Martyrdom and Relationships: ISA PANG BAHAGHARI for MMFF 2020

Saturday, December 19, 2020

Looks like the very interesting story by Heaven's Best Entertainment this MMFF 2020 is going to be an interesting one as it talks about family, friendship and relationships. It's called ISA PANG BAHAGHARI (Another Rainbow) and it's very timely now that LGBT issues are also being discussed in the country.

Producer Dennis Evangelista + Harlene Bautista says "We're very proud our film has got the best of both generations. They are really good actors. Sanya and Zanjoe, Maris, they are so good in this film and we know we weren't wrong in casting you. Your fans are eagerly awaiting your movie, congratulations!"

Zanjoe says "It was my first time to work with them all, especially Philip and Ms. Nora. I was really nervous and excited to be part of the film, Direk was really nice to really get me in the groove. I have made a film in MMFF and I miss how it was so busy with the parade and awards night. It's sad that everything changed but I am still happy that films are still being shown online so people can still watch it. Maybe everything is going digital, I am happy this is an advantage that it will be shown worldwide. Direk really had really good work out there, and he was strict according to other actors, but I didn't let that bother me, I really concentrated on how to work with my character, he really fixed me on how to be a little tough. I was wary if I was going to be scolded."

Maris "Zanjoe really said it right, it was tense to be in the scene and work with Joel Lamangan. Growing up my Mom always told me how good Ms. Nora is and I think it manifested how I'll be doing a young Nora Aunor. I always wanted to see them, I feel so blessed. Seeing Sir Joel was really a nervous experience, it was like a make or break sesssion with him but he was really nice, very caring, he asks if we ate, very strict but you know you will really be learning a lot. He makes you comfortable. I would really recommend knowing your character before working with him. It was fun to work with him because he has stories, he had so many anecdotes about Ms. Nora and he told us about it. I was a tamed version of her."

Sanya "Actually, it is also my first time to work with them. Working with legendary actors, it was a nervous experience because these actors are really good. We just needed to connect as a family, Ms. Nora's eyes feel like she'll actually eat you for dinner. Actually, I am a little too shy because I am the only one from GMA, but I got excited to be there because they were all so kind, hopefully soon I would be able to make more projects with them. I was really nervous with Direk, but I was happy because he was really into developing his actors. He was happy with our work, but he hugs people, he's a very nice man. "

Here's what I also got to ask the cast during the blogcon this evening.

Hope you could catch them on Christmas day! Get tickets from Upstream.ph today!

AXN and GoDaddy's PROJECT GO Announces Winner

The word is out and yes, one team has finally won PROJECT GO. It's STAFFZ which is a hub for virtual assistants. The passion, the cause, it was a nice thing that they've gotten one impressive person who pitched this idea and now has the opportunity to make it a reality.

George Chien of KC Global Media says "This project was fun for us and partnering with GoDaddy was good even during the pandemic. This production was a challenge but with the resources that GoDaddy has, we pulled off a pretty exciting project. For all the contestants, I certainly learned a lot. We enjoyed the non traditional ideas as we deliver something really unique that would benefit a lot of people during the pandemic. If we have helped one person, that's already good."

James Carroll of GoDaddy International says "This series was a celebration of the Filipino entrepreneurial spirity. We are beyond grateful to provide them tools especially during these exciting times. I want to congratulate the winner, and all who have presented their ideas. I considered a number of things in the final pitch, how innovative was it? Is there a market? How clear and what approach they used? How did they execute it? That made the difference."

Jodi Valenta VP for Global Marketing of GoDaddy says "Their passion of helping others, that really touched me the most. It was a great experience to be thousands of miles away and see the show. It helps anybody understand the entrepreneurial spirit."

Mentor and host Maggie Wilson says "Before I take on a project I asked if this was going to make me grow. It makes peoples ideas real. I learned so much from my co mentors and the contestants themselves, I will take those with me. I saw a confident woman Pearl when you presented and thank you all so much for being part of this. This is something truly special."

Bea Cupin says "Thank you to everyone who watched the show. I learned so much from the mentors and the Top 4. I am so excited to see what else is in store with Filipino entrepreneurs. I also want to thank AXN Asia and GoDaddy Asia for making me a part of this. I hope you guys support Pearl and everyone in the top 4."

Mikko Tung says "I am so glad to have signed up for this because I will never forget this. I am so happy to be able to impart things through Project Go. Being a mentor, I never knew I would learn so much from the contestants. Sooner, it will be them teaching me a thing or two. I am 100% more humbled and inspiring. I want to congratulate everyone getting this far and you are all absolutely stellar. Pearl, I am so proud of you since day 1, this is only the beginning and congratulations on being the first winner of Project Go.

Mark Tung says "The experience was very challenging for me, I have always thought I dind't want to let down the other mentors and GoDaddy, thank you for the people involved in this. I saw how driven they are, I wasn't like this when I was their age. I give a lot of credit to these contestants. I got to meet them and share our experience, but I learned a lot from them. Congratulations Pearl for winning, I know you guys will make it work. You are in the right direction, we are just a message away, you guys are all winners.

