Marian Rivera's Back In Action Fantasy Series SUPER MA'AM

Wednesday, September 13, 2017

Marian Rivera is still the Queen of GMA. She's back and she's not holding back after a long break of bearing super cute daughter Zia with hunk husband Dingdong Dantes. Her entry does come at an opportune time because it's Teacher's Month and what great way to pay homage to our second parents but to do a superhero show that includes her in the title role.

This September 18, you'll be happy to see SUPER MA'AM. The show includes Kapuso stars Andrew Gan, Shyr Valdez, Enrico Cuenca, Ashley Ortega, Jerald Napoles, Joyce Ching, Julius Erasga, Jillian Ward, Helen Gamboa, Kim Domingo, Al Tantay, Jackie Lou Blanco, Kristoffer Martin, Matthias Rhoads, Meg Imperial and Kevin Santos. This ensemble cast will make the life of teacher Minerva interesting as she tries to make the lives of her students better, because she believes they do deserve a better life.

Some of my favorite people in the loveteam world, yes it's Joyce Ching and Kristoffer Martin.

Asia's Fantasy, Kim Domingo, we got to talk to her about the show.

Ms. Helen Gamboa

Marian Rivera for her new project SUPER MA'AM!
Here, she was able to tell us the three SUPER MA'AM's in her life

I was able to talk to some of them after the reveal, so meet the guy from the Jollibee commercial who got the girl. Matthias Rhoads.

He was dubbed as the next Primetime Kapuso Leading Man. He was ecstatic hearing that!

Oh and ladies, meet Enrico Cuenca. He was the guy in the CRUSH episode of the Jollibee commercial. Remember the one that was secretly giving burgers? Exactly!

We got to talk to him too!

Now make sure to watch this next week! It'll be a fun evening of action and fantasy with Marian's show and Dingdong's Alyas Robinhood. Now if only their daughter would star in the next timeslot, that would be a great few hours of family binge watching.

Prepare to be Swooned by New Artist Lance Edward

What to you is success? Is it the high pay, fancy cars, women? It's not all about that.

I met a guy a couple weeks ago named Lance Edward. He's an achiever, accomplished businessman, graduated from Ateneo with a Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship and owns businesses left and right. He's extremely successful by almost any human standards. He would have been contented with his career, but he felt there was something missing. He went ahead and decided that he's not stopping there. He wants to start with his passion... and that's music.

Lance Edward

Lance has been part of an ASEAN based boyband group and he was able to work with Wu Chun of Fahrenheit (who catapulted his career in Taiwan). Yes he had a very successful career in Brunei and Malaysia during those years but he felt quite alone and uninspired, he also was put a bit off because of the language barrier so they barely talk. So he did the smart thing and went back to the Philippines to finish his studies and take part in the business that his family was involved in back then. Now he's done quite well and had put up Flytmed  Manila Corporation. Overall, business is doing good. Still, at the back of his mind, he wanted to put his music out there, to ultimately use his voice to inspire people. Those words, I find it to be but a noble cause.

Lance Edward

Just recently, he was able to put out a cover he did of Tong Hua (transtlation: Fairy Tale) which is a very popular Chinese song. While he wasn't really expecting anything but just singing a made Filipino version of this song, he suddenly found himself and a lot of people watching, sharing the his video on social media and a lot of them took notice. Lance is so thankful about where he is right now and this, might be the start of his biggest break. Pretty soon, you'll be seeing him come out with his own single, album and perhaps music videos. He's also game pursuing acting, he did advanced acting workshops already with Star Magic. I'm sure you'll be seeing his star shine very soon.

We talked to him a bit over dinner. Here's snippets of that.

He also gave us a sample of the song that went viral. Listen in:

 Lance Edward

Make sure you stay tuned with Lance Edward as he's coming out with a single and an album very soon. He's also guesting in ASAP and a couple more shows, concerts too. I can't wait to see that single be used in one or more series for television. It's apt, it's an opportune time for him to go out there and start working on his dreams. Nothing beats a man with a passion, that's exactly who he is.

If you want to know more about Lance Edward, follow him on IG @lance.eeeee or like his Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/lance.edward.eeeee/ because he's very active in those channels. You'll see him soon... and you better be ready!

Matteo Guidicelli Says Hey! At The Kia Theater

I like Matteo Guidicelli's demeanor. He's very humble, very passionate and quite an outstanding actor. Intrigues and bashing may have plagued him, but he remained very loving and doesn't take it against them. He is quite approachable, always had said thanks even if the questions thrown at him were a bit shady. He wasn't afraid to show how sad he was when he is, that takes a lot for a man to do. This time he's going to stage a concert at the Kia Theater, taking his second album and his fans on a short journey. He's proud to tell his story.

Shy Vesaga the concert producer says "Bigbang Productions has already produced his Cebu concert which was sold out to 4000 people. This is Matteo's new sound. It's connected to his new album, we want to establish him as an artist. Proceeds of this concert will go to Share Foundation provides livelihood for the less fortunate, same foundation supported by Boardwalk that makes them do business rather than just dole outs."

