Smart Giga Movies Screening of Alien: Covenant

I almost missed this movie because of the usual traffic and rain in EDSA, but I was so glad I got to see it via SMARTGIGAMOVIES. Being a Smart Postpaid Subscriber, I'm quite spoiled with perks and stuff that other networks couldn't do. I like how they hook up ordinary people like me to watch Alien: Covenant for free just because I am a Smart Subscriber. Not only that, because they are also getting tons of other people who follow their Facebook, IG and Twitter accounts the chance to win tickets too, then further spoil them as well on the movie day by getting them prizes from the film outfit. Do you remember the time I did during the Furious 8 screening? I still have that collectors item on my desk, where everybody envies it! Haha!

The movie is great, lots of people died in the end and it'll surely get you all in the edge of your seats while they are being chased everywhere. Kinda predictable ending, but still worth the watch since this is somewhat a continuation of that 2012 movie.

Your Next Wedding, Debut and Events Destination: Eugenio Lopez Center in Antipolo

We journeyed to the East of Metro Manila today and got ourselves immersed in a great sprawling property managed by First Philippine Realty Corporation. The Eugenio Lopez Center was initially an unfinished retirement home of Don Eugenio Lopez built way back in the 60's but was stopped during the Martial Law years when Eugenio Jr. (Geny) got imprisoned and they had to fled to the US to avoid persecution. 

This place has a lot of history and there were talks on what to actually do with it when they came back in 1986. The ELC was finished after a couple of years after and has hosted tons of events of corporations under the Lopez Group of Companies. Since then, they held several trainings, weddings, banquets and has been managed and operated by 10-50 people, depending on the requirements of staff. Today, they seem to be opening up their doors for more functions even if they don't belong to affiliated corporations, a thing that I find would be good because this property definitely needs to be seen by the public. 

This is the Eugenio Lopez Center Building, situated at the top of a hill, this two floor events center can host a party for around 200-250 people. They can accomodate catering services from outside and can recommend ones that already know the property.

It's got a 180 degree view overlooking Makati, BGC, Ortigas and Quezon City which you'll absolutely love.

They have theee levels and it houses about 38 rooms where guests can stay overnight. This Executive Room costs Php 5,500 per night and you can add more per person if you are expecting more people to be with you during your trip.

The De Luxe room can fit 2 people, and costs Php 4,400. It's got a veranda where you can also have that same view of the city. They are fully booked most of the time so make sure you call ahead if you need to stay. 

This is only one room and can entertain people with their own receiving area which opens up to a veranda too. This is called the Premier Suite and costs Php 8,500. They can have this fit 5 people if necessary, just let them know beforehand. There is also a door connecting to another De Luxe Room which you can book separately if you are too clingy.

They have 3 lecture rooms available which can accomodate 50 people each, you can also have this combined for a total of 150.

They also have a mini theater which can seat around 60-70 people, which is perfect for small screenings or symposiums.

If you wanna have it more private, they have 4 separate Meeting Rooms to do your business in, well not that kond of business. This costs Php 7,500 which can fit about 10-20 people.

I don't even have to tell you how majestic this is. Just beyond those trees is the same view of Ortigas, Makati and BGC so you're pretty much going to see that while you're swimming. This is a perfect way to relax from the busy city. It's free for guests and your lovely kids. Shall we take a dip?

They also have a Gym and Activity area, a working spa, Massage Room, Sauna and Steam Room. If you would like to get wed here, just bring your own priest and let him officiate the wedding right here while looking at the spectacular view of the city. You can park your helicopter at the helipad if you're that rich too.

Now I know Antipolo must have been not in your go to places if you want a short vacation, but think about the possibilities and things you can do while in this place. They've almost got everything in this 10 hectare property and by the looks of it, it holds a LOT of promise. Where else can you see Batangas and Pampanga on a clear day? Sleepless to be shown on Cine Lokal at SM Cinemas

Heads up to everyone who missed the showing of Sleepless. The Glaiza De Castro and Dominic Roco starrer will be one of the few films who will have a full commercial run at CINE LOKAL which includes 8 Malls, 8 SM Cinemas this May 26, 2017. 

Directed by Prime Cruz and Produced by IdeaFirst Company, they deem it was time to find a playdate and finally show this to the public. They have already seen countless people flock the screenings and it has been consistently sold out. So taking a break from your usual movie watching habit would be a good idea, go indie!

Director Perci Intalan from IdeaFirst Company says "Sleepless was done 2 years ago, thanks to FDCP and SM Cinema for accomodating. It's just difficult to find a playdate and good thing there is Cine Lokal which will be launched this April. 8 SM Cinemas will be showing our film and that's a good thing. It was an entry during QCinema and there's a large cult following. It has also been shown in Osaka."

Glaiza De Castro says "This trailer is not the whole story, you have to watch it to understand the film. Other than being sleepless, there are other parts about Jem that is holding her back and you'll see that in the relationship with TJ Trinidad. Finding a person to talk to when you can't sleep, that's what it is. This is simple, I like this because of the context. It's a love story that is not, it didn't look like work for me because they are my friends too. I always do this with my siblings. One funny scene was in the convenience store, a bit of drama. It looks like we are together but we might be not, and the journey is together with the audience and you'll see that. We have a bed scene, but no love scenes, just talking. As of now I am going to promote my album "Magandang Simulain" 8 songs, 4 originals and all Filipino songs. Pur director is sleepless, Prime did this as his first movie. Now he's in other countries directing films too, he might be a little shy at first but he's already done a lot so we are happy for him. This film would really affect a lot of call center agents that will really relate to this film, I've seen a lot of feedback a couple of years ago telling me how much it has got some similarity with their life. Dom is like my brother, so it's going to be weird if I'd have a relationship with him. This is perfect because it's a different relationship. Every once in a while you have to go away from those characters, thanks to GMA for helping me work that out. We work as hard as we can but take time to rest, pehaps later we will have a concert soon as I'm signed with Polyeast. We will have mall shows to promote this movie and also my album so people should wait for that. Prime was also talking to me but I was actually hooked with Encantadia and I might not have any rest. I'm also happy for Hagorn, he's got an instant job after encantadia."

Dominic Roco adds "It's not a love story but you would want the two to be together. There are just some things that couldn't work because of the situation. I didn't expect to win an award for it so I was shocked when my name was called. Glaiza is the perfect girlfriend, I know her as a person and anybody would be lucky to have someone like her."
