The 360 Mini Wireless Intercom IP Camera

Sunday, December 10, 2017

I've been so worried about home whenever I'm out on events because even though there are people inside the house, I forget a lot of things and get worried if there are uninvited guests sometimes. I'm just like you, we want to see the things inside our house just to feel more secured because let's face it, the Philippines isn't as safe as it was before. These days, security cameras are actually required for businesses in my city but for SOHO (small office/home offices) an IP camera would be sufficient.

Now I've got to tell you, I'm not new to this because I've been a router and device technician for a multinational tech company a couple years back. I install cameras like these for a living so in a way, I know my way around it. IP Cameras in the past have a web based interface and you would need to specify the IP address and the port you assign on the device, you then have to manually encode that on your router's firewall so it could allow the connection to go through. Aside from that, you need to go to the setup page of the IP camera and connect it to the network as a separate device, much like connecting a separate laptop computer. This time with the 360 Mini Wireless Intercom IP Camera, you won't have to really do that anymore because you just need to follow the steps indicated inside the app.

After opening the box, it's time to install the app. I am on iOS so you just have to look for the 360 Smart Camera App on the App Store or use a QR code scanner if you have one on your phone. What I like about it is that it's a pretty small app to install.

After installing on your phone, you have to register and use your phone number. Then select a password for it.

In order to activate it, click on the SEND code button and wait for it on your phone. Input your code and finish the registration process, it should take you to the MyCameras list.

Click on the + sign on the top right hand corner of the app and it should ask you for your wifi password.

It will get your connection tested, a few minutes would do.

Click on Connect to my Camera (if you are installing one) if you want a family member to connect to your camera, they would need to click the other one and use the QR Code you'll send them later.

It's pretty elementary, you just have to follow the prompts of the Green Light is Blinking. If it's not, just turn the device off and turn it back on.

It would ask you to name your camera, just keep it simple, you don't want to confuse people who want to connect to it too.

If you get this prompt, then you have successfuly connected the 360 Wireless IP Camera on your network.

You may use your fingers to zoom in or out of the video. It's going to give you a 150 degree view of your home, I have covered some parts for security.

The camera can be viewed in different modes like Standard, HD and Ultra HD. I was impressed it only needed a few resources as far as bandwidth is concerned.

You will be prompted to update it if the current firmware of your device is not updated, so please do as it has some fixes.

You will get that 150 degree view if you choose to see it on the landscape mode, you can also set alerts if you want to only use it when someone moves, and you can also use an SD card if you want to record things. As far as video quality, it's pretty decent.

You can invite friends and family to view your camera by texting them, using a QT Code invite or through WeChat which is pretty common in China.

Turn this off if you don't want alerts to happen.

You may choose to view videos and past recordings here.

This only indicates 1 camera so far but I plan to purchase more so I could cover the whole house, we don't want to get in trouble do we!

There are also options to clear cache and  enable gesture passwords. If you want something like that.

I did a screenshot of my personal QR code and sent it to my siblings so they can view our home from anywhere in the world. What I like about this is that it's very inexpensive, easy to install, quite clear and you get to see the most precious people you need to see 24/7. Not to mention PEACE OF MIND... That to me is priceless!

This device is available in various online stores in the Philippines, so get them if you want to be able to take control of your house, call for help if the need arises. It should be this easy.

Leather: Good Gifts For Men

Saturday, December 09, 2017

People are so fickle minded nowadays that they don't know what to give men these days. Let me tell you one thing, we are not hard to please. Gifting us is also not rocket science, a good massage, a good shirt, stuff from our favorite sport, gym equipment, I've got a ton on my list and let me tell you hunny, it's easy.

For those who think those things wouldn't work, the solution is sticking to the classics. Have you thought about giving your boy, your man or gramps some leather? Don't raise your eyebrows on me because dear, because if you didn't know... it actually feels special being gifted with it. There are belts, bags, wallets, even ones you could get at local brand McJim is good!

Their stuff? It's not that complicated. From things you could carry your gadgets in, documents, small ones for everyday wear, leather would and should work. It's got the ample amount of support, you'll even complete your outfit and get you to make your man look expensive. Mind you their shoulder bags and body bags are not that expensive. Heck you could buy a lot of it and not break the bank compared to other international brands that are of the same quality bur show up in their stores over priced.

Men these days, they are smart, confident, always can carry themselves well because it's not about the outfit babe. You can always look good if you accessorize in the right place, right time and occasion. Again it's not rocket science, take a look at McJim's Facebook page over at Facebook.com/OfficialMcJim for example because even the men from Montreal looked good with it. It shouldn't be that hard boo!

