DK Talents Shine on Mothers Day Special

There are so many talented Filipinos around the world and what an opportune time to showcase this through a Mothers Day Special through Filipino TV, a channel based in Toronto, Canada.

An evening with 6 Filipino-Canadian artists performing for a night of music, dance and the arts, they entitled this event as "Girlpower for the Supermoms". More than the flowers and chocolates which most people give on the day, songs from some of the greatest artists in the world was performed live by talented ladies from the Greater Toronto Area. This is where Gloriane, Chelsea, Arielle, Alyssa, Antoinette and Kayleigh come in. Part of DK Talents, they had a grueling few weeks to rehearse for it. DK Tijam of DK Talents knew he had to manage their schedules. He was extremely grateful for their parents who helped generously, they were able to pull it off and perform that evening.

Much on their playlist was something they wanted to dedicate to their Moms, and personal favorites that they knew would be special for them.  From Antoinette's rendition of “La Vie En Rose”, "You Are My Sunshine" to Kayleigh's version of "Put Your Records On" (she also appeared on 13 the Musical btw!), they all were able to put some smiles on their Moms and those who watched, everyone felt their sincerity and love with the songs. Meanwhile, Chelsea and Arielle did "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" and "Mom" bringing their A game with a little pop influence instead. They also sat down and talked about how their Moms have been instrumental on how they became who they are today, plus a few stories in between how they bonded with their mothers, their relationships, it was so sweet to hear that!

DK Tijam was their producer, stage director, writer, vocal arranger, and everything else in between. He nurtured these ladies and trained them personally. He says "Seeing them all being made up by their own parents, preparing their outfits, and getting help with their dance numbers, I felt really grateful how we have achieved all these in a short amount of time. After training them, seeing them perform today was a WIN. Their vocal range, command of the stage and how they worked with us in choreography, they are all very talented ladies who will certainly go places!"

DK Tijam was a Grand Finalist in popular show Star in a Million (held in the early 2000's), but now trains young aspiring singers in Toronto, Canada. He now has several students that are doing quite well in the Maple state and seeing them all achieve their dreams is his success too. KELVIN MIRANDA to Star in "Missed Connections" on Netflix

Good looking actor Kelvin Miranda is reaping the benefits of his efforts especially this 2023 as he gets multiple projects left and right.

One of which is "Missed Connections" which he is doing together with noted actress Miles Ocampo and sexy vixen Chie Filomeno. It's off tangent of much of the characters he's played in the past; because this time, he's not the cool boy who always hit on girls, but a guy who's never had a girlfriend since birth. He's now someone who's very awkward towards them, which he says was quite hard to play during the shoot. Missed Connections by the way is already streaming on Netflix (oh yes today!) and is under the production of KROMA Entertainment. He was very game answering questions during the press conference.


Kelvin Miranda adds "For me (in finding someone to love), I always go for the one who has personality; because believe it or not, I find it hard talking to women. I don't even post much on social media and much of them understand me when I talk to them."

About his recent wins, he says "I feel the success, and I'm glad my management has always been there to support me in my projects and my personal life. I give my all when I work, because I love what I do. I'm so happy that GMA and Sparkle supports me too, they even put up this presscon just for me. I can't thank them enough because they are always there when I have projects, they give me what I deserve. I know there's a lot of artists in GMA but they do give time to see me, ask what I need."

Kelvin then said "I really count my blessings, I take it easy, I listen to music so I do relax (after work), I try to be reactive on social media because I too love those who love me."

Angel's Pizza Releases New CREAMY SPINACH SUSHI BAKE Pizza

I personally want my pizza to be delivered hot and fast, and one of my go to brands is Angel's Pizza. I often order the CREAMY SPINACH Pizza, but I heard, they've got something up their sleeves. In their quest to provide customers with variety and urge to have something in their menu that is very different, they now have the new CREAMY SPINACH SUSHI BAKE Pizza available in their stores this coming June 5. 

The new Creamy Spinach Sushi Bake Pizza is actually good, I love how extra spicy it is (probably because of the Sriracha, so no need for hot sauce) which would be best for those who are adventurous and looking for something different. It's very savory, there's a lot of umami flavor because of the kani and dried seaweed on top. There's a little creamy spinach flavor, but it's just a hint, so as you can really taste that Sushi Bake flavor that makes this different from their best seller.

Chef Arvin Antonio who is part of the Research and Development for Figaro Group says "Our goal is to make sure our customers have choices. This is why we have to do the work and find ways to create more items on the menu. We got inspired to create new flavors, but never forget to ensure quality and make it affordable. During the pandemic, a lot of people fell in love with the Sushi Bake, which is why we combined it with our favorite pizza flavor. We plan to cater items in it for kids and adults, so stay tuned for more!" 

Mr. Ace Azarraga the Brand and Partnership Director for the Figaro Group adds "As we grow Angel's Pizza and put some more in different locations, trust in us that we will continue to innovate in our pizzas, pastas and different menu items in each store. Make sure you also order their Spaghetti, which I'm sure kids will absolutely love (I actually had a lot of it and forgot to take a photo LOL). They also have Honey Butter Chicken and Carbonara so don't be sad if you're not into pizzas.

Again, if you're looking for variety, take time to look at Angel's Pizza and their better than ever menu. They will continue to make changes in the coming months, and come out with more. Make your voice heard and suggest pizza flavors while you're at it. Their customer service and social channels are pretty active, so make sure you follow them there too! Round Up Em Cowboys as Shakey's Texas BBQ Chicken is Back!

I'm sure there's a certain Shakey's pizza that you love, and this one is making a huge comeback. Ity the Shakey's Texas Chicken BBQ Pizza, this was first offered in 2008 and people who frequend the restaurant and on social media have been telling them to bring it back. This is now available in all Shakey's branches nationwide (as it starts June 1st) and people who love it's barbecue, woodsy taste would have to gladly line up or order through the Shakey's app, and delivery apps to get a taste of it. 

If you do remember, this has got those savory chunks of barbecued chicken on top, spices, cheese, onions, and Shakey's signature barbecue sauce that makes it special. Remember, this is only available for a limited time, so there's no better time to get it but now!
