Make Your Dream Events Come True with Hizon's Catering

Wednesday, July 12, 2017

You've always heard about them and think how they've hosted the BIGGEST events, served thousands of people and remain as the country's number one catering service provider. Yes ladies and gentlemen this is Hizon's Catering

Seminars and Conferences

Aside from having partner venues, Hizon's Catering can take care of the food for your seminar/conference attendees.

I specifically like their on the spot Omelette Making Station where you just need to choose all the things you want with your omelette, the doneness, and voila! You've got it on your plate in just a few minutes. This would be good for breakfast meetings and they also serve coffee.

Birthdays

Your kids should definitely have a themed party and Hizon's Catering can do that. The lovely Circus themed layout here was eye candy and I could imagine your kids first or 7th birthday party to be like this served with treats that appeal to them and not just grown up food!

Aside from the nachos and hotdogs, I like the Red Velvet cupcakes they had on display. I promised myself not to have much sweets but how can we say NO to this eh?

Party favors like hats and this Ginormous cake would be a delight for the kids to have. Make sure their sugar rush is handled well afterwards because this is not totally guiltless eh!?

I like pineapple on my Mini Pizza too and perhaps if I request Sweet Filipino Style Spaghetti, Bacon Wrapped Hotdogs, Nachos and different kinds of lemonade, it won't be a problem at all because Hizon's Catering can accomodate things in a jiffy. Less hassle for planners and Mom and Dads who just want to get their kids the best party ever.

Awarding Ceremonies/Events

Imagine having to feed a 1000 or more people in a few hours, including VIP Guests, Celebrities, Influencers and the most celebrated critics in the industry. Hizon's Catering has already handled big ones and don't fret because they're going to make sure FOOD is going to be all good. You can find cheap ones out there but there's really no telling if they can handle it or not, because Hizon's Catering has EXPERIENCE and that's a good thing to consider if you're finding a caterer these days.

They got us to try really good hors d'oeuvres but what was good during this sampling was the delectable desserts. This dessert bar had Vanilla Creme Brulee, Sunken Island, Peach Egg Tarts, Flourless Chocolate Cake and the Mango Vanilla Panacotta.

You can always dream about a dessert and let them customize things for you. The canapes they served had Argentinian Steak, Candied Bacon, Tomato and Basil Confit, which was all good!

The Weddings

Oh and let's not stop there. Hizon's Catering had hosted tons of weddings already and judging by the looks of it, they can cater to small or big budgeted weddings because they can be simple or extravagant in their layouts. I like this one with chargers and intricate flower arrangements.

I specifically like the Peach Mango Salad with Candied Walnuts and Smoked Salmon. I also love everthing with truffle on it so the Truffle Mushroom Soup was a welcome treat.

Their best seller is the Baked Fish Stuffed with Spinach and Tomato, the server was right because I couldn't tell it was just Dory they were serving, pretty good. The Beef Salpicao with Grilled Vegetables and Mashed Potatoes, the Chicken Sambal was good too so I had second servings of that, don't judge!

They also got a very simple wedding cake included, just let them know the theme and they can accommodate it for you. No stress indeed!

Each of these events come with customary SERVICE that is important in every Hizon's Catering package you get. You may get rates and their inclusions over at their official website www.hizonscatering.com or their Facebook Page Facebook.com/hizonscatering and their IG account instagram.com/hizons.catering. You should see why they've been consistently servicing a lot of events in the country. I guess their secret is the hassle free process, the good food and the impeccable service.

It's how your dream event should happen, let Hizon's Catering take care of that.

Bembol Roco Likely To Make You Cry in What Home Feels Like

Tuesday, July 11, 2017

Bembol Roco might be the BIGGEST winner so far in the TOFARM Film Festival as he puts on another entry called "What Home Feels Like" by director Joseph Abello. Last year, he did "Pauwi Na" for this same festival and entered the Paulo Villanueva creation to the 20th Shanghai International Film Festival and it won top prize and lauded for the film's humanism and universality. It was entitled "Pedicab" for it's international release albeit being the only Southeast Asian entry to the fest.