The Search for the First Cartoon Network ROCK STAR!

I have never been so out of place in my entire life as I graced this public event in Robinsons Magnolia this afternoon. This is the CARTOON NETWORK ROCK STAR event which happened at the mall's main activity area. I'm telling this story as I'm surrounded by TONS of kids, from toddlers to pre teens, their parents, lolos and lolas while they're waiting for the announcement of the first ever Cartoon Network Rockstar.

Now they know it wouldn't be easy for the kids to do that so they hooked them up with the industry's best humans so they could be well... presentable so when they go on stage they'd be in their best form. So all their outfits will be done by Kuya here so they can have balloon outfits, headdresses and musical instruments. He was extra careful and super accomodating to the kids while asking them about their instrument of choice. The other had guns though, colorful and all, but I like the guitars the most. The other booths though had photo booths so right after they were made up they can be seen with a bunch of characters from Cartoon Network shows. They were also encouraged to play a couple interactive arcade games so they can dance and play tunes. They'll be saving the air playing later, but judging by the kids I've seen, they're seriously going to perform. Why you ask? It's because they're going to be fighting for a grand prize which includes a Trip to Thailand for 4 (that's ALL EXPENSES PAID!) at the Cartoon Network Amazone Waterpark. They will also get to be signed for a 5 year contract with Viva Artists Agency so they could join the local entertainment industry, imagine that!

Aside from that, all kids who participated will be professinally made up, complete with temporary tattoos, hair, make up and glitters all over! They will also be judged by a panel of celebrities and entertained by the likes of Camille Pratts and son Nathan, Xia Vigor who was in that viral Taylor Swift video, Teacher Georcelle of GForce, and Ate Sienna of Batibot aka Sienna Olasa who is the current Cignal Vice President for Programming and Channel management.

If you've got sons and daughter who want to be inspired by these kids, come over to Robinsons Magnolia today because it's still happening. I'll update this article when I get the winner's name and their winning performance on video. Stay tuned.

Again if you are around the area and want to join with the festivities, they are still here at Robinsons Magnolia! Oh and if you want to see other events hosted by CN,  head on over to cartoonnetworkasia.com or their FB page Facebook.com/CartoonNetworkAsia or simply tune in on Cignal Ch. 74 or Ch 43 on SkyCable.

In the pool with Martin Del Rosario

Had to run from BGC to Quezon City a few days ago to be with Martin Del Rosario. It's his birthday and I was so ecstatic to see him because it's been a while since I last interviewed him. What I'm so glad about is that whenever you see him, it's like you're old friends and it's like you're just starting where you left off.

It's his birthday too and in the last few years he's done a couple of things for special education kids, charities, he also had us in his bar The Armory in Congressional Avenue in Quezon City (which by the way is the number one bar in this district) but he felt he needed to experience something new this year with no less but his closest fans. Where else to do that but the Swimming Pool of Ace Water Spa in Quezon City.

This place is pretty nice, it's got several places to relax and get water massages, a jacuzzi like pool, then a lap pool where Martin is going to be with his fans this afternoon.

He immediately waved at me when he saw me taking photos. See what I mean about him being a long lost friend? That's exactly how it felt. He definitely is very down to earth, I really like him because of that.

They were taught by a professional swimming instructor, honestly I was envious because I still don't know how to swim. They on the other hand were enjoying the time with Martin and practically now learning a new skill.

Here's good looking Joshua Jacobe too who hosted the event. As mentioned in earlier events, this guy is just getting so good at this, I could tell because he's cracking jokes now while making a spiel LOL. He's probably going to host shows soon too.

So now is the time to get serious, so we got Martin in one shallow part of the pool and asked him about his current projects. Of course we didn't forget to take photos of the puppy eyed guy so you can also marvel how cute he is. So aside from updates about his business, he's keeping himself busy with a new show on GMA called "HINDI KO KAYANG IWAN KA!" (I can't leave you!) which will be replacing the hit series with Kris Bernal called Impostora. The show was extended so theirs will start as soon as that show ends. We also have it on video, but we have a separate one which we will release soon (if we get permission). In the meantime enjoy Martin while beside the pool.

GMA Artist Center would loke to thank Goldilocks and ACE Water Spa for supporting this event. Male sure you stay tuned with Martin's new show and upcoming movies, you'll surely love him even more as soon as some of them come out. Congratulations Martin! I couldn't be more proud of the things you are doing now and the plans you have for yourself in the future! Continue to be humble, as hou'll be successful every time you need to because you're a good man. That takes a lot!