Macky Tung says "When you are stuck at home you are a little uninspired, these guys have a platform and made their ideas come true. The behavior of people has changed before and after the pandemic. We saw that in Project Go, seeing these young entrepreneurs do it, I was going out and partying when I was in their age. They had plans, they knew how to market, on top of that they are thriving even during the pandemic. It's just really inspiring. It's not just after sales, you need to find your purpose and hit individuals that matter most. Never forget that, you e

Tina Shieh of GoDaddy says "It was an experience for us, we took social distancing to a whole new level. They are constantly sharing their expertise during a competition and we are so glad to be part of that. Listening to the whole thing, I really appreciate this whole journey of Project Go. Thank you to everyone who participated in this project."

Winner Pearl De Guzman of Team STAFFZ says "I am happy and grateful to be declared as the winner of Project Go. This is a big win. Actually, we are just overwhelmed with the messages we got especially after the announcement. Thank you to everyone who made the show, it's was an amazing experience for me and my team, we now have the tools to take our ideas off the ground to bring it to life. We now have a website built through GoDaddy and there's really no excuse to not have one. There was a lot of pressure all throughout that show and we just needed to tell them how we got our numbers. You just have to put your idea out there, take the first step. It has made our business model really fine tuned and we now know how to deliver our story. Right now we are looking forward to apply these ideas and we needed a big online presence and certainly, it was easier to have been able to use their tools during this pandemic."

Cebuana Lhullier Microsavings: The best tomorrow we deserve today

Just attended the webinar of Cebuana Lhullier Bank about how to Discover Your Ipon Power. It's a real good way to learn more about Micro Savings which would help a lot of people to save in their own little way.

Securing the future should be possible for every Filipino. The lack of accesibility, the identification documents needed and the fees all scare them away and most people prefer to just keep their money at home.

"It's all about financial mobility, to be more convenient, accessible and powerful. This is just the first of many financial inclusion projects we have as we move forward to the new normal. This will provide financial access to millions of Filipinos, giving them access to cash or financing for business needs. Our 25,000 branches are ready to serve you, even easier and more affordable to do it online. The best tomorrow we deserve today." -Jean Henry Lhullier

Michael Sena of Cebuana Lhullier says "We welcome you to discover your Ipon Power. The response of the Filipinos has been overwhelming as we saw 3.5 Million become a part of the movement, changing the lives by changing their ipon habits and joining our microsavings progam. The pandemic has been very difficult but it has showed how we needed to change things. In behalf of Cebuana Lhullier, we believe that every Filipino deserve the best tomorrow today, thank you!"

Ben Diokno of BSP says "I agree with today's theme, there is power in savings. It allows us to dream big, and it is what we want to be in everyone's reach. This is part of our move to have everyone involved in financial inclusion. Even before the pandemic, we have seen the value of a formal account. BSP has made changes to democratize account ownership. Around 7 Million accounts will be part of the social amelioration program and its financial services. Filipinos can now go to convenience stores, pawnshops to transact now. Aside from addressing barriers, we are all seeing the fruits of our digital push, to build and ecosystem that can benefit individuals and businesses. Payment sreams, infrastructure and standards will be part of the pillars we choose to achieve in a few years. We are stepping up our digitization efforts and putting up consumer protection framework in this client focused banking industry. We will continue to implement the BSP Online Buddy (BOB) to make our services closer to people. They are close to target segments and close markets to deliver essential services to those who haven't been reached before. We are happy to know Cebuana Lhullier Bank is doing good, in making sure people have digital payments so they too can get convenience in services for savings and insurance. Together let us work to make sure every Filipino has a financial account and security."

Dennis Valdez the President of CL Rural Bank says "We want to bring financial inclusion regardless of who they are and wherever they may be. It's for the friendly neighborhood lender, the friendly kasambahay, to bring accessibility to over 5 million account holders nationwide. We embarked on a campaign to promote in far flung places to talk to them and include them in these. The challenges in the pandemic made us look for more opportunities to answer the needs of our clients. It has challenged us to be more accessible, more convenient,  hence we introduce to you the new and improved Cebuana Lhullier Microsavings."

This is integral to the new normal, the new Cebuana Lhullier Microsavings has maximum accessibility. It can be accessed with over 21000 Bancnet ATM's and the existing Cebuana Lhullier branches nationwide. Now they have a place to pay bills, do online shopping, fund transfers, and use Unionpay payment systems across the country. You have online access, via the new eCebuana app where you can transfer via Instapay, buy eload and a place to buy insurance, jewelry, and more. Soon they will also implement payment via QR, and you can open an account now online. This is cashless and has full online access, this is your IPON POWER.

For those who are asking, opening an account only needs 1 valid ID, an initial deposit of Php50 and card fee of Php150 so you can access it anywhere.
