The World's Most Desirable Men: MR. WORLD

Saturday, August 10, 2019

What does it mean for the Philippines to host this year’s Mr. World competition? Well for starters, we’re making history because pageant wise this is the first time the country is doing it. Now imagine how we felt when we got into a tent full of the world’s most desirable men, we felt right at home. LOL

The testosterone level alone in Cubao increased a hundred fold as some of the candidates took time to talk to the media, giving their best foot forward and us, having our first impressions of them. Guys clad in their best garb, suits and shirts approached the media and true enough there were a lot who stood out. They’re not just eye candy for women, they’re inspiration for men. There will be 5 rounds of Mr. World Challenges that they have to go through, the Extreme Challenge (Special Action Force training in Laguna), the Sports Challenge (skill and athleticism), Talent and Creativity, Fashion, and Multimedia.

Ms. Julia Morley says “We are so excited to be finally here in the Philippines with the best men from around the world. Over the next couple of weeks, these contestants will take part in a number of challenges that test the true qualities of a man. We have had such a wonderful warm welcome from the Filipinos and we are looking forward to know them better, taste local food and understand the culture.”

Also in the event was Arnold Vegafria, current Mr. World Philippines National Director and he says “With all the strong reception that we have achieved for Miss World Philippines, I feel that it’s time to promote male pageantry as well. This is why we are taking the Mr. World pageant right here in the Philippines! Iam so thankful for the Mr. World organization for choosing the country as the venue for this year’s pageant.”

This will happen on August 23 so if you want tickets, it’ll probably be on Araneta’s box office, easy as that. Now after seeing these guys, who’s your favorite?

Link Asia Manpower Solutions Utilizes STERNA App

Friday, August 09, 2019

The Philippines has an estimated 13.7 Billion increase in dollars remittances this 2019. A huge chunk of that is from outside the country, what we call OFW’s or Overseas Filipino Workers. This accounts for a percentage of the country’s GDP and is the reason why we are not that affected much when other markets are volatile. Link Asia Manpower Solutions has been sending skilled workers for years and with the advent of the industry becoming digital, they’ve partnered with STERNA.This goes with other companies who are now connected with the app too

For those who don’t know, STERNA has been utilized in different countries like Mexico, Columbia, Tunisia, Morocco, Canada and now the Philippines. The app makes it easy to process recruitment documents, so you would be able to connect with people, with just a few clicks. The app makes your professional profile visible to companies that need to fill positions in different capacities, even process papers required for legal procedures as accorded by your preferred destination, as you can also include where and where not to work. It is also very easy to navigate as it doesn’t have a very complicated interface. This was created by Bruno Padis.

Eric Corpuz the President of Link Asia Manpower Solutions says “This is an app that would be able to connect employees and employers, in a very personal and direct way. This would eliminate the chance of getting victimized by illegal recruiters, which makes it safe for our new OFW’s/heroes. If you want to know more, you may call them via 816-3258. Or simply download the Sterna app on the App Store or Google Play.

It’s all there!

SIBOL: The Philippines’ Official ESports Team

The egames industry in the Philippines has done a lot as far as representing the country in ESports tournaments internationally. Games require hand eye coordination, teamwork, skill and is just about important as any sport there is, so during the Southeast Asian Games this coming November, we’re putting ourselves in contention with other Southeast Asian countries and developed our own national team for E Sports which we’ll properly call Sibol. (Growth in english)

The team will be managed by the Philippine Southeast Asian Games Esports Union (PSEU) which is a group under the Philippine Olympic Committee. They would have to be good in Dota2, StarCraft II, Hearthstone, Arena of Valor, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Tekken 7 in order to beat other teams which makes this even difficult. The 30th Southeast Asian Games will also be held here in the country so that adds to the pressure these men or women will actually have to go through. Pro players will be invited and tryouts will also be done to complete the pool. This will happen on August 1-11, pretty close already. For more updates please check out sibolesports.ph and their social media pages (FB, IG, and Twitter) via the @SIBOLesports official account.

Go support your own team and make the country proud!

Dra. Margie Holmes on HOOQ Originals

She’s been here, the talk of the town, when the rest of the country was still crushing their heads with conservative views, she was the doctor who said otherwise and put it out there. She’s Doctora Margie Holmes. She’s got a HOOQ Originals show called “S3X Talks with Dr. Holmes” and put the information about it out there for the world to see.

This isn’t the first one as they did Viva Films’ ULAN with Nadine Lustre and Carlo Aquino. It has been their goal to provide out of the box entertainment, the kind that pushes boundaries so this really fits. Taboo for others, but really needs substantial healthy and naughty discussions, hence the Doctor is in.

It will be running for 10 episodes, all dropped on a weekly basis. You can watch it now by downloading HOOQ on your smartphones, and even watch your favorite Hollywood movies, K Dramas and so much more on the app! It already has the episodes from last week, and this week so go rush and watch it. You gotta get HOOQed.
