No More GIFT Guessing Games with Things I Like App

Wednesday, November 22, 2017

Have you ever had that situation when you're going to a friend's party but didn't know what to give them for a gift? Either they're too rich to actually be given one or in many cases, you just don't have a clue. Well that's about to change now that the Things I Like App is here!

It's from a tech company based in Hong Kong and this is to solve that problem. This is also a way to give back to friends, loved ones, to interact with celebrities that you love, and it could be the way they could also do the same with you. This would be the perfect platform to also advertise so if you're an entrepreneur or online shop, this would be a good place to put your products in. People can monitor other people's wishlists and get reminders a few days before the actual event, so they never forget it and even prepare advanced greetings with customizeable (change text, photos and frames, make it compiled in a video) e-cards if they need too - plus the service is free of charge.

I registered today and it was so easy.

The app also includes ways to follow people, like celebrities, public figures and you can even give them gifts if you place requests. Details like addresses can be kept confidential so there's no security risks. Think of it as a combination of an app and gift registry we used to do in malls.

You can also keep track of your friends and family's birthdates. You'll be notified of it and you could just look at their profiles for their own wish lists. If you haven't decided yet but you like what you see in other people/celebrity profiles, just repost it and it'll end up in yours.

Best of all, you won't miss a birthday because you can set personal reminders before the actual day starts.

It's already available on the App Store and Google Play. You can buy it online or in the mall, request for their address and send it there. Now gift giving can be more efficient, even more now that you can see what your loved ones would want and need. When people enjoy the app, you get to know their buying habits and you won't have to think what the other person would need if it's already there. It's like an easy gift registry where you instantly know just by looking at their profile.

For now they are developing the app for more features in the future. Purchases will still be done on actual websites and once you post the link on the app, it'll automatically have a thumbnail and copy the details on the post. Seems like Christmas shopping would be easy using this.

You may download them today on iOS

If you're on Android, you may download it here:

I already have on on my list too, I hope my friends are taking notes! :)

Vivo Forges 4 Billion Dollar Partnership with Qualcomm

4 Billion Dollars, now that's already a budget for a country and we're just staring here.

It's BIG news and with good reason that Vivo is partnering with Qualcomm, the leading chip maker and next generation mobile technology provider. I guess this all would stem from them getting the technology from the company first and vice versa, securing and shared technologies from both companies will hasten growth in this field so studies, research and development that have been done in the past few years will be utilized in making further advancements that could serve both their interests.

Vivo also just recently launched the Vivo V7 and the V7+ in the country. They have been able to solidify their ranking among smartphones that have been sold in the Philippines and if my hunch is right, this player ain't playing because when these phones come out, they're probably feared by other companies because they do take a huge chunk off of the market. Why? Simply because they have really good hardware for the price they sell these handsets and for a nation that wants a phone that would be worth their money, Vivo delivers there. Always easy on the pocket.

Vivo now is one of Qualcomm's key partners and this 4 billion U.S dollars memorandum with Qualcomm signed last November 9 will strengthen their technical partnership and bring out patent sharing, something that they deem will benefit both entities to develop more technologies in the smart phone industry. So do expect more developments on mobile photography, gaming, smart power saving and others. They are also developing biometrics technologies and fingerprint scanning solutions plus 3D facial identification, palm prints, fingerprints, iris scanning and others.

Later on, they will delve on 5G connections, human to computer interactions and see how standards can be set. Vivo will also be sharing their consumer's experiences, so expect big things to come.

If you want to know more about this partnership, visit their official website www.vivo.com/ph, or like their social media channels https://www.facebook.com/VivoPhil, @vivophil on IG and @vivo_phil on Twitter.

That easy.