Matteo Guidicceli says "We produced the second album called Hey! We are launching it on MOR (later this evening), this album is made by us, my friends, I grew up listening to pop rock and I want to bring it back, the whole 90's band feel. Hey Matteo will try to feature the journey of the album, this whole thing. Direk Ruel told me to have a good mix of OPM's and covers. 9 songs, a lot of originals, though the cebuano song didn't make it. Shy and I have a nice history, they are good family friends. They have a clinic at the Fort. They are advertising producers, now they are doing concerts, they are called BIGBANG PRODUCTIONS. We go a long way back. The songs tell my story too, to reveal my music journey, had many sessions with song writers. This one has meaning, it all has a story. It's about romance, courting someone, when their parents don't like the guy. People especially millenials would relate, we wanted it to be intimate and do it in Kia Theater."

He adds "For Star Magic, I am so thankful to be with them for 10 years. They have made me who I am in showbiz today. Sarah may not be part of the whole thing because her schedules do not permit it, we will have guests. Musical Direction will be by Louie Ocampo, and Stage Direction will be by Direk Rowell Santiago. It'll be 16 songs, Looney and Morisette Amon has already confirmed and we are working on two more."

"When I go around people ask if we are a love team, we are not, we had offers but we know the true meaning of our relationship, it's real and we want to protect that. As much as possible, I don't want to talk about her because people might miscontrue my motives. It's actually difficult to do that, I struggle because people do often ask me about her."

"It will be a fun show and they will see how I do things in the concert." #HeyMatteo will happen on November 30, 2017 at 7:30PM.

Billy, JayR and Kris for SOUL BROTHERS

Tuesday, September 12, 2017

This September 15, it'll be one epic evening to see three of the finest RnB artists in the country in one show. Filo French Dance artist Billy Crawford, RnB King JayR and RnB Prince Kris Lawrence will treat you with SOUL BROTHERS on this day, at the Kia Theater in Araneta Center, Cubao Quezon City. Now this is good news for the individual fans of these three guys who have been able to achieve a lot in their own respective careers. The show is about celebrating original music,  which have made them who they are these past few years.  It is but an homage to soul, motown and RnB classics that have influenced them to make music for the future of OPM. They will of course perform their hits, and even do numbers with their friends and co-artists Daryl Ong, Sam Concepcion, Jay Durias and Gloc 9. It'll be all male since the concept is of "brothers", so prepare to be swooned!

JayR says "We've been together for about 20 years, we're neighbors (referring to Kris) but we met during high school. Billy came in when we met in GMA, he made a comeback a few years ago. Our culture, the way we look at things are the same, it's pinoy. Even if we were born in the states, we're legit. We were born in the states but we get refreshed when we go there, we learn other techniques that are not in the Philippines. It drives us to make it here."

JayR adds "Soul Brothers are our own idea, together with Arnold, we started to call this Small brothers a couple of years ago. We want to perform our own hits, the prod numbers would be the highlight. We wohls be taking this on the road, the US, Canada, Guam, places we plan to go to. We want to break that mold of Filipinos only doing covers. Our artists will be part of Original Filipino Music Only movement, which we have been doing in our own label. We will be doing our own songs, published, or new ones so there's a lot more to look forward to. It's obvious Kris is the higher range, I do soul, while Billy does swag and urban hiphop. We have different things to offer in one night. The healthy competition helps us better each time, the more we are in the studio the more we learn from each other and we receive it with love."

About the prank on JayR, Kris says "When we started taping, we had to improvise and I'm not an actor, and it just came and dragged on, but I'm glad it came out alright. He turned pale, he was sweating, it was crazy. Being with my brother and being in Homeworkz, it made he brand stronger. I confide with JayR a lot and he's my mentor. We ultimately want to create good music. My family is my greatest influence, together with Michael Jackson. "

Here are snippets of their interview on video, a little sample too, so enjoy!

Billy says "I think we are all passionate about music, we have different inputs but we are brothers so this is our dream concert. We've always talked about doing this together, made songs, but never had time to do it for each other. It's a big blessing for the three of us, being on stage, that comforts us. Right now, music is a mix, it doesn't matter what genre as long as it happens. We have many influences when it comes to music."

Now if you're a fan of their music, this would be an opportune time to see them perform live. This would be a nice venue to hear them on one stage and see why they've been so successful, helping each other grow. I envy them, I ain't no got no brotherhood like this in my hood. Often than enough, you'll get called like a wuss. Not a good thing. I want to see how they all show off what make them whole, how they managed to keep tough love, good careers and a solid relationship despite the odds and quirks of the Philippine entertainment industry. You may purchase tickets at Ticketnet.com.ph and at the venue. This is produced by ALV Events International. Party starts at 8PM!

Cheers to your brotherhood! Again, I envy you! Oh and people, I heard their tickets are selling like hotcakes, so get them before it runs out!
