CROCS Opens Store at B7 Bonifacio High Street

The good looking guy just arrived at the new BGC branch of CROCS, our well loved footwear brand. It's been a while since we've covered an event physically and chances are, we're going to splurge a little bit since it's a great day to start summer festivities in Manila. Their call, is for you to tell your SUMMER STORY and this particular branch has all your unique Crocs Clogs in different colors and styles. The store is also huge you can roam around without bumping into anyone and the center is dedicated to a little treat we call JIBBITZ. They are charms you attach on the holes of your Crocs pairs and I loved every bit of it. I got myself a winter camo (Marble Clogs) colored pair and started picking 90's iconic symbols so I could personalize it.



They encourage this so as to make each pair unique and I love them about that. Loads of celebrities have also gone to the store including Crocs Ambassador AC Bonifacio, Patrick Quiroz, models and influencers from the metro. There are also installations outside the store where you can take photos of you, your friends or family. They are extra colorful too so if you're in the look for a pair, it's time to do it here!

Herlene Budol and Kit Thompson Fall in Love in Puregold Channel's "Ang Babae Sa Likod ng Face Mask"

ooks like Puregold is making another series on the Puregold Channel and we got to talk to the cast of "Ang Babae Sa Likod ng Face Mask". It's a romantic comedy series starring Harlene Hipon Budol and Kit Thompson. Together with them are Mickey Ferriols, VJ Mendoza, Hasna Cabral and villain Kiray Celis. Their first salvo was all about debt called GV Boys and it was a huge success, following up with a new story is certainly a lot exciting.


Ms. Ivy Piedad of Puregold says "It's surprising to see Puregold to have a new series, but during the pandemic we shared the sentiments of our customers because everyone was afraid to go out. We developed fun shows to get them entertained, give prizes, treating the public differently. Inside Puregold stores we lowered prices, but in YouTube we increased our audience simply because we want to connect combined with modern retail. Film maker, Producer and Director Chris Cahilig says "I'm excited to share the trailer later, this project has been in the works for quite a while now."

Director Victor Villanueva says "When this was presented to my by Direk Chris, I got interested because it's a guessing game with the characters. It adds a layer of mystery, with face masks, we all wanted to see who is behind it when we see people. We all want to give and receive love, Malta played by Herlene Budol, would fall in love in this good vibes series. I hope a lot of people enjoy it. The cast has always been so good so I want to see how it turns out when you've got this combination. It's light hearted, sweet, and thanks to Puregold for taking the initiative to have this uploaded online so people can enjoy. It encourages change, and them investing in stories is a good thing."

Herlene says "I am so happy because this is the first time I'm in a starring role. I didn't expect it to be this good, I really relate to the character because I'm not that fresh and use my mask often, I know a lot of people can relate. It's a bonus that my partner here is good looking, our closeup shots felt so good.This show is perfect for me, it really did bring out my confidence. When you're with people who support you, it's easy to do adlibs, do acting stints, memorizing scripts isn't really my forte but I really did tell them before hand. They helped me a lot."

Kit Thompson says "While watching the trailer, I got a little teary eyed. It's so fresh to see this, thanks to our director and producer, this looks so good on screen. Thanks to Puregold for making wonderful content. This is just a taste of what's to be seen, so imagine the whole series."

Kiray says "I like the color grading, the acting, the music, it gave the mood of the show. Their pairing here is phenomenal, and this shoot shows how people fall in love in this day and age where we would need to express ourselves even with just the eyes. This feeling is true during this pandemic. Actually this character is just me really. When you see them, "

Hasna says "It's endearing to see the trailer, they really look good on screen and our outfits really matched the story. I personally see how they look at each other, it's about magic, family, friendship, the definition of beauty and self worth. The work is collaborative, but when they throw lines, it is effective."

VJ Mendoza says "I didn't doubt that this will be a good story because when we were talking about it, it felt like a KDrama, and for sure, the youth will like this a lot. From color grading, the music, I am so proud to see this be made. I am so excited, this will be a riot!"

This will be 13 episodes and will run around 20 minute each. It's going to be worth your time so make sure you're subscribed to the Puregold Channel huh! Antique: Where the Mountains Meet the Sea on Discovery Channel

ust got off the press conference on Antique: Where the Mountains Meet the Sea hosted by the office of DS Loren Legarda and the Department of Tourism. This has been attended by several government dignitaries and executives from Discovery Channel where this will be shown this coming March 23, 2022. This documentary is produced by Studio H20 through DS Loren Legarda's office, the DOT and in partnership with the Province of Antique.

 

 
DS Loren Legarda says "I would want to give my full undivided attention to this project which is close to my heart. During the pandemic, we worked on this which delves on marine biodiversity. This is a Senate project with the DOT so funds will be allocated to them. This is not the first I've done with several groups. We have legislated 94 laws, and if mandated there would be a multitude of national parks and they will be given management plans, this will be my legacy. The loss of plants, animals, on land and underwater could be detrimental for the future. I put all it into bills, together with Senator Villar, and covers 2 areas in Antique which will be part of the feature. This houses marine riches, that puts food in the table, and the discoveries of Studio H2O is just a paradise. We give due recognition to UP Marine Science Institute and RARE Philippines, all our 18 Mayors, Vice Mayors, who will enact local versions. What they did was a community based coral reef monitoring, hired and worked with local people, fisher-folks around the designated areas. They discovered areas suitable for coral growth, more places for fish diversities, 2 endangered species found in our waters, and Manta Rays found only in the country. More exploratory dives should be done as more remains to be seen. I would like to do a project with the DOT, the DENR and LGU's."




 
Boogs Rosales of Studio H2O adds "We really worked hard to push through with our shoot, it will be shown on Discovery Channel for two days. We're glad that we got to work with the various government agencies and have this shown to an international audience. As DS, the funding was from their office, through the DOT. It's a process that went through bidding, it was very hard to work on it. Part of the funding went to also showcasing it in Discovery channel, to promote and highlight the province through visuals and our storytelling."   

Antique: Where the Mountains Meet the Sea will be shown on the Discovery Channel this March 23rd at 6:15PM and will be replayed on March 24 at 8:15AM and 11:25AM Philippine time. This will also be aired in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan and India where Discovery Channel is available.