TRIP UBUSAN Lolas vs Zombies

I haven't really watched it yet but I've seen them all a few days ago during a blogcon in Quezon City. Clad in full make up, funky shoes and colorful dresses, the three Lolas Nidora, Tidora and Tinidora will be headlining a full movie showing tomorrow in theaters nationwide. Now this just puts the whole KALYESERYE story in a different level. Honestly I'd be really afraid to gamble in a movie that doesn't include popular loveteam ALDUB but as I've learned, there will be tons of side stories in this film that will only make sense if you connect the two love birds in the mix. A daughter? Who knows but judging from the name of the character itself, the kid possibly maybe Alden and Yaya Dub's very own, but to find that out you have to watch the movie. Aside from Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola and Paolo Ballesteros, you will see other stars like Angelika Dela Cruz, Ryzza Mar Dizon, Arthur Solinap, Rochelle Pangilinan, Lovely Abella, Taki Saito, Kenneth Medrano, Archie Adamos , Jayvhot Galang, Caprice Cayetano, Al Tantay, Joshua Zamora, NiƱo Mulach, and my love Shaira Mae Dela Cruz who I'm shipping with Miggy Tolentino in this film.

Miggy and Shaira by the way have already established a following in TROPS which is another show they are doing under TAPE Incorporated. Hopefully these guys would get even more attention now from the fans who also like them like I do. I had the chance to interview them separately so enjoy this one!

Remember that this shows on November 22, 2017 and if you've got nothing to do on this date go find your friends and family and invite them to watch this film that talks about family, horror, comedy and how these Lolas survive it all. Will they be able to protect their apo Charmaine (played by Caprice Cayetano)?

Watch them battle with zombies on theaters because this will surely be fun!

Angelica, Sam and John Launch Bright Bulb Productions

Tuesday, November 21, 2017

Had the chance to drop by the launch of Bright Bulb Productions and "Malaya"(Free) which is the new MTV of talented singer Moira Dela Torre. This has been part of a soundtrack for a movie they did a couple of months ago but they didn't have a music video with it and they started it off. Sam Milby has been good friends with Moi, John and Angelica so they decided to make this their first official venture under their new production company.Moira is definitely the talk of the town because of her songs which recently gained airplay plus "Malaya" climbed up the Billboard Philippines charts so they felt it was just the right time.

John Pratts directed the shoot with a single camera on hand and he says "While editing it we felt that the emotions was right, this was Moira's personal story, a song that was for her Grandma. Freeing someone is hard, but you have to let go even if it's painful. It was easy to direct them because you can tell them what your vision is and they give it in one shot. It wasn't sad during the shoot. I think on the scenes, I caught them on the most vulnerable parts of their lives. I want to make them a part of the cast and make a concept that would be perfect for them. It was just awkward at first but since they are involved in production they gave it all and more because they are invested in it."

Angelica had a hand in the creatives and says the process was pretty easy since she was working with people she already knew, she adds "For me if you love someone, you have to fight for it but never force it. If they don't want you, it's not real love if you don't give them their happiness. I was a bit shy when those kissing scenes happened but it was inspiring to actually do that. When I started kissing him I didn't want to stop. It was addicting. (Then they laughed) The scenes in Moira's MTV was more of an open ended wide conceptualized thing so in a nutshell we just did it without any scripts. We just talk and execute. We didn't use any personal experience or talk about it otherwise we would have all gone home and packed up the shoot. The things we do elsewhere, it was raw and people could relate to that. It was just good to do it. I didn't have an awkward phase but just followed their direction because I know how to put up a wall between professionals and friends."

Sam Milby was in good spirits, he gamely answered he plethora of questions about love and letting go asked by other people in the small talk and says "It must really be that way, if you love someone you have to laugh about things. It would be more okay to free them if you value yourself. I don't know where to cry, I was just sad there and on the scene you just have to be mum. If you are guilty you just don't have to say anything just like what happened there. For me it was awkward at first because I never worked with him in that setup, but since it's a music video it was light even if the song was so sad. It came out fine because we could communicate easily. We know our own strengths and we work quite nicely and I even do tech, so I suggest things. That's how we work together."

For those who want to see the video, here it is as posted on their Youtube channel:

Saw this already earlier and I think it was awesome. It had that raw feeling that takes you in the situation, Angelica and Sam both had us engulfed at the flames of their pain, his eyes of guilt included. You'll see more of this and their future works because by the looks of it, this is just the start. Perhaps soon, they'll get to do short films, full length ones and release it in movie houses.

They assured us they will.
