Watsons World of Wellness 2019

I was in Cebu for a weekend and stayed in the Osmena area for a few days, but totally forgot about my medicine because I was frantic packing for this trip. I seldom do but I was so glad there was a Watsons branch right across the street where my hotel was so I whipped out my Watsons card and paid for the usual maintenance medicine I needed for 4 days.

Now if I only knew they had an event there too I would have covered this World of Wellness 2019 event by Watsons. This is a health symposium that Watsons does so Filipinos could have more knowledge on health and wellness. 

As a Watsons Card Member, they got to listen to Dr. Kevin Bautista (about flu and basic asthma), whilst Dr. Celine Aquino and Dr. Marivic Vestal discussed causes of hear attacks and Dr. Marissa Garcia taught them more about the lifestyle of diabetes patients. They also got to participate in different booths and won prizes, exclusive discounts and earn points on their purchases, what a treat!

This seem to be a thing they plan to do in different parts of the country, like what they said in the launch we attended a few months back. Watsons members really get more!

San Miguel Generations

The last scene of this party was with The Dawn so I intently listened to them because I have adored their music since the 80's. Not that I lived through that era but I really enjoyed their music together with other OPM bands who struck gold in the industry. Back then, I saw people holding a beer bottle or two, a plate of adobo peanuts and enjoying a grand time in beerhouses which was a common sight, your fathers probably we're there too.

A few days ago, San Miguel released two videos depicting the 70's and the other showing how Millennials do it to this day. YouTuber Superman Kimpoy Feliciano, Sabado Nights Girl Yna Raymundo and The Dawn's lead vocalist Jett Pangan told us all about it and voila! We didn't know that the two videos had a connection, if you play it side by side, and listen to the music, you will be surprised how they designed it to be meant to be played like that.. like whoa!

Their brand cry this year just means whatever generation you're in, you still have a connection, we all have to celebrate that instead of talking about our differences. It's not a world of who's better, we both have our own good thing going on, and that should be the only thing that matters. We learn from the past, but we shouldn't discount what's good in this generation. Go find these nice things with a friend and play the videos side by side too, you'll enjoy it like we did.

Oh by the way, they also got me to hoard the Street Fighter/King Of Fighters arcade game during the event, they tried to beat me for hours but nobody won against me, I guess I still have it haha!

You should consider picking up a bottle after office hours, you deserve the break to celebrate what's good today.

MLBB Southeast Asian Cup Team Draws

Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup is happening at the Smart Araneta Coliseum this June and yes, if you wanna see it live, you have to fly to Manila, Philippines in order to enjoy it. Codes will be also given at the venue so if you’re up to it, go get your tickets. 12 teams 9 countries doesn’t sound bad either.

William the Marketing Manager for MSC says “Here we will witness true legends, the best of the best. Our website at MSC will also contain updates and thank you to Smart for supporting our event.”

JJ of MSC says “The site will have announcements and our global press conferences. So if you want to be updated with news, it will be there and updated live. Philippines is a very important market, it is growing, we want more tournaments, skins and heroes from this country soon.”

Milk Tea Fix at Sugar Panda Abreeza Mall

It's so hot outside that you just wanna stay indoors and let the hours pass in Davao City. That's exactly why we are here in Sugar Panda, at Abreeza Mall's third floor for our own sanity, and our Milk Tea fix.

There are tons of brands out there but this one seems special because they are serving Taiwan's #1 drink, so we indulged in having some of their best sellers. First off, I like their containers because they seem to be reusable, perhaps you can just wash this off and prepare something hot later on, but since we are a little at the end of summer, and it's very humid in the Philippines, we might as well try this joint out.

Lychee Boba Milk Tea is fruity and more on the sweet side. If you love cold lychees, this would be a nice substitute.

I ordered this Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cream Mousse. It's not that sweet (although you can ask for sugar levels), and you'll taste more of their products on the milky side rather than tea. They barely have lines in the mid afternoon so you should prolly go there around that time.

This is their Taro Boba Milk Tea. I actually like Taro but again they made this on the milky creamy side and you'll feel a little hint of earthy taro flavor with this one. Don't be afraid to try new stuff, this one is easy.

This is their Wintermelon Boba Milk Tea, which had a more caramely flavor profile. If you don't know what to order, play safe and order this one.

So if you're looking for your Milktea fix and you're trapped in Davao, try Sugar Panda out. It's not overly sweet and VERY affordable. 

You can't go wrong with good Milktea, if you want it on the milky side rather than the tea, they got you covered.
