Singer-Actor LA Santos Grateful for Continued Success

We met LA Santos a little over 5 years ago when he started a singing career under Star Music. Back then he was featured in Rated K and led 7K Sounds. These days, he's already transitioned from being in the music industry and became an actor, appearing in one of the top shows in the country. He's now part of the cast of DARNA which has been raved about here and elsewhere in the world.

LA says "I've been so blessed about what I have achieved in the past few years. I have now been able to love the art of acting, I am beyond blessed to have been able to join Darna. The experience of being here takes me to another world and I'm glad about the reception of my character Richard Miscala (part of the paramedics) in the show. I've worked hard and have undergone one on one workshops with seasoned actress Malou Crisologo which has been very instrumental in making me part of Mars Ravelo's Darna."

Being on the hit TV show, he now has had the opportunity to work with Joshua Garcia, Janella Salvador, Jane De Leon and other stars from the network. They've been very nice to LA and has given him pointers to take his time with the lines he has, to relax and not overthink. He's been able to make moments happen with his co-actors in the show, and remarks "We're definitely like family!".

LA Santos also appeared in "Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin" together with Sam Milby, Iza Calzado and Jodi Sta. Maria. Jodi told LA during filming that he should understand why he's doing the show, to not get distracted about anything other than his dreams for his family, as they've always been there through the years. They also keep him grounded too.

For now, LA wants to be able to work with Ian Veneracion on a TV or movie project. He was able to open shows for him in recent concerts, as he too is family like the other celebrities he's already worked with.

Recently, his song "Di Maghihiwalay" has become part of the Darna official soundtrack and has been loved by netizens because it's been used for cutesy Joshua and Jane scenes in the show. Aside from being an actor and singer, he also wants to become a veterinarian as he loves animals too. He's also going to have new projects soon but is still keeping it in the wraps. He's so glad about the love he's receiving and is very thankful for the opportunities coming his way. Make sure to listen to his single on the music video embedded above as he's going to make more very soon too.

Congratulations LA! Keep the fire burning!

Bad Life Choices: ALAPAAP Now Out on VIVAMAX App

Today is a good time to head on to your VIVAMAX app to watch ALAPAAP. It's a pretty disturbing film, probably would ruffle a lot of feathers as it's a little unconventional; yet very interesting. This is directed by Fredrich Macapagal Cortez, a protege of legendary Brillante MA Mendoza (as he's worked under a different capacity for 7 years) who's also producing this film.

It delves into the lives of college friends, some who are into film making. To finish their studies, had to make a documentary as requirement. They decided to do a documentary, a tribe from a remote province. It wouldn't be that easy as they're no ordinary bunch of guys and gals. Let's just say it's all about bad parenting, vices, urges and alcohol ultimately taking over their usual lives. They're a pretty rough bunch and it won't be too long til they meet mishaps along the way.

You'll get to see the role of Josef Elizalde who plays Erik Bengzon being a lot problematic. He's in his own world, pretty much feeling invincible but later on receives the ugly truth of his actions. Aside from that, Ali Asistio who plays Orius Plana will make you think if he's a good friend or a a bad influence. He looks like a goody two shoes at first, then an evil doer, and makes matters worse. Katrina Dovey, Andrea Garcia, Chesca Paredes, Alona Navarro provide chameleon like characters wherein the audience begin to see horrid changes as they take in intoxicating drinks or substances. They even took it to the mountains (visiting natives) and lived to regret every second of it. The lone London based guy Luke Selby had some of the press screening the movie at the edge of their seats as he contributed what he could do in the acting department. Albeit foreign, he fit right in like a glove. He was in conversation, yet clueless, you'll have to fish out reasons how he ended up in group sessions as with the other cast members.

I asked how this would be different from a Brillante Mendoza directorial work, and Fredrich Macapagal Cortez told us about his cinematography background that would take this into more of his style. This is quite easy to understand once you get to see the closeup shots (especially the eye, skin and sunlight scenes) which you'll see if you stream this project. This is also exclusively going to be released through the VIVAMAX app so download it if you want to see the movie. Subscription fees are also affordable, so you have a chance to see it all. Aside from that, the cast also told us about how detractors shouldn't look at their work differently. Listen in to what we talked about after the screening, I love how frank Andrea Garcia answers questions:

If this piqued your interest and want to know how it ends, go watch ALAPAAP scheduled to be released today November 18 on the VIVAMAX app.

AIA Showcases Keys to Excellent Customer Experience: Tech Groundwork, AI and Personal Service

Thursday, November 17, 2022

Fresh as a mornings brew, AIA showcased their digitalization movement this year. An insightful way on introducing how they innovate in their goal of building healthier, stronger and better lives.

AIA CEO Kelvin Ang says "Welcome to our second face to face meeting as we share what we have been doing after the pandemic. There's a lot of things we worked on and some of you may ask why we are doing this, it's because we want you to witness the people that have been part of our growth and a big announcement last year as we rebranded to AIA. The need to change constantly has been something that happened especially on the digital side. We are in better position to embrace the future especially in the technology, digital l, and data analytics. We used to have so many layers, we restructured it so we can work faster. We have started this in the company and the work we do with agile tribes. In our 75th year we need to start thinking about embracing change and improvement. Learning is a big part in our organization, make it sustainable, expand further and deeper. We have community, bots, an innovation culture in our organization."

He adds "In the past we used to have processes that took two weeks, now it can be done in 20 minutes. We want to make it easier for our customers. We continued to improve our customer portal online, and this year we spent a lot building sales platform to better assess their needs versus our products. It was done on Facebook messenger and fulfill our mission to make it accessible and more affordable. The one we're sharing today is something that is fun and practical, something from our innovation lab. Plus the new distribution to make it accessible and affordable like our other products."

Chief Technology Officer Noel Mendoza explains "The best worst thing that happened in technology was the pandemic, people had to adapt in a faster pace. Everything had to be changed, and it has changed the way consumers get products and services. What we want to share is the things we need to do in the office. It's very different, as customers demand more and to be able to listen to them. It allows us to attune to customers needs today. This will change over time, and this is our innovation program. Our lab makes us understand what is possible, it's where we see what's relevant in the market. We will give you a taste of that and why automation is important."

Dwayne Tin the Innovation and Automation Lead of AIA says "We are not a physical lab, we enable everyone from CEO to customer to have a voice. It's a virtual representation of what we try to be. In a minute you can do a tour to experience how it is to be part of innovation on ground."

The consumers are vital for technology to reach goals. Improvement needs feedback to see what works and what doesn't. Interacting with customers made them learn to discover and combine things in an automation process. The chat bots was made with the customer in mind, to start conversations that are usually asked, like payments and or policy updates especially if they want to information now. It also is manned by digital workers to provide services fast, without queues, send it to you even with multiple policies in tow. Now it just isn't queries they answer, they do transactions and can do it also on My AIA for more secured ones. It also gives customers the ability to understand the costs without being too shy about asking an actual person, even just on messenger you can already accomplish things. It allows in person conversation to a minimal, so they too can concentrate on those what matters most.

Thank you to everyone who showed us around their offices this morning. Really appreciate it!

AIA Philippines want this to be better, to make sure they can build more things to help more customers in the future. That's a noble thing.
