Just this morning I was watching the events unfold on the upcoming food event from another website I follow called http://www.awesomeplanet.com. I was wishing I could attend their foodie event come September since I am leaning towards food photography too aside from the usual Model/Fashion/Glamor Photography I have been doing for the past few months since Trish (my Nikon D60) arrived. I really want to go to this one specifically because I had to make sure my food writing and critique skills be put to the test. The cow in me has been eating that much these days that it would be beneficial for both of us to give it a shot. I already did a review on STACKERS and a few other restaurants in Eastwood. I also did Pho Hoa from Tomas Morato so if it turns out that I like this like I like it now, it will be a regular thing for me and my readers.

Tomorrow it will be another day so I have to get them clickers ready so I can practice doing Food Photography. Not to mention EVENTS because next Thursday, August 27, 2009 Rico Blanco will be in Eastwood for a small concert. I'm surely going to be there!

The Best is me... I am an HP Mini Note!

Wednesday, August 19, 2009

It's so tiring to be pressed day to day by one or more people. I had a soft touch keyboard yet some press me profusely as if I was a typewriter, not amusing. I connect day to day with wireless networks at work or at home and sometimes I was even getting access to unsecured ones I had to be protected by firewall or anti virus software. I am so glad that they care.

With maximum processing speeds and my bid to try and lessen the cause of electrical consumption, being an HP Mini Note makes me proud. I was glad to help my masters and be carried around so conveniently at any WIFI networks here and around the country. Without my owners worrying of technical support when they need it and where they need it, I ease their burden a lot. The power packed brother of mine easily known as HP Desktop has the best software available for photo and video processing my master needs when they need help on bigger projects that I could not handle. Each day, I boot up and down but never get tired. I know I help a lot of people finish their work and be carried around because I am so light weight I do not need to have a special diet designed for me. My parents at the HP plant made sure I do what I was supposed to do since I already passed strict quality control. I will never stop making my masters so happy!

My HP makers just recently announced more people can now get $500 off instantly when you purchase an HP HDX 16t with a $300 coupon code NBN3248 + $200 Instant Rebate. This will only be valid through 8/23 or while supplies last. Restrictions and exclusions apply.

This great discount off the actual price can give you ultimate HP satisfaction we have been giving our owners. I hope you get some of my friends too so you will be happy like us with our masters. I am powerful yet I do not compromise my sleek looks. That is how awesome we are... HP Mini notes and Pavilion computers like us are always like that!

I FOUND IT!!!

Sunday, August 16, 2009

I've been looking for a batch watermarking software since it is so hard to post process photos one by one in Photoshop. I have downloaded at least 7 and installed them on my laptop. But they all end up asking for payment and put weird lines and their company name on it. This is really not a good thing. Today I just discovered the answer to my problems so I would love to share this with you.

This is the software I use for batch watermarking… It’s called FastStone Photo Resizer 2.8

You can download it here CLICK THIS

To use it, make your signature first on Photoshop using the text tool and or a graphic…

Make sure you make a layer that is unlocked so you can crop your signature afterwards…

Save that signature as a PNG file on your local hard drive

After that, open Fast stone Photo Resizer 2.8
Select the photos you want to put a watermark on (hold Ctrl + photos can select multiple photos) and click the Add button on the top right hand corner (you can choose your output folder too)

I chose 2 photos just for this example

on this batch convert tab press the button right next to the Use Advanced Options (Resize) section

On this new window, click the Watermark tab and check add watermark

Click the button beside watermark image and choose the PNG file you saved on your hard drive

Carefully adjust the opacity level (mine works on 25-35 but its up to you!) so it should look something like this:

TIP: Make sure your signature is big enough for the picture you are putting it in, do some tests until you get the output right…

Press OK then press CONVERT… then click DONE… your photo should look something like this

ENJOY!! Now it's so easy to post process pictures!

What Do You Get When You See A Blue Light?!

Friday, August 14, 2009

I have been shopping these past few weeks and got quite a deal on a number of establishments I went to. I remember I got 10 percent off on the pair of jeans I bought and it was not that difficult to find because I came to one place called KMART. It has been a Mecca for deal finders and shoppers all over North America. I thought that it would not be better but hey, I was wrong!

COW

There is this one special day they call Kmart Bluelight special in the store happening the whole day Saturday, August 15, 2009. Kids Backpacks which regularly sells for $19.99 now only sells $8, American Fare Vita-Water 2 for $1, Patio Furniture 70% off + an extra 20%, 70 count Notebooks – has a Buy 2 Get 1 promo Free, Diamond Jewelry extra 10% (Diamonds are already 70% off this week!) all happening on that day where KMART is known for; the BLUELIGHT SPECIALS.

I'm sure a lot would be lining up the store on this day because only KMART gives us real value for money. Why spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars in purchasing items that you eventually would regret in the future. KMART gives us the privilege to save money in these hard times so why not grab the opportunity this weekend?! It is a good thing that I follow Kmart on Twitter to get the best deals and updates direct from the store. Not only should you buy me that next pair of jeans I need, buy one for your self too.
