THE RAIN IN ESPANA to be Shown on TV5

I've seen much talk about this on Twitter and an online novel platform a few months ago. When they were already rolling and announcement of the cast was already done, I am glad how they chose Marco Gallo for the role of Kalix and Heaven Peraleho for the role of Luna. This is first and foremost, a love story. Telling that story from the book to the screen is going to be a hard one and it needs to come across the same way if they want to succeed.

The show will premiere on May 14 at 4PM (and Sundays thereafter) on TV5 and their other platforms, and will have 10 episodes to make sure it translates to the audience how hard it is to balance school, family, love and wished career these days. Things will certainly be complicated once the part of infidelity will be shown, so make sure you watch out what caused it and how it would turn out in the show.

Rain in España has shown a lot of promise in Viva One so having this be on free to air and digital TV will have an entirely new audience to please. Writer Gwy Saludes (who looks so young btw!) is also involved as a creative consultant, so it'll be good to see how it would strictly follow the story line, and perhaps, the success that comes with that. This is also directed by Theodore Boborol who's got several successful movies on his belt, so we do expect this to be told excellently like his other projects.  

Aside from the two stars, the show also includes Gab Lagman, Bea Binene, Krissha Viaje, Nicole Omillo, Aubrey Caraan, Gabby Padilla, Andre Yllana, Frost Sandoval and Francis Magundayao. For more about this project, head on to TV5's social channels and see why people are raving the Rain in Espana.

KATHRYN BERNARDO and 1,308 Gets Guinness World Record at Gatorade No Sugar Sweat Fest!

Our girl Kathryn Bernardo was part of the pack who led festivities at the Gatorade No Sugar Sweat Fest last May 6th. Imagine, 1,308 people clocking in the official Guinness World Record for the largest aerobic weight training class in the world! The previous one was only 978, and imagine, the Queen Kathryn Bernardo on stage participating in it as well, that alone is worth it!

For those who don't know, Gatorade gets the body fueled and energized, and now that it's got no sugar and calories, it'll be the best buddy to have when working out or performing at your peak. This comes in Citrus Quench and Blue Bolt flavors and is available in leading shops nationwide. Kath works out regularly (you can see her abs!) and say even if Gatorade No Sugar doesn't have sugar on it, it still tastes good! She and the participants were also given special shirts that reveal a message when you sweat on it, reminding them to hydrate if you're doing a lot of fitness activities, or have an active lifestyle.

The 11th Worldmaster International Travel Mart (2nd Leg) in Quezon City

 

We just had the pleasure of covering the Worldmaster International Travel Mart 2023 which is currently celebrating their 11th year. It's a business to business forum for international and domestic travel professionals wherein they can connect with legitimate travel agencies in the Philippines. The Philippines is currently in a revenge travel state and the inamiable thirst to see more places around the world and in the country has been much higher than anticipated. This has been heavily supported not just by different travel organizations, but by the Department of Tourism and the local government of Quezon City which this was also held. This is the second leg after doing it in Clark Pampanga last May 8th which was highly successful and it will also happen tomorrow May 12th at the Dusit Thani Residence in Davao City.

As you can see much of the international sellers include those companies that offer trips to the Holy Land (Jordan, Israel, Egypt), plus destinations like Taiwan, China, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and a surprise was the scenic route to Russia among others. Aside from the international destinations, the Philippines had offers to Bohol, El Nido + Coron in Palawan, Boracay, Cebu, Southern Tagalog, the Visayas Region and Mindanao. This is a place where legitimate agencies would be able to work out arrangements from companies so the travel agencies would be able to offer them to travelers like us!

 We were also able to talk to Mr. Noi Alunan of Great Getaways (a travel agency who participated in this year's WITM B2B meetings) where he lauded WITM and how it has benefited the company he represents and the entire travel industry in the Philippines.

The Worldmaster International Travel Mart has been founded by Dr. Leilani Agana and has benefited businesses around the world and the local tourism industry. Dr. Agana was there personally meeting the companies, business owners and travel agency representatives and held a talk about the tourism industry. Representatives from the Department of Tourism and several travel groups also asked questions in a short Q and A to give us a glimpse of the future of travel in the Philippines and how Filipinos could take advantage of the various tours they offer. Part of the questions I asked about the Holy Land tours were graciously answered by Sir Noi, which means there will be more taking interest in doing their own revenge travels very soon. They also emphasize the importance of only doing reservations and arrangements with reputable businesses so they don't get scammed online.

Raf Baradas is the Senior Brand Manager for chocolates in this corp. As a marketing pro, he deems it important to be a consumer of the products that they work with. He remembers making those triangle sandwiches with Cheez Whiz and eating tons of Oreo for snacks back in college. He's glad he's growing with the company that makes it. He also likes how it's very high paced and see how his love for the products become the same for consumers around the country. He bids this a very fulfilling position on both a professional and personal level. He knows putting importance to consumers made the brands what it is today, and glad how there's a mix of people inside the corp. 

 

Gicelle Medina the Senior Marketing Manager for Meals at Mondelez Philippines on the other hand loves how diverse the people are at work. They also have a huge amount of leaders that they get inspired with, to not only work with them, but learn from their brilliant minds. They guide them and have them learn through trials, with some of the best in the industry.
