The Ivana Chubbuck Masterclass in Manila

If you think about it, Ivanna Chubbuck has been doing a lot as an acting coach scribing also her best selling book The Power of the Actor. This is #TatakStarMagic #IvanaMasterclass2018. This is Ivana Chubbuck. She also has Direk Ryan Carlos as the Chubbuck technique certified instructor in the Philippines, helping people who would want to learn this though Star Magic’s efforts.

Ivana says “I usually come in and out of the country in schools all over the world but here, I will be spending 10 days. I was pleased to have taken the time going to the Star Magic Ball and saw some of the students of Direk Ryan Carlos, they have said it changed their lives because they understand the technique. It’s a statement that needs to be passed on from our artists, some of which didn’t have anything but after going through him now are starting their careers. They are doing really well and I wouldn’t have known they had that success without it. I will be walking away from this third workshop learning too, I will come back. I studies is more from the sciences, I studied behavioral science, there is a primal constance that is present in anyone and we are not just making best actors in the Philippines and it has to be brought to the world stage. No matter what language you speak, or culture you are in, people would be able to relate and find the human equation, solve and find their way as the journey of the actor. Chances are, people all over the world are doing the same thing. Be fearless in taking risks. Do hard work and don’t play it safe. If you people please, people are annoyed by that. Find how to personalize it to accomplish your goal in the environment of the script. Change the world with the arts!”

This time, a total of 16 artists has been chosen by ABSCBN Executives to undergo this training. They are Mica Javier, Diego Loyzaga, Jameson Blake, Leila Alcasid, Myrtle Sarroza, Vin Abrenica, Enzo Pineda, Joseph Marco, Nash Aguas, Loren Burgos, Elmo Magalona, Bela Padilla, Aljur Abrenica, Christian Bables and JC Santos. They will also have the executives, directors, business unit heads, film enthusiasts who will take part in this.

Pitalicious Renews Pact with Endorser Aiai Delas Alas

The blessings still pour in for Ms. Aiai Delas Alas. This is officially her second year with popular shawarma brand Pitalicious which was established in 2012 by Brian and Gillian Ann Francisco. They set up shop in Market Place Mall in Mandaluyong, then got their second one at St. Francis Square in Julia Vargas Ortigas, their third one is at Star City. They got their franchising arm Pitalicious Franchising Corporation up on 2015 and has been heavily expanding since then.

Pitalicious prides itself of using 100% pure beef, home made marinades and always warm pita bread. They also encourage people to give them feedback so they could improve their products, not a lot of corporations do that.

Charlie the Operations Manager of Pitalicious “We want to ask for your support as Pitalicious expands throughout the Philippines. We will have more events and activations soon and I hope we would be able to have your support.”

Aiai says “I want to say thanks to their whole family for trusting me again to be their endorser and I know God is good, they got a lot of Pitalicious franchisees and seeing them help business owners become successful too, it warms my heart. Congratulations Pitalicious! I was supposed to own one because I was so eager to get it in my hood. I love the Chicken filling, even the beef, I like healthy stuff and this isn’t oily. I am happy to see and I pray for them secretly, and I’m glad to see them all flourish. I need to learn and do it because I am hands on, thank you to Pitalicious because they do that!”

Owner Ms. Gillian says “Our branches has increased 50% over the years and right now we have plans to do more. We even have new franchisees here so they see our efforts. We also train them hard for 5 days. The difference of our shawarma is that it is a home blend. You taste the smokiness, the secret is grilling beef that is sliced thinly. We have food carts, kiosks, and mini diners because people want to sometimes spend time sitting down and eating it. We make the ambiance apt for family and friends, it is what we always want to strive for.”

The TRES Red Carpet Premiere

Had fun watching TRES this evening. It’s a movie with three installments starring Jolo Revilla, Bryan Revilla and Luigi Revilla. This is the brainchild of their father Bong Revilla. Jolo and his brothers went in front of the cinema and shared how much they wanted their Dad to witness this all. The premiere though was graced by their grandfather Ramon “Agimat” Revilla Sr. It was really touching to see their whole family, even members of the local government of Cavite came together to support them in this big project.

I can tell you a few things but would try not to spoil this for you. Bryan’s episode is about trust and how we fail to see people for who they are, whilst still holding his machismo. Luigi’s story was mostly about the repercussions of using vices, for a newbie in film, he actually did good. Jolo on the other hand was refreshing to see doing his episode, it was good storytelling. If you feel you want a taste of Bong Revilla’s movies in the past, it’s like I’m seeing double. He’s a charmer, and you’ll love how it’ll all come together. Let’s leave it at that.

If you want a piece of the Revillas, go rush to the cinemas starting October 3 and see why Bong is proud of his sons, and get a chance to watch an entertaining movie too. Kudos to the ladies who held their ground and didn’t shortchange in the acting side of the story. Also some really good supporting actors in the mix, there are fun action sequences you shouldn’t miss. Some too are tragic.

It felt like a long Probinsyano scene, with their own story told instead. If you’re a fan of that, you’ll enjoy this too.

The Good Doctor, The Resident on the Fox+ App

Hey couch potatoes! How you doin?

Well, I’m here to give you good news. I’m sure if you have cable TV you’ve seen some commercials each time a show takes a break, it’s all about The Good Doctor or The Resident. I have seen the whole season of The Good Doctor and mind if I tell you, Freddie Highmore is just so good playing the part of a medical doctor that’s got autism. They explained it well on how he makes every case a detailed discovery and how he as a genius continue to practice the profession and prove those who doubt him wrong.

The Resident on the other hand talks about office politics and how it could affect the community. It stars Matt Czuchry who also starred in one of my favorite series Gilmore Girls (and The Good Wife). It would be a very interesting story to tell if the operations of a new Chastain Park Memorial Hospital falls in his hands. Will he be goody two shoes or will he be doing an overhaul and manage it in his style or will this be a different story.
