Mathew Sygal So of Marikina Vies for Mister International PH 2023

Having a quiet life must be something that people would wish for, and I wouldn't blame them because it's an easy route. A few days ago, we met with Marikina City's representative for the Mister International 2023 pageant Mathew Sygal So. He's a Management Engineering student from the Ateneo de Manila University (a very tough course!), and he had a reason why he joined. I didn't have to think about it because at the venue, there were several PWD's clad in their country uniforms. They were athletes who won several bronze, silver and gold medals from the recent ASEAN Para Games 2023. They have represented the country well. It was so awesome to see them all cheering him on.

They were from the National Council on Disability Affairs which he's been actively involved in these past few years. Prior to him joining the pageant, he was hailed as their ambassador. Which is why one of the reasons he wanted to join Mister International Philippines 2023 was to further their cause. Here's part of the interview we did with Mathew:

 

It's so nice that he was game to also answer questions about joining showbiz and perhaps politics later on. But for now, he's glad that he was able to tell a story about his passion on giving PWD's a voice, to hopefully have awareness so everyone would practice equality, because he believes that if they were given the same opportunities, the too can do it.

I hope this has given you more insight about their plight, Mathew Sygal So is going to do his best to further make this cause heard in the international scene to hopefully have more people hear about their plight and see why he deserves a title in Mister International 2023.

YES MY LOVE Set to Perform in Singapore Today!

Seeing Niko, Joshua, RZ, Jeff,  Eli, and Brian from Cornerstone Entertainment's boy group "Yes My Love" must have been a dream for a few, but it certainly happened to me a few days ago. It was an intimate performance with only a few peers from media seeing their performance for the first time as they embark in a concert to be held in Singapore (today at 2PM, you can still get tickets at sistic.com.sg) at the Esplanade Recital Studio in the Merlion state. 

It's called SPECTACLE! which they will do together with other PPOP and SPOP groups namely Estelle Fly, Alfred Sun, BINI, BGYO and XOXO. For those who don't know, Yes My Love was just formed a few months ago comprised of the defunct members of TOP Class and a few artists they put together from Cornerstone Entertainment's pool of talents. I didn't have to research much on their legitimacy because as soon as they opened their pipes, I just said WOW, these guys can really sing! Plus the fact that they were doing it with a routine that has so much vigor, sexy vibes, reminiscent of RnB and boyband groups in the 90's, but still have that energetic technical prowess and moves you would see in PPOP which makes them quite different from their peers in the business. Here's a two part interview we did with them after their short program, I hope you get to know them even better after this!

Then we had a few naughty questions asked, something fans (143's which love them) would absolutely adore.

I can't wait to see them get the attention they deserve especially now that they have an international stint in happening in Singapore. Filipinos Deserve Excellent Products

Everybody deserves excellent products, this is something that remains true with celebrity Kiray Celis, actor Arron Villaflor, streamer Stephan Estopia and body positivity mover Pash Pacia.

During trips outdoors, he still wears reusable Dacian face mask and eagerly wants to discover more of what Taiwan has to offer. 

Meanwhile, Gamer and live streamer Stephan Estopia believes to get ahead of the game, one needs to get quality peripherals from ROG and ASUS. From mice and earphones; he knows the things he need to use every day. they're one tough company to break especially since there's so much great electronic products that is brought to PH that all feels so good to have, I should know, I own one.

Mavy Legaspi and Kyline Alcantara for Luv Is: Love at First Read

It looks like GMA is bringing you another chance to believe in love with the new installment of Wattpad webnovel series called Luv Is: Love at First Read. It's based off a Wattpad web series that's already garnered millions of views on the platform. It's about a guy (named Kudos played by Mavy Legaspi) who's quite skeptical about love, and meeting at unexpected circumstances.

Kudos is a jock, but just couldn't  find the one girl that would make his world stop. After an accident, she (Angelica) had to help him with school and all. Then they find their lives intertwined after Mavi's character Kudos gets to pick up Angelica's diary and read it. He felt he was reading about his ideal girl. Will destiny become part of the reason to find the one?

 

Kyline says "Mavi and I have always stayed so grateful, as for pressure Mavi is more excited and we both trust the process in making this. I'm just glad I'm working with a person I'm comfortable with, and that's Mavi. We don't really pay attention anymore with criticism, especially the ones that are out of context, but pick up those that can improve us. It feels so good to be able to explore another character, in a new series. Compared to my other projects , this has more emotions. The last time I was giddy was watching the fast talk episode he was in, go watch that on YouTube. He said there that I'm his world, and hearing that, I really appreciate him more."

Mavi adds "It starts with the trust with you co artist who respects our work and personal ethics, we balance it out and as Kyline says, it's being transparent with what we do. It's a big thing for us and it has helped us in a great way! Being with her, I always look at her eyes, and that's when I feel kilig, every second actually."

 

 

 

Aside from Mavy and Kyline, the cast includes good looking actor Bruce Roeland, internationally awarded actress Therese Malvar, Larkin Castor, Josh Ford, Kiel Gueco and Vito Gueco (of the Gueco Twins) and Mariel Pamintuan.

This is a partnership with Wattpad Webtoon Studios and GMA, choosing the story and they said is first and foremost, based on popularity. Hopefully they will be able to make more programs out of novels in the platform. And soon, there will be more stories that will be in GMA. The writer also said that even though there are changes, it will be developed for TV so they will love the story even more. You've got a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks.
