The device has got 165Hz refresh rate that used to be done in monitors, but now can do it on smaller form factor (laptop). You can use this for media, movies, editing, all that good thing on this laptop. Price starts at around Php 59,995.

The Lenovo Legion Legion 5i on the other hand comes in Stingray White and Phantom Blue. It looks great, but don't fret, it is powerful as it is equipped with GEForce RTX 30 series gracphics card (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 in this case), AI Engine, 15.6 QHD display which any gamer would love. It also works on a fast 165 Hz refresh rate and less than 3 ms response time. It also is equipped with a TrueStrike Keyboard system present in the products launched with this one. It's not that heavy either and is easy to carry around, and of course, has got the latest GPU line. If you want on, you've got to shell out around Php 72,995 for it.

For the more serious gamers, I'd like to suggest you get the Legion 5i Pro. It's got a 16 inch QHD with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Also has an unbelievable 12 hours max clock speed, a built in 720p front camera, Thunderbolt 4 ports, TrueStrike Keyboard system and is available in Storm Grey and Stingray White colorways. It's not bulky and has a slim form factor, also a whopping WQXGA display and 165 Hz refresh rate. Turn up the volume and you'll hear how good the 3D Nahimic Audio is so you'll hear those footsteps when enemies walk by easily. This comes in Storm Grey and costs Php 169,995. realme Set to Launch realme GT Master Edition Series and realme book

Friday, September 17, 2021

A few days ago, realme invited media for a preview of a few things they're launching this week. It was actually super hard to keep things from you, but since they already talked about it this weekend, here's a few things of what we know so far about the realme GT Master Edition Series and the new realme book. The event was attended by realme Philippines executives Austine Huang, Kyle Hubo, Jeannielyn Cheng, Dom Nacorda, Jimmclaude Gayo and a few media guests. They dub these as flagship disruptors,

Jimmclaude Gayo explained to us the new phone and says "The realme GT Master Edition Series is designed by Naoto Fukasawa. It's in a "suitcase design" and as he says "I want to design for positive, active and lively people, the suitcase is an everyday gadget, it's got horizontal grids, comes in Voyager grey. This is the world's first concave leather design made of vegan leather. It's eco friendly and ethically sourced. We also have it in daybreak blue. Equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G processor, better CPU, GPU and AI performance versus previous flagship phones. It's 5G ready and can do WiFi 6. 8GB ram and comes in 128 and 256 storage version. It also employs 65W super dart charge, good for gamers and heavy phone users.  This also has a Vapor Chamber cooling system so it doesn't heat up. The GT mode makes gaming smooth, and it runs Android 11 out of the box via realme GT Master Edition. This has a 64MP primary camera (32MP selfie camera), macro and wide lens. It also has a dynamic photo lens, instant focus, quick start, film simulation color (simulates Kodak color shots), black and white, and dramatic mode. It's a design awardee so it's really a thing of wonder."

Austine Huang "We have expanded our portfolio and our entry to the laptop category starts with the new realme book. realme’s new products represent some of the very best in technology, and we've kept them affordable so it would be accessible to a lot of Filipinos. We want to be part of the realme Squad's goals in achieving their full potential. The realme GT Master Edition and the realme Book is going to be a huge part of that. We can’t wait for everyone to experience them starting today!"

The realme book has a lightweight design. It's only 1.38kg which you can carry around easily. It's lighter than the latest macbook. It's simple, sleek, elegant and is made of an aluminum body. It comes in real blue and real silver colorways. It carries 11th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, when used, it's smoother when you create things that involve photos and videos. The graphics card is an Iris XE. You can also expect smoother gameplay, they tested it in LOL and Valorant which are pretty popular nowadays. The realme book also employs dual fan cooling system so you don't overheat. It also does 65W Super Dart Charge, 54W Large Battery so you can last almost the whole day (office hours) without the need to plug in. It responds fast, has enough storage, also has a PC Connect option so you can connect to your gadgets and your laptop with ease and transfer files. You can also upgrade it to Windows 11 for free. It's got Thunderbold ports (so you can connect it to monitors with ease), passed durability tests. This also comes in in Core i3 and Core i5 variants + 8GB dual-channel LPDDR4x RAM.

The official launch of the GT Master Edition and the realme Book will be on September 23 at 6 p.m. via the realme Philippines Facebook page and YouTube channel so make sure you're subscribed on both social network channels.

ASUS Outs All-New ZenBook 14 (UX425EA)

Thursday, September 16, 2021

Looks like ASUS is at it again as they release a new ZenBook 14 UX42EA which is a 14 inch ultraportable laptop which is good for everyday office requirements, school packed with power, speed and better fit for productive sessions, something that does the job. I own one (a latter model) and just as I needed something that would also do video editing and tons of word processing, it's been my companion for all the things you see on my blog, social networks and even my YouTube channel.

The new one is better, it's got 2.8K resolution with its QHD display. Videos and photos stay livelier, brighter, and delivers smooth picture and video quality yet not power hungry like other machines of its kind. Your movies, YouTube or Netflix videos would be sick as it's got 90% screen to body ratio, you can chill while writing away on a separate space on your screen (which I do often).

It's got more power because of the Intel Iris Xe graphics card and 16GB RAM, with 512GB PCIe 3.0 x2 NVMe SSD so you've tons of space for your videos and photos. It's also equipped with WiFi 6 so no issues if you're going to get higher wifi rates later on. What's also new is their ASUS USB-C Easy Charge feature so you can be at peace when you are out for work or in a coffee shop (if government permits lol). Still has full i/o capabilities and two Thunderbolt USB-C ports, a microDS Card reader on the side so you don't have to run cables for your cameras or storage devices. Those file transfers would be easy especially for those who usually copy huge video files like you :P

Best of all, it's designed well, very classy and would impress anyone who would see it. The ASUS NumberPad 2.0 also can make you forget you're working on a laptop as you can see numbers on the center, computing would be absolutely fun. It's very thin at 13.9mm, weighs 1.17kg and is on a metal chasis, you'll impress your seat mates and be comfortable too with the ASUS patented ErgoLift. It costs Php 64,995 and comes with ZenBook Sleeves and preinstalled Windows and Office 2019 so you don't have to bother and look for em and work right from the day you purchase it. It's my personal companion during those hard days when I need to do a lot of things, and it's amazing I could even play Valorant in it casually. Timeless, beautiful, and very portable. I love it!

You've Got to See the IKEA Festival

In the coming weeks, you'll see a lot of IKEA popup displays as part of IKEA Festival. They're all raring to go open later but before that, they're making you see some of the pieces that they have inside the store displayed in a mock home, wherein you can sit on the chair, touch the table, go through the kitchen, play with children in these spaces. They'll be rolling out more in the next few months so you've got to see them all!

Ms. Aileen Prodigalidad of IKEA says "If you don't know how to cook, you can learn a lot about things here. Gamers also will have so much fun with the IKEA Gaming Range. The IKEA Festival will be opening the store for us, this will be through the IKEA Museum. You will travel back in time and see how the pieces came together."

The POP UP Store in Mall of Asia currently isn't selling the pieces, it's more of an inspiration so when you see the IKEA store open soon, you already have an idea what to get. It's like a real home, so you see everything in place, even the small knickknacks on the cupboard if you are looking for kitchen stuff.

If you want to join the IKEA FESTIVAL, just head on to the official website for the event ikea.com/festival and just click on start watching, there are different rooms in the festival. If you want cooking, design, gaming, there are specific rooms for you. They also have topics for sustainability which you can learn more about in the site.

Can't wait for the store opening, but for the meantime, this will do!
