork and Shrimp, which you can order so it arrives first as an appetizer.

Oh and if you have the urge to have something refreshing, they've got a line of drinks for you. I like the lychee and lime combination but the other people on my table wanted the ones with red bean on it and raved about it too.

If you're around Resorts World Manila and want simple fresh meals, make sure you drop by Newport Mall and get your Pho and Banh Mi fix from Annam by Namnam Noodle Bar of Singapore. It's good, it's fresh and doesn't cost that much compared with other restaurants in RWM. You just have to go.

Wrangler Outs 2017 Collection with True Wanderer Jericho Rosales

Sunday, March 05, 2017

Set in the center of Trinoma Mall Activity Center, they put up a three level stage for the WRANGLER 2017 collection. It was massive, which made me realize they're doing a runway show and perhaps some tricks with the big bikes that were on display that afternoon.

Clothes were composed of denim like fabric for the shirts, a little acid washed, some plaid, leather and a few jackets.

There are also several activities in the venue including VR games and small promos.

I specifically like this jacket and I'm going back to the store to get this. If it looks good on the model, it will look good on me haha!

There were several motorcycles on display and it probably would mean someone is going to use it. Your guess is as good as mine.