"What Home Feels Like" has already made several film critics post on social media how much they cried over the story as it touches on the stories of OFW's which is common in the Philippines. The country has long been sending workers abroad (in his case an aging seaman) and it has affected families to the point of not being recognized by their own kids. Aside from that, the veteran actor will play a Father who chose to put his entire savings to a farm even though his whole family disagrees with this decision, and continues on to work the soil even if it looks impossible to get return of investments, which brought fear to the lives of his family later on. This situation is quite common in the Philippines and will be properly accorded a story when it shows on TOFARM Film Festival this January 12 to 18 with their theater run at SM Megamall, Greenbelt 1, Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Metro East, Gateway Mall on the mentioned dates.

He will make you cry and treasure your Father more when you watch this masterpiece that also stars Irma Adlawan, and she's another reason why you're eyes would get wet even more.

Support local films, these indie ones during the ToFarm Film Fest and make sure you don't miss another stellar performance by the one and only Bembol Roco. See why he's been lauded in the international award giving bodies and continue to be world class!

McCoy De Leon Stars in "INSTALADO" for TOFARM Film Festival 2017

Monday, July 10, 2017

He's cute, he can dance, he loves Elise and this time, he can act - as the dashing McCoy De Leon stars in this Jason Laxamana film called INSTALADO. This film is the only weird good, or different entry that caught my eye during the reveal of the 6 entries for TOFARM Film Festival. I said that because this one boils on sci-fi, a genre which is very difficult to connect to the festival's theme. They are also tallking about something that is affecting a lot of Filipino farmers, the next generation, their sons and daughters who had been able to attain education but chose different vocations leaving hundreds of agricultural land to waste and aging farmers.

This controversy has span ages and is the reality. Do you know that the average age of our farmers is 60 years old? That's actually also getting higher and if there's no one doing the farming, there will be no one putting food on the table, nobody tilling the soil, and if that's the case, prices will go high, people will go hungry and we have to import food from other countries like China, Thailand because that's the only way we could supply the demand.

The sci-fi part of this movie is how people are educated, instead of going through school and books for years, a chip can be installed in their brain and do the work. Will this be beneficial to the industry? Or will it be just a nail to the coffin? Aside from McCoy De Leon's character Victor, he is also starring here together with Francis Magundayao and Junjun Quintana. This is going to be a very challenging role for McCoy but here's hoping he would be nominated for an acting award here and in other festivals they plan to put this in. It would be super nice though that the fans could support this early on especially during the run of TOFARM Film Festival. This movie will premier on July 12 at SM Megamall, SM Manila, Greenbelt 1, Gateway, Robinsons Galleria and Robinsons Metroeast. Watch Spiderman Homecoming with OPPO Today!

Sunday, July 09, 2017

I just watched Spiderman Homecoming at the 4DX Cinema in BGC Square. Thanks to our friends from OPPO who gave us a treat including food and games before the movie.

The movie is a continuation of the story of this young boy and web slinger who recently participated in the Iron Man vs Capt. America war a couple of months back. Remember the time he stole cap's sheild? His dream was to actually be a full time hero, always waited for that opportune time to help but he wasn't summoned as much as he wanted. He was forced to be the friendly neighborhood spiderman. Now I don't want to spoil the story so if you want to watch it for FREE like I did, you just need to follow the simple instructions over at OPPO Philippines Facebook page so you could earn raffle entries, and treat a friend too (for your plus one!).

Visit http://bit.ly/OPPOSpidey and the winners will be announced on July 12. Only 150 people will win so make sure you join and get your entries in before 11:59pm of July 11!

As for the selfie game, the OPPO F3 Black Edition passed with flying colors!

Thank you Oppo Philippines, it was a super fun night!
