FreeStyle Libre is on Sale at Lazada

Tuesday, September 08, 2020

I've been using this for a couple of weeks now and I've never had so much confidence knowing that I know my blood sugar level every minute instead of going to the clinic pricking and waiting for the med tech to tell me how high it was. Now I manage it really well and I have adjusted what I eat because that seems to be the culprit when my blood sugar goes haywire. I used this special reader and scanner system by Abbott called FreeStyle Libre. I don't prick anymore and it does wonders when data is available right there. Now since it is Lazada 9.9 Big Brands Sale, the usual 3,500 worth device is now Php 2,940 which is 16% cheaper than usual. The sensor on the other hand costs 3,500 also on a normal day has become Php 3,150 which is 10% off, that's just amazing!

The whole kit which has both now costs Php 6,020, that's 14% worth of savings compared to its original price, now diabetics have the chance to experience the convenience I have had. This sale however is only from 12--2am. You can get 12% off the reader, 6% on the sensor and 10% on the kit from 2am onwards. Still a good day to get one.

I'm just glad I told you about this now.

Hurry over to the Lazada App because the sale only lasts a day!

Those Old Spice Videos are Epic!

It's what I always use and I never have changed brands because it's good. No joke.

But recently, Old Spice has been doing a show of force online and on TV as they created several epic and funny commercials just to show they are #TheSmellThatNeverDies. I've always seen manly Old Spice commercials in the US and this time, they're flexing the Filipino version which I think is of creative genius levels in execution. It's different, differently weird, and that is exactly why I like it. It's like a punch in the face delivering how you can almost taste immortality, without worrying that your antiperspirant and deodorant could fail you when you need it most. They feel Filipino men deserve this much fun, and I agree with that.

They also have an all Filipino cast doing it, like ultimate action hero and model Victor Silayan, also the powerful belter Frenchie Dy singing it like there was no tomorrow. I was like omg how silly this is, but yeah, helluva lot effective. Sharks, Ninjas,. 2 huge Anacondas and a whole meteor couldn't stop him, just because he used the Old Spice Body Spray. Go check out the videos here!

Now there's no more reason to be down during these days, Old Spice knows humor, and they know what you need to smell good.

Help a friend with PayMaya

These days it’s been really hard to move especially when there’s quarantine protocols to follow and the pandemic shows no signs of slowing down. It’s dangerous outside and social distancing has only been the proven way of stopping this, a real bummer huh?!

Now I know most of you have friends and family. Sometimes you feel that they need help, but most of them don’t ask outright because they’re really too shy to do so. I’ve been doing this in my capacity, not that much but I hope in some way or form, it could actually help. If you haven’t used PayMaya all these years, you might want to do that now. The app is pretty handy in sending money to other PayMaya users, and I’ve received payments with it too. Some don’t actually know PayMaya can send to bank accounts via Instapay and Smart Padala agents which is available nationwide. It also has the ability to send money to PeraHub branches (all 3,000+ of them) so even if they don’t have a PayMaya account, they can simply receive it that way.

The PeraHub branch just needs you to fill out a transaction slip, a valid ID and a small fee for the transaction. Recipients will get a text message which contains the reference number and voila! That’s as easy as that to transfer funds now. What that means is that they can simply go to a PeraHub branch near them to get the funds, to at least get a little help from you. A little something to show you care.

That’s priceless.

Your Home Awaits at Tagaytay Highlands

It's certainly a very tough time for all of us as the pandemic ruffles all our feathers, tests our patience and seek time for prayers. People right now are at the comforts of their homes or looking for a more quiet space away from the hustle and bustle of the city, making their once weekend vacation houses into permanent homes. I've been to Tagaytay Highlands quite a few times already and it sounds like a great idea to live there.

Tagaytay Highlands is a mountain-resort themed estate blessed with majestic views of Mt. Makiling, the Canlubang Valley, Laguna de Bay and Taal Lake. The place is not just a weekend retreat, it has evolved into a place to build your dream home and it has for a lot of people. Its huge lots, Swiss Alps reminiscent log cabins and large units are made to endure years, perfect place to create those happy memories with family and friends. Tagaytay Highlands has always been like that. Exclusive, yes, but it feels so much like home.

Tagaytay Highlands has always been managed well. They employ high security standards which enable residents and guests have a safe place. They also launched clean-up and repair operations this January where major roads, driveways, golf courses, landscapes and other common areas were rehabilitated, fixed and repaired. It's why the place remains in pristine condition before the pandemic happened. I've had memories with family gatherings, weddings, events in The Spa and Lodge, the Tagaytay Highlands Golf Course, dining places and the Sports Center which comprise the major facilities of this place.

This makes it a dream safe haven for homeowners and guests. It remains to be one of the few communities with low-density populace and wide-open spaces plus clean mountain air. I envy those who get to live there everyday.

The place also enforces stringent health and safety standards as they follow measures mandated by government health authorities. Residents and guests are encouraged to do frequent handwashing, wear face masks and shields outside their homes. They are also to observe social distancing. Property employees continue to be monitored closely and undergo non-contact thermal scanning upon entering the property. Temperatures are again checked at all main entrances,  canteen and offices employ two-meter distance for employees to keep everyone safe.

The same goes with management, staff, security and technicians of the Tagaytay Highlands as they continue to provide services to homeowners, guests and members. This makes it one of the nicest place to be in. A safe place to stay, with stunning views and people who care. You might want to live there too.
